Luckily.....I already have 124 mounts. But if this is for real, they will be another 2 horses to add to my mount book collection, but that's really all to it. I wouldn't even look at them for a second time! =P

I do get the whole Gilneas/Worgen/Horse thing. But then at least give us a horse that looks different from all others that are already present in this game. (Like a cool, completly black, tough muscled, fanged, big stallion. And of course with a nice saddle!) Not this....almost 100% complete copy of human horses/ grizzly hill horses!

I think no one would mind these horses if they hadn't made a big announcement about them, like it's something awesome. It's not awesome, they're just plain horses, not even with armour or anything. They should have just silently added them, little line in the patchnotes, and everything would have been fine.

Nobody would have had a problem with this decision had they not been advertised as worgen mounts and were just being added to correct the faction imbalance.

Not sure why on earth blizzard would give worgens these old mounts, if it *had* to be horses, why not a new model, like a Shire horse? That would be more fitting with the old londoner theme at least.

There is going to be alot of rage about this, and I don't blame people, I was truly irritated when the awesome boars were left out of cataclysm, and the goblins sped off on those nifty trikes. This isn't placating those who were disappointed, this will just be seen as insulting, fobbing them off with old material which isn't new, exciting or original, and lets face it, you can go to stormwind, rep grind, and get pretty much these already.

I hope it's a place holder, and changes are incoming. I really do. I've seen the upsides of the content they've released before (such as troll heroics) when alot of people got mad about re-hashed content.
I don't however see why Blizzard, knowing full well how angry people were about "re-hashed content" would then just re-hash a mount literally. No real differences.
If people were mad about the worgen not having a "mount" in big enough numbers for them to put it in, why not take that complaint seriously and at least remodel a bit?

I don't care what the things look like, it is just another two towards the achievement.In any case horses seem a logical choice before the Gilneans got infected they were human so would have all the skills needed to ride a horse. Why would they leap on top of a pig, unless they wanted to make lunch carry itself around?

Yeah i agree about Gilneans had horses before they got infected but surely they could of designed something more creative, lol but why a pig?

Fully support this. I defend Blizzard and their decisions on almost everything, but THIS just... I just lack words to say how bad idea this is, if serious.

This. If you're advertising it as a feature, it suggests you really care about it. If these mounts are something that's really cared about, then no thanks.

Also, something as basic as this is what you use to correct a problem when it's happening. It's not what you use a year later when everyone's stopped caring, when you've had a whole year to think about it.

And to the idea that it's pulling our leg? This is to a race that has half of its lore given in the opposite faction's quest chain, and after that the amount of lore worgen has amounts to "hope Knaak's learned to write a decent novel". And as the Alliance levelling experience seems to have suffered more from cata's time constraints than the horde's, you'd think Blizzard would be slightly more careful when the gamer base involved's already slightly wary about the relative quality of their faction's stuff.

If you have to re-use old models, please use the carriage from the Worgen starting zone. Just run the texture through some photoshop filter to get epic version, and you're done. But PLEASE not this.

A lot of the stuff we've been getting lately is recycled pieces of crap, I don't even know why I still sub to this.

If carriages are out of the question because of difficulties with making horses that carry it part of the mount, just use even a simple mule, like the packmules already in game (see http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic.php?p=296282#p296282).

I doubt this is a joke. I personally have not seen many "Joke" annoucments from blizzard other then on April fools and even then the annoucment tends to be more playful and obvious then trolling which is what this would be.

it just takes too much "money" lol cause all that matters is money right? fuq the players, wow is dieing we need to squeeze as much money as possible out of it right now, and blizzard knows it

I prefer to give Blizzard some suspension of disbelief. I know that making a mount that consists of three creatures *might* prove problematic (but doable), so if they're not feeling like doing it, just do the mule, only replace the pack with a saddle.

Looking at the lighter horse its clearly the one the human quest mob used to ride around on outside greymane wall in the old silverpine forest

Yes Blizzard can design entire phasing areas, but a carriage goes too far.

People are alowed their own opinions and I doubt they will have their wow days numbered due to saying them.

True, but without insulting. I saw the insulting word (I won't mention that very word) but it was rightfully removed by one of the Community Managers. Actually I was defending Blizzard Entertainment. That WoW days would be numbered is a bit exaggerated, but I remember a Closed Beta tester who got a three day beta forum ban for insulting the Blizzard staff.

But I agree with the first thing you said, they should have a contest or somthing to design a Worgen mount. Would mabey get people besides the "I need 2 mounts for my achivment, I don't care what they look like" crowd actually excited about this news. Some people say they are looking forward to the bare horse look, but we have it in game already I am sure the community could think up somthing better.

About the mount, I hope they get some wolf or the like, but actually there is a lore reason to give the Worgen horses. The reason was that Worgen have once been humans (the currently existing Stormwind Humans still ride on horses) so therefore I am not really surprised that Worgen ride on horses as well.
