So, about that button to disable transmogrification

We've had a pretty long thread about this, including a blue post (which seemed to miss the point or ignore it) which got filled up and then died. I'd like to know if there will be a button for people like myself, who prefer to look at the real game instead of the circus the playerbase will turn it into?

We already reached the conclusion that there's no downsides, apart from the small group of players who feel they should be able to force their 'creativity' on us. You like it? No problem. You don't? Just disable it. Everybody wins (and wins even a bit more, since grumpy men like myself won't have to get even more grumpy at watching some 'funny' player dualwielding fishes while wearing a dress, which in turn might lead to a better dungeoneering/random bg/whatever experience for all involved).

Oh good you're back.

You know I never liked the like of Taurens. Disable ALL the Taurens! They make my game look like the Blizzard farm was handed over to the 14 year old playerbase.

Trolls too, then we are talking. OR have all tauren and trolls turned into blood elves+forsaken.

Id say that would be a fair function to add.

Actually, you were the " small " group of players. Did you even bother reading the thread? Or are you too blinded by your own sense of self justification?

I'm guessing the latter, hop along little bunny.

Those aren't arguments since Tauren are part of the game, with their own mechanics. Itemskins are not.

Edit: Also I knew you trolls would be back here :) There's literally nothing to lose with a disable button, so stop trying to ruin my thread, thank you.

Transmogrification is part of the game (Or will be when 4.3 hits) And has its own mechanics, so violating one systems mechanics is fine but our request is invalid?

Double standards sir?

Also since there is no planned implementation of this function at the moment, we dont need to prove anything. Its you that needs to give your arguments and reasons correctly.

So far your only argument has been " I want it "

I want to disable this thread and all the other threads of a similar nature, can that be done?

No, because right now we're not even on the PTR yet and changes can still be made. Tauren had plainsrunning until people complained, then they gave them Kodos. The same can be done here, don't you agree?

Also in which way does this even hurt anyone?

Ok, going by that logic. I hate foliage. And trees. And flowers. And benches. And skyboxes.

Disable please.

The Transmogrify feature will allow players to customise the look of their character within reason. We've already stated that it's likely certain items will not be available to transmogrify, including fish as weapons, and other items such as frying pans, for this very reason. As you know, armour types will also be locked, preventing tanks in cloth dresses for example.

The rules will be tweaked as time goes on, but we're keen to keep the outlandish outfits to a minimum. What players wear while socialising in cities is up to them, exactly the same as now.

While I won't disable moggin, 'cuz I leik 2 c kewl raid sets, I do agree with OP. It'd be nice if mogging could be disabled client side for people who wouldn't like to use it.

Because its senseless censoring of other peoples choices, based on your own selfish outlook.

If you are so easily offended perhaps you need to take a step back. Take a deep breath. And laugh at yourself.

it helps.

Aaaaw.... why? Having a dagger turned fish would for me be a good reason to level a gnome rogue... my (now deleted becouse I can only have 10 chars on a server) gnome rogue had a fish ofhand and it looked realy funny.

I still think it's kind of insulting to the modelers who make those items to have everyone turn them into something else :s (even though some pieces do look like I wouldn't want to be seen dead in them) I also fear it will mean that new stuff won't have as much thought put into the design becouse it can be changed anyway.

How exactly does it 'hurt' you?

You have no right to turn off mogging in fact the only right you have within the game is your opinion, now we have heard your opinion before and now we are bored of it so please keep it to yourself.

What gives you the right to say you dont want to see someone char as they wish to have it appear?

Get lost

Because I prefer watching the real game, instead of some random kid's idea of a funny outfit.

So now you know fish are a no-go, are you happy now?
People were chilling before with fish and dresses and ridiculous outfits, is it just the supposed influx you're expecting that's bothering you?

Calling kids tends to lessen your credibility on these forums.
