Negative views on PVP gear in Heroics
|

I've been playing wow for just over a month now and there's still a lot that I don't know.
But one of the main things I've noticed in Heroic Dungeons is that the moment someone spawns at the start wearing the slightest piece of PVP gear they are verbally abused and told to leave the Dungeon. I Play a Balance Druid, I wear PVP gear because there's nothing out there that's got higher stats. I do around 13k DPS in my PVP gear. From what I can tell, the average DPS in a Zandalari Dungeon is around 12k to 18k DPS. So can anyone out there explain to me in a logical fashion. Why do people assume that if you wear a few parts of PVP gear, you're instantly called a noob. |

Exactly my point.
I hate how they try and suggest that 'Go quest and get some gear you noob' will result in better gear. False. |

Most people who joins in pvp gear for zandalari heroics does it to "cheat" the itemlevel requirement and usually does suck dps
Personally I don't like people who asks others to leave before giving them a chance to prove themselves, but the majority of people joining in pvp gear ends up being carried and doing 7k at best. If you are one of the few that are different, I'm sorry for you, but anyway shouldn't take long to get pve gear that's bettter than the pvp one. also the fact that you don't have any piece enchanted, could be another reason why they don't give you a chance. |
Most people who joins in pvp gear for zandalari heroics does it to "cheat" the itemlevel requirement and usually does suck dps hey there Spyna, long time no see :) But may i disagree with you ? many people do not use PvP gear to cheat, but because the PvP gear is best they can get hands to. And often even is better than the items they gain on dungeons and sole reason to do zandalary is to get either valors or few lonesome PvE items to 'cheat' to get into PUG raids. I have started to do arena to get gear for "cheating" in PvE because I am not quite raiding a lot these days. And I am 100% certain that there are many people, who took advantage of av week-ends and now instead buidl PvE gear having PvP gear 1st. 353 and 359 pve gear on many cases is wosre than 371/384/391 PvP gear. Question is on 2ndaey stats. i.e. on DK's case my PvP bracers are better than norml PvE bravers because PvP item has both more strength and best 2ndary stat. :) Rach spec/class is probably singular, but it's not as simple thing to measure, in my eyes. |

you may be right for melee, but I strongly doubt it for casters

I don't mind players in PvP gear. It's just when there's a TANK in PvP gear and they end up taking too much damage on weak mobs...

My hunter and shadow priest troll around in PvP gear and their dps sure is competitive with rest of party as anyone else. It's rarely about gear, but player. you know on era of heirlooms I made alt to spy on another national guild that competes i with mine, but is horde. So i have no heirlooms or fancy twink items and I still out dps most of other warriors or dpsrs I see there, even tanks (which on leveling is sight of its own considering tanks do most dps on lowbie instances). That same applies to PvP gear- It's not about the gear, but player behind keys. |

Just get a few pve pieces and reforge the pvp gear you have to pve stats. You cant reforge PvP items to make them useable outside of PvP. However... PvP items are a perfectly fine for Heroics. The only thing they are really lacking is hit. But hit isnt so important for heroics. |

Which you can reforge |

I don't do much pve but the odd time i've done heroics i've greeded on everything because nothing seems to have better stats.
Surely as long as you've got enough hit you should be ok. Aren't heroics meant for people who have blues that want to aquire purple stuff? |

My point was more about people in lvl 446 blue pvp gear, the ones that buy 3 ember!@#$ clothie items when hit 80 and think they are ok for anything cause itemlevel hits 346 :)
Obviously ruthless (and I guess also vicious) gear is enough for heroics, I was more thinking about the self made crap you can craft or buy to boost ilvl up |
