I could really do with some help n advice please.
I have not been playing long and this is my first lvl 85, but just can't seem to get good DPS at all. I am trying to get better weapons but I don't have the money or friends to help out.

Since I have got to lvl 85 I have been kicked out of nearly every dungeon run I have done due to poor DPS, so in urgent need of help.

Yeah... Lemme get started then...

a) loose the PvP gear if you want to PvE, since people tend to not look so nicely upon PvP geared people in PvE dungeons and when you cannot do the DPS in PvP gear, well... I hope you get my point. Besided the vicious bow breaks more easely than anything you have for PvE.

b) strength and expertise are your worst stats ever like mana. You have no use for them so get rid of you sword, both rings. Also the stamina trinket, you do not need stamina that much.

c) get your hit to 7% for normal HC, 8% if you plan to do any raiding

d) preferable gem and enchant some of your gear. Anything small helps alot.

e) your MM talent tree scares me x_x. I do think you do PvE in MM?
Rapid killing should have only 1 point, second one is not that important. Resistance is futal is pointless to have, even in PvP since KC has !@#$ty ranged anyhow. And your glyphs.

I myself don't have a pure PvP spec so you can find prolly a tutorial with suggestions.

f) your BM tree should be better as well abit. This should be good all around spec for solo/PvE http://www.wowhead.com/talent#cfhfskGzRRofMb:ozmczMc0M The glyps are so-and-so... As for the improved mend pet, it depends, you can drop the point and place it into Hunter vs Wild or somewhere else. Haven't played BM in a while though.

g) What is your rota? BUT please, go read some of the good hunter guides. They help alot.

h) Your dps pet's (cats) need to have their talents a bit differently placed to get the max out of it. Bring a wolf along as well (same talent tree pnts for wolf) - http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/tool/pet-calculator#bp00!TaaYVaajde!! If your pet does DPS, it doesn't need any survival talent pnts....

(Yeah, I forgot to enchant my legs, will fix that mistake when I get home, also will swap the glyph of MD with something else. Either Sliencing shot for Alys interrupt or raptor strike)

I have a lot of haste since I'm using arcane shot as a focus dump, If I reforge to mastery my focus dump would be aimed shot the wild quiver from mastery compensate the damage loss from arcane shot^^ Hope getting some more firelands stuff but you chest big mistake, the non-set chest is much better than the set t12

Hungerer is a really crappy trinket for a hunter. Only heroic version is worth equipping. Also I believe completing the 4t12 will give ya more profit than 391 piece. 9/10

Anything will do really I feel like i'm starting to get stuck in a rut dps wise I hit 17k on our shannox kill last night which is probably on the low end of what I should be doing now anything I can tidy up?

Edit: pvp gear on hopefully it's knocked off on my next log in.

not bad but u miss a bracer enchant and why u have spell penatration in your belt is that realy that good for pvp ??

Spell Pen is needed so players can't resist our traps. I know, dumb design...

Since you're still leveling I can't say much... but: Change your tabard! Screw Ironforge, get the Gilnean one! Looks much better.

Yeah, I understood the fact that you were using Arcane Shot as a focus dump, but as far as I know, the magical number is a bit below 10% haste with three points in Pathing. :P

I do disagree on the tier chest, though. I'd rather replace either the shoulders or pants for having arguably the most boring stats (i.e. a lack of crit rating).

I have changed my talent tree, I have a new staff and swapped my pet as people said the original pet was good enough for now.

I am just having a hard time finding a better ranged weapon and gear, I don't know what gear to get mainly as I did mainly buy Honor Point's stuff.

Gear is good in dungeons if I can stay long enough and not get kicked out due to low DPS.

You can take a look at this, how to gear your hunter.

The Int Shoulders and Str ring will have to go, as even a level 30 item with some agility is better, Roughly said :)

Sorry that was my pvp gear which wasn't what I had in mind when posting it's this set (I got the head sorted tonight :D).

Could do with a wider variety of pets for buffs.

Your gemming is rather strange, having 2 different types of orange gems for one. I would recommend changing your two gems in your legs for two delicate inferno rubies (40 agility), and changing your adept ember topaz for a deadly ember topaz.

I would enchant your wrists with agility over haste. Maybe change your scope (preference).

You're better off using fluid death over prestors talisman and if you have access to essence of the cyclone heroic then that over your rickets magnetic fireball.

Yo're slightly over the hit cap, I would recommend re-working your reforges. I would suggest putting yourself through wowreforge.

I would also recommend taking a point out of silencing shot to maximise marked for death and put your point in trueshot aura to get 2/3 frenzy in the bm tree.

looks pretty much top notch to me!

You should remove one point from rapid killing and silencing shot/termination and get careful aim. Hit is fine if you don't raid.
Get agility enchant for gloves and bracers, and flintlocke woodchucker for bow :)

Cheers for the advice trueshot aura will need to stay though as we haven't got the buff anywhere else taking silencing shot was for utility more than anything. I have the new scope but isn't 800 ap better than the 300 agility? I haven't checked how well it scales for a while.

No no no no

Flintlock is awsome, dont forget aswell as AP we also get crit from the proc, these extra stats also go to your pet.
