Hello everyone,
Darkened guild is currently recruiting for PvE progression. Before I give you all the details, let me make a short introduction on the Darkened guild: On 21st November 2008, a few friends decided at the beginning of Wrath of the Lich King Expansion, that we wanted a new way to raid, one that meant we could maintain our real lives, while reaching end content progress, thus Darkened was born. The guild is almost 3 years old, and faces new challenges with Cataclysm expansion, however this will not deter us from progressing and enjoying the game! Darkened is an English speaking guild and we are currently looking for dedicated members (only level 85) that enjoy raiding to get the most out of Cataclysm. A friendly and mature attitude will be essential as we want to build a good team to take on raids and do not want people who are not going to work with the guild as one unit. Above all we are here to play the game and have fun. We expect our members to respect our decision on the fact that these raids are unpuggable until a tues night with an executives permission, as we're here to work as a guild and a team, and not out for ourselves. Darkened will not tolerate members who are bullies, racist or ninjas. We like to maintain a good reputation where necessary, and encourage all members to be honest as possible. Currently we are recruiting all classes and specs because we want to extend our raiding teams. All applications will be considered, but keep in mind that only the best will be accepted. We will check your gear, gems, enchants, spec and glyphs. In case some are missing we won't reject you. Advices will be given by our officers as to how you can improve your character and after a couple of days we will re-check everything to see what changes you made. As you saw I didn't say anything about checking your progression. We are not the elitist kind of guild who will check that. What we ask of you is that you read and understand tactics for all the bosses we are doing. That is all! Our current progression is 6/7 in Firelands. We are also doing old raids from time to time to help members get achievs\pets\mounts\legendaries\receipes etc... Currently we raid from Sunday to Thursday from 19:30 to 23:30 server time. On Friday and Saturday we have fun nights\contests\ clearing old raids for gear and achievs\ Rated BGs (practically chillin' :D ). The minimum attendance we request from our raiding members is 2 out of 5 nights, because we know people have a life, with work, problems, family and friends, so we don't expect anyone to show up each and every time. There is a social part to the guild. We got friends and family who are just in the guild for leveling up, having fun & enjoying the game. We also have Socialite ranks designed for people who are interested in the guild but are not yet ready for raids or cannot commit themselves to raiding schedule. We don't do any RPing so far, but who knows how things will change?! :) We don't stop members from enjoying the game in their own way. There is 1 thing missing however (personal thought) whats the raid times etc? Is there a Social part to the guild and/or maybe even a RP or leveling part? |

Update:
Last night Darkened killed the all mighty Ragnaros!!! We had some small problems due to some members not being able to raid lately (IRL stuff), but we are back on track now! Moreover we have started alt runs for full clear of Firelands! Starting next reset, the main group will dive into the heroic modes offered by FL! Darkened is still looking to expand our group with reliable and mature people and maybe even start a second group as we did in the past. So this is your chance! Each year on 21st November we celebrate our guild birthday! And this year Darkened will become 3 years old! It is a wonderful time full of surprises and challenging contest! All members are taking part in these celebrations and everyone is having a fun time :) For example last year we had the renowned guild quiz, the Tunderbluf Death Jump, the guild War games and the treasure hunt! It was amazing! Update:
Last night we thought it would be fun to try the 25 men version of FL on normal. We went in with 19 people (not everyone was online) and we downed 3 bosses :) Even with the current content nerf, it still proved challenging since we missed 40% of our DPS. It felt like doing hard modes :) So currently we will try to build a full 25 men group. As such we are in need of 3-5 good and reliable DPS, 1-2 tank healers and maybe 1 tank also. This is a promotional video provided by Runzwithfire. Darkened just downed Ryolith in HC 10 man :) It took us a little while to figure out the best tactic but we did it!
On a side note 3 people transferred from other servers to join Darkened in the last 2 weeks :D Darkened is mostly looking for some tank healers and for ranged DPS now. Especially hunters! So 4.3 just hit today and we all got excited! Finally we would face the greatest evil to appear in Azeroth until now!
So we went straight into DS after some members running the LFR and.... aaaannnnd...... We got 4 out of 8 on 10 man normal on the first night! Looking forward to meeting Deathwing next week at most :D We have most positions opened, so now it's a great time to stop by darkened.wowstead.com and meet the guild. @ Burningiron: Hello there. I saw you already applied on our forums. Please read the comments of the officers and try to follow the advices given.
@Throul: Heya! No one is guaranteed a spot in the raid teams. The raid composition is decided by the raid leader at the start of the raid, based on who shows up at the time, the goal of the guild (do we want progression? do we go alt raid? do we go gear up? do we farm some specific items?), the level of gear\skill of the raiders, the specific needs for some buffs\debuffs, past attendance of the members being online at that moment, etc. In Darkened we try to be fair to everyone, but no one is ever guaranteed a raiding spot (not even the guild leader). With that in mind, I kindly ask you to apply in the Recruitment sub-menu of the darkened.wowstead.com site, and mention anything that is important to you before you are accepted. This way we will be able to tell you if your conditions will be met or not. Have a nice weekend! |

Hello boys and girls from our beloved server!
Wanted to give you all a small update: Darkened has cleared 5 out of 8 in DS on normal in 10 man. Looking forward to next week when we will push even more. We are very close to getting 25 man raids started again. But we need YOU to apply on darkened.wowstead.com and fill up those lost spots! Come have fun with us! As a side note, startign a week ago, Darkened has also opened it's gates to PvP oriented players. Runzwithfire is our officer in charge of organising BGs, RBGs, world PvP and all sorts of bloody sports for you PvP people out there! Take a look at his thread around the forums! Cheers! |
