While the warrior guide was decent at best, I think the real gem in this thread is something most people will probably just skim past and not even notice. A shame, really. I'm of course talking about the arcane mage guide Reptile posted. At first, this may look crude or unfinished, but if you look at it at give it some time you'll realize the subtle hits and how it promotes arcane's fluctuating and delicate play style.
I'm going to request sticky not for the so-so warrior guide, but so more people might discover the great post about the arcane guide. |

Very solid guide, got a couple of things worth mentioning nevertheless
If you have HOR equipped ideally you want to time cs reck and dw with the procc in the start of the fight. Having an ICD addon is very useful if you want to delay your cds by a small margin later on to use them together again @ domo: sub 20% remember to refresh execuioner stacks on the boss while tab switching if youre on add duty as melee. Get a grip from a priest and leap back on the boss if you have the debuff on 2secs or vice versa. @ alys: if youre on initiates duty you should only use your first dw on the 2nd initiate while switching to hatchling with intercept and leap on 3rd initiate to maximize dw uptime of your dps. It will still be back up for burn phase #1 Sherea |

First of all nice thread mate, enjoyed reading it. Nice to see more oldschool fury warr fanatics™!
Quick question from me, i was using the Zulian slasher from ZG x2. Today i had the chance to ninja the gatecrasher, tho i feel uncomfortable using an agi based weapon. Had bad luck so far with getting upgrades. so now my question, does the dps increase on the weapon justify the loss of strength on zulian slasher? doesn't... feel... right... /cry |

I've seen a few SMF warriors rocking the gatecrasher. I, personally, think it's a no-no to use an agility weapon, since you can still do decent damage with two slashers. I for example raided two resets with 2x gurubashi punishers and did OK dps. A lot better with at least a good mainhand of course, but gatecrasher is pretty taboo in my eyes for an SMF warrior.

First of all nice thread mate, enjoyed reading it. Nice to see more oldschool fury warr fanatics™! As weapon damage is a very small portion of our damage it's going to take quite an ilevel leap for an agility weapon to be worth taking. Then again the Zulian slasher is 353 and the gatecrasher is 378. I'm quite sure that in this case the weapon damage (and white hit damage increase) actually beats the zulian slashers. Keep in mind though that whenever you can get them even a pvp 378 onehander with strenght will beat gatecrasher. |

Very nice guide! I do have 2 questions/comments though.
Landsoul isn't very fond of Apparatus, due to it taking long to get 5 stacks, and the poor stacking with reck. As you point out though, you can use it for the 2nd half of DW, and because of reck you're almost guaranteed to have 5 stacks by then. As you also mention, it's very good for fights with burst phases. I think we can all agree that Landsoul knows his stuff, so do you know why he prefers HoR? 2nd question. I'm flying on alys, so I might have missed something, but why would you want to cleave the adds during the burn phase? I thought they just flew away afterwards, so it's just useless dmg? |
