Alliance population

Why is the population so low and why are free transfer not available Horde -> Alliance
I have lost alot hope for the alliance and alot of decent friends because they've wanted to play Horde because there's more people there, Yes i can still add them on real id but i'd very rarely see them again. Despite the Horde side being filled with 'Younger aged' people (To put it in a 'nice' way) so many people still transfer from the Alliance to the Horde just because there are more people... |

Well, as you eloquently put, Zenedar gone doofed. Not much hope for it though, ever since the mass migration to horde side zenedar this server's pretty much been a train wreck with our rampaging opponents outgunning us on numbers and as a consiquence, skill. I'm staying with my guild and having fun, and when (or if) they introduce guild transfers we're out of here in a heartbeat. Elune-Adore |

because blizzard are !@#$ed up %^-*!, they don't clean up after the mess they made our server after the free migration, kinda sick of waiting for them to open a free migration to ally in our server,
atleast an announcement that there will be soon or something, but to be forced to pay some of my many chars out of here just cuz blizzard retardly @#$%ed our ally horde ratio is kinda annoying, |

I haven't seen any free transfer for a while and I don't think Blizzard will offer those again any time soon as they certainly realized that it was just transferring the problem from a server to another one.
Instead they implement things like a LFR tool. Also Zenedar is far from being the worse. I'm coming from a server where Allies were even in a worse situation (Al'akir to name it) and when I check wowprogress many servers seem to be one-sided. However It's quite depressing when I switch to back to my ally toons after I leveled a bit my horde rogue :/. |

same problem as shuggar.
got 4 chars here. I ve started playing in season 3 when zenedar alliance was ok-ish. since then it slowly died. It doesn't seem fair to me that i should pay 4x20 euros to the same @!*(#& that i am paying for 4 years to get a well balanced and supported game. imo i should get free transfer for all my characters for free for paying them without a break for this perioed of time. now some facts that i ve noticed: if you wanna start playing wow and you have no friends playing it they are recommending you to create a character on a !*%@@!@!@ realm so they can get more money from you when you realize that life its better on other realms/faction and you want to transfere there. who the *%*& will take a free migration to a dead realm/faction? game masters are useless. First problem: didnt get the right conquest points cap for the next week even though i ve played a rated bg but i ve lost it and i left if before it was over so my conquest point cap got bugged. when i talked to the gm he said he cant help me even though he was seeing that i was in that rbg. Secont problem : i crafted some items by mistake. gms couldnt do anything. look how well its the pvp balanced. TBC: 2x10 sec cd interupts on gcd with afaik all clases having some pushback protection trough talents,. CATA" 4x 10 sec cd interupts NOT on gcd mages beeing the only class that has pushback protection + like 10 more things that can stop you casting. the caster cleaves are dominating the 3s ladder but from 1.5 to ~2.4k rating its full of melee cleaves. now i am playing a lock @ 70 with some friends still on zenedar. probably a last attempt before -5x13 euros/month for blizzard. sorry about bad english cya |

Free guild transfer from horde to alliance could be a solution - Zenedar is far from the only realm with this problem. Puppeteers actually paid to transfer here 2 months before the Vek'nilash occupation because our former realm Al'akir suffered the same fate. At the time we migrated here horde was actually less populated than alliance... that didn't last long of course :(
I know for a fact that some guilds favor playing the outnumbered side. I for one would strongly consider a faction change to alliance if it were free and we could transfer the guild. 90% of our recruits are x-realm any way. The only problem is that Blizzard apparently doesn't care. Perhaps if they cared more they wouldn't lose so many subscribers... |

I scanned both AH's today.
alliance AH 10k items, horde AH 32k items My horde char makes 400-500g a day on the Horde side without doing any efforts, just selling white stuff and greens on AH My Alliance chars (6 lvl 85's) make no money at all from the AH, as there is no one to buy the crap |

AH is just a minor thing about the server population.
And if the population should increase it might ONLY be on the horde side as it is now. There is no appeal to play alliance other than social aspects if you know someone. That factor is also diminishing. Blizzard GM's tell us to make threads here to request some actions and request sticky. With numerous tries to get some reaction from blizzard there has yet to be even a touch of blue posting on this forum |

There also seems to be far to many servers for the actual game. The game peaked shortly after BC and ever since then people have just stopped playing. Even if they just forced transfers and closed some of the new servers. It might cause a few QQs but it could save the game. I remember just before and after the first expansion I had to que to get onto the server as it was overloaded. Since then they opened up numerous servers which only dispersed the numbers across more servers making fewer people on more servers.
I believe character transfer has only come back to bite them in the butt. Due to the fact that the game isn't buzzing as much and that there are less players, more players are leaving the game. I feel that if they closed some servers and made free horde to alliance transfers it could make a difference but that wouldn't make people want to join up and play together. Anyone can really be boosted through 25 man instances. Fair enough people argue that the mechanics of a 40 man raid were rubbish and the old pvp system sucked but it made it hardcore. You gave up your life to play, it made it a true grind. I believe that WoW is a grinding game and recently it has gone very soft. But! What is really to blame about this game is that all the content that will be released in the upcoming patches and games is all playable and readable before the patch comes out. There isn't anything magical about it. Considering this game is about being a hero and you are to fight through this world, what would be the point in a hero doing that if he knows what is ahead? A bit pointless I feel. A character transfer wouldn't really be enough. I know professional gamers might suffer as they will not be able to practise for world first or be ahead of the curve for arena and rated battle grounds but it wouldn't matter because everyone will be in the same boat. People will talk in trade and general about boss fights, how to grind the best materials and discuss pvp strategy's. The game is failing because the communication isn't there, the adventure has vanished and people are to busy sitting on there mountain of epics. I remember the release of Burning Crusade and not knowing were to go and loving every minute because it was and ADVENTURE. Maybe it was because I was still a noob or maybe it was because I hadn't seen much leaked content. Playing games is like going to see a film, you don't DL the film at home watch it then go to watch it in a crowded cinema. You watch a film because you see a trailer and read a review and it excites you. Wow doesn't do that much any more. Am I excited about the new game, yes. Will I read up all the content and ruin the game before it comes out? Probably. Will that make the game less enjoyable once its released, yes. Its pretty obvious what Blizzard need to do, but will they do it? Doubtful. |
