I started 2 or 3 months after the launch of WoW as a druid and i mixed int/agi/spirit gear cause i felt everything could benefit me! It took me till level 16 or something to find out that i could spend talent points and i spend ages getting Aqua form! When i finally got cat form I was the happiest druid on the realm and when I hit lvl 30 and got cheetah-form I laughed at all my friends cause they could not trafel fast! Once they reached lvl 40 and got fancy mounts i cried for a week cause i was now the slow cat ;)

I ended up as a prot warr!

What was your real first class, what did you do and what are you playing as 'main' now ?

Would like to hear some great stories !

Well, I started 5 years ago with a Gnome Rogue (SulkySue). Had lots of mages inbetween (Tasia, Tynara, Fuseblower), returned to a Rogue (Moogyfoogy) and now I'm busy with this Holy Priest to try something different than dps. All my toons (over a 20 through the years) are Gnomes though.

This mage ofc, although it's seen a few faction/race changes, maybe a third into TBC when I started, took a while to level though as I went inactive so only really caught S4.

Begun as a druid on US servers. Got bored; quit. Bought EU copy of WoW, leveled a hunter. Got bored; quit.

Then I made Funckle, who was previously known as Drumble and the addiction hit me. After hitting level 80, Funckle was a troll for a few months. Although I <3 trolls, trolls with goggles are a bit weird. So back to the Alliance I went and Funckle was born.

Now I play more on my priest than any other class. I like to do something else than DPSing all the time. Funckle's more of a farmer/fisherman now. I rarely do PVE or PVP anymore.

I was young! I needed the money.

Edit : being a PvP Holy Priest for the Alliance officially sux donkey balls. Trying to keep a bunch of potty mouthed no-skill kids alive who can't even beat half their own number with the help of imba AoE healing.

I'm back to being a Rogue. At least I can turn the tide of the battle with some quick ninja-ing (Gnomes are perfect for that, they can hide behind the flag pole :)

Well, at least I got Holycog geared up.

Started playing at TBC launch and this is my very first character.

Was very casual back then, took almost a year to level to 70, joined the Crew and went fairly quickly from being a clueless paladin to a raider.

started as a human paladin in 2006 on defias brotherhood rppvp. back then i didn't know what a tank was, i didn't even know much about talents. my first memory in warcraft was sitting around with a bunch of people by a fire near the tower of azora and listening to their conversation (i didn't really know enough to actually join the conversation but it was still great to be a part of it) about a dragon that lives in a "black" mountain nearby..

i remember the first time i saw a hordie in westfall, i panicked and started yelling for help. noone was around and i didn't know what to do. the hordie /waved at me and went about his way but i fled nonetheless, and hid in a cave for half an hour, my heart pounding. i didn't realize that he couldn't attack me unless i enabled pvp.

few days later i figured every knight needs a bow as well as a sword but i just couldn't figure out how to get the bow weapon skill. a gentleman i ran into in goldshire told me there was a trainer in the elven city of darnassus, but i didn't know how to get there. i asked around in stormwind "how can i get to darnassus" and to my surprise, nobody made fun and they politely gave me directions. i can't imagine the same thing in today's game with all the "nub/scrb" talk. people were decent back then.

so anyway, they told me to go north to ironforge and take the boat to kalimdor. it took me all night to make the journey from ironforge to wetlands, getting lost and getting killed several times. i must have been level 12-13 then. i finally completed the journey and found the trainer but turns out paladins can't use bows. i remember being very upset about it, because it didn't make sense to me, how hard could it be to shoot a damn bow?

so i thought i should play a class that makes sense and rolled my first main, a human rogue. played him for a long time until i hit 60. i did a little bit of everything but the most fun i had was warsong gulch and the world pvp in tarren mill, and the rp events held after that. after months of playing and learning the tricks of the trade, i became an officer in my guild and made a lot of friends some of whom i still remember fondly. i also met my girlfriend there. good times.

i still remember the night i bought my first mount, and the night i bought my first epic mount. it cost a LOT of money back then, some people were far from affording an epic mount even though they had been level capped for a while.

i had to take a 6 month break when i had to serve in the military and tbc came out when i was away. when i returned, i felt a bit alienated after seeing all my old friends riding flying mounts and wearing gear with crazy stats. i quit shortly after.

some time later i returned again, this time to ravenholdt rppvp. immediately fell in love with northrend and since my healer friend asked me to roll a tank, i said why the hell not. and that was how qoorth was born.

took another break shortly after the world first LK kill and returned once again two days before cata, to my current home, darkmoon faire.

i still think there's lots of fun to be had in the world of warcraft but sadly the players get more and more stupid with every patch. so that's my little story and a little qq right there.

I started of with my druid Scaleron on wich i hit lvl 58 the same day as TBC came out so off to the store to buy TBC in wich i played resto only. And at the start of WotLK I went Boomkin instead due to we had soooo many healers at that time. after a while i got bored of the druid and changed to Elemental Shaman (Taaka) when Trail of the Crusader was released. i ended up changed to Resto instead. Played Taaka for the rest of WotLK.

Now in Cata i started of on my troll warlock Elajin but i never really liked the class so now here i am happier then ever on my Fury Warrior!

I started a Human Paladin called Thorgils about 5 months before BC was released. My class was mixed (afterall i need points in protection to help me survive and points in retri to hit harder right?! :P) and my gear was tank/healer/dps or whatever made my stats marginally increase. It was great fun learning the game and the zones. It had that lovely "new" feeling. Got him to level 42 before having to quit wow while i moved house.

Came back just after BC was releasedand made a bloodelf Paladin called Kailas (thought id start again as i couldnt remember what did what and i though blood elves looked cool (*sigh*). Had a great time geting to 70. Enjoyed RP and joined a fun guild called The horde Sanctuary. Had a blast with them guys. I quit the game again after getting a bit bored about 6 Months before Wotlk.

Came back about 2 months into Wotlk and made a Priest called Aeilman. Back over to Alliance as horde seemed quiet when i returned. Picked a priest as i wanted to heal more and shadow seemed like a fun dps spec. Enjoyed levelling up mad more new friends and have started getting into raiding and having a great time again. Though i can feel another quit for a bit moment heading my way :P

I started playing, oh, probably about a year after World of Warcraft was released. My very first character was a Night Elf Druid, whom I only played with when my Husband wanted to play, and we levelled to around 20 together. After a couple of weeks of wanting to play, but not wanting to wait until he had the time to play with me, I rolled this redheaded rogue and she has been my main ever since, which is...well, I suppose around five years now!

vanilalalalala started my paladin cunnaz first on genjuros got to lvl 23 gave up then xfered to DMF, rolled a few chars on DMF to start off what was an epic 10 man 19 twink team on this as geezzar ^^(good old days on battleground bombsquad with scamp/eld/saur/rip etc), after that rolled many other twinks to a 39 tier (as a hunter called shadowkill) in GOld mining co and we were simply unbeatable and this was probably the funnest point of my time on wow with the likes of nhap/nodge/Pincher/Eld again he just keeps showing up <3, after that it came to TBC where i rolled my hunter scyther, which i deleted MANY times, but had some good times in invaders of chaos/athene/various other guilds cant remember as its been way too long this was Best Pve state of game BY FAR, and in s4 lol Molten core premades FML was like an iron fortress in AV at galv. wotlk -omg goldshire dueling moved to dalaran sewers JEEZUS!! by then i had 10 80s lol sad times =( lol but alot of fun with frayz and the lads (is it possible to call frayz a lad?) but still haha good times, then cata came and to be honest feels like games out of hand but nether the less it was still enjoyable even tho half the time it just felt like people couldnt control thier emotions on trade etc, but that happens everywhere i guess, the last chars people probably saw me round on were megabean etc, but my time on this game is up now, thought i'd have a gander on forums and i saw this thread, suited a farewell i guess. but thanks for the good times on dmf all was certainly a pleasure playing with alot of the oldies but like many hobbies/interests, times change and so do they. ciao xx

I started out with lots of little alts in vanilla, but my first level 60 was a Forsaken Rogue on Moonglade. I had absolutely no clue what I was doing. I spent months farming for the 900 gold the epic mounts cost back then. I was in a really nice raiding guild though, and they kept me around even though I was an annoying 16/17 year old who had no clue how to play my class.

I also shared an account with both my brother and my mom back then. :D

Then Darkmoon Faire was created and I made Alyssà the Human Priest. And then I learned how to play.

Started playing on DMF in January 2007, just before TBC was released.

After playing with a warlock called Kreepo for about 10 levels I rolled this warrior and levelled him as arms, changing to Prot at level 60. Stayed Protection all the way through TBC (indeed swore I'd never play another spec) but changed to fury then arms in Wrath, not looked back since.

lets see..Dwarven Paladin on Trollbane..a pvp realm...
Refused all matter of hands out cuz "I CAN DO IT...MYSELF!"...took me...ages to get to level 20...

then a Warlock, on Sunstrider, because my friends on trollbane quit. Which again, took me ages to get anywere because "I CAN DO IT...MYSELF!"

Then moved the lock to Darkmoon faire, an RP realm because obviously, I wanted to RP again.

and now i'm a troll hunter :D
