just merge the server with another one?

The problem with that would give the following, would it still be balanced. Also doubt Bliz will do that as it will look like "omg blizz is shutting down servers, they are doing bad" and people will emo about that AND it doesn't look good in the company's name either. Though it would be the best solution for lower populated realms as it is. I also think people might be more inclined to keep playing on those realms as there will be more action going on with the AH and PuGs.

Like I said, would the unbalance problem be worser than the low population problem? I think not. Look at for example EU-Stormscale and look at its progress charts. I think you wont find any Alliance guild in the top 20 realm. The place is flooded with Horde. I'm sure the Alliance are currently crying over there, but which ever faction is currently owning that place, the majority (Horde in this case) would probably have a good time because there's a lot of raiding competition, recruitment etc… going on. In our case (Haomarush) everyone is crying due to people shortage, which is probably a much larger amount (%wise) than the Alliance crying on Stormrage. While you can't make everyone happy, I think Blizzard should still try to make the majority happy. Haomarush in general :)

By the way, I'm not sure about the "it doesn't look good for the company's name" argument either. Everyone knows Blizzard is currently losing subscriptions. It's been all over the websites lately. I wonder if a couple of server merges would make a difference in that kind of drama. And even if it would, I wouldn't care anyway. But I'm not everyone of course ^^

Besides, if we look at the financial part, there is a good reason to merge servers. Why would you, as a company that want's to make profit, pay for let's say 10 low populated servers, if you can have 5 high populated servers for a cheaper price? This would mean they would have to invest less money into server maintenance etc..

And sorry Ayarea, I don't want to look like I'm picking on you or something hihi <3 I'm just trying to convince Blizzard hihih. (not that I think they are reading my crap, but nothing wrong with trying I guess^^)

Yeh server is basicly dead. Trade has been quiet for 10-15 mins just now. :S

I think some dead ppl have more life than this server . . .
U see allways same ppl on . . .
U like 15%
U hate 25%
30 % are in 1 hour per week
10% are on to go AH and get rich
10% are pro raiders and are only on for Firelands
and other 10% are lowies . ..

Yes I'd like to see more people on Haomarush as well. During those 5 years I'm active on Haomarush, I've never seen it this worse.

Recruiting for a guild is a pain on this server, unless your guild is somewhere situated in the top 5. It used to be better when Haomarush was still medium populated though... While I agree with Ayarea, the balance on this server is almost perfect. But in my opinion this doesn't compensate the side effects that the low population brings. However, a successfull guild (like Impetuous for example :p ) will notice a lot less of the recruiting problems. (No offense intended!)

Then there is the fact that there is almost no 25 man raiding progress on this server, compared to other servers where 25 man raiding is taking the lead. I admire that some guilds try to take a shot at 25 man raiding, but if we're being honest, most guilds don't even survive for a very long time as a 25 man raiding guild. I see more and more guilds dying or heading straight in to drama, and unfortunately this could have been avoided by a simple free character migration.

But then there is the question, who would migrate to Haomarush anyway? :p You open the AH and half the mats you need aren't available, or the prices are insane. You read trade chat and it's being spammed with guild recruitment messages (my apologies for that btw :p )

If any Blizzard employee would've read this, I hope my plea convinced you to propose a couple of solutions for Haomarush's sake.

This server has been small populated since mid TBC, when exiled, Jotun and some other guilds left and It probably will stay that way. Actually, I do hope it stay that way because I prefer this server any day over the ones with bigger population I´ve been on.

For anyone that want his mana pots 5g cheaper or are too lazy to farm some copper bars himself etc; I´d suggest you !@#$ off to some other, totally awesome supercool server with a cluster%^-* of people to farm for you.

Could be, and you are probably correct, I took a break in the middle of TBC as well. So I never saw the situation in the end of TBC. I remember Haomarush was full of life when Jotun, Anathema and Wipe were still alive though (during Vanilla - Horde side) I'm only saying that during my activity on this server, I've never it this worse.

You care to give some valid arguments for why a low population server is better than a higher populated one? I'll give you one instead: queue's. However, in that case we're looking at an extremely overpopulated server, which I doubt Haomarush will ever be. I'd be glad if Haomarush hits the medium-to-high population barrier instead. Which I unfortunately doubt as well... Balance? Scroll up for that one.

PS: I'm not sure what you exactly mean with that last paragraph though... All I can say is that everyone does with his gold what he wants, right? If he/she wants to buy mana potions instead of farming them, then so be it. No need to disrespect the buyers for that. If everyone would think in your way then there would be no use for having an AH at all. Besides, I really doubt you are independent of the AH, and I doubt you are not cursing when there's an overpriced-unfarmable stack for sale as well. If you don't, then good for you :)

Getting deader and deader each day, tought it woul atleast become a little better when summer was over. Guess not : /
