Hello AD!

So yes, it's been a long time coming but I've finally decided to relaunch the Home Guard, over the months the guild has been around I and my fellow guild members have learned valuable lessons about what works and what doesn't when it comes to a guild like this so it's time to put that into practice.

What are we about and what do we seek to offer?

*A realistically roleplayed guard force that mainly addresses kingdom and border security, heavy home based threats that regular law enforcement can't handle and military policing of soldiers on leave around Stormwind.
*A strict set of roleplaying rules that are enforced with a "firm but fair" attitude.
*Well organised and regular guild roleplay, including training, patrols, rotations, equipment maintainence, drilling and all the rest of it.
*A structured guild. with suitable ranks and requirements to attain them.
*Responsible and friendly leadership, we listen to our members.
*Story arcs that slowly unfold through events, furthering the concept.
*Community supporting and inclusive roleplay, we're there to get involved, not shut ourselves away!

What do we expect from those applying to us?

*A human! With a suitable backround and reason for applying.
*Amiable behaviour OOCly with guild members and other roleplayers.(You can be a right git ICly, but OOCly there's no need for it!)
*Adherance to the rules, they're there for everyones benefit!
*Dedication and honesty, if the concept really interests you you'll show it, if not please be honest and let us know, a guild like this depends on every member to keep going strong.
*Input, remember once you join this guild it's your guild to and your thoughts are valued.
*Patience!

We're taking on warriors and paladins for the guardsmen roles as they are able to use sword and shield which is a staple of the guard. We also take on hunters and rogues as scouts and marksmen in limited amounts, while priests can apply for medical roles, other classes can apply for civilian support roles such as armoursmith, boot polisher and anything else that fits!

We're also presently looking for a couple of dedicated officers who are attracted to a concept like this and would like to work on it with the current team! As naturally a concept such as this has alot of aspects all of which need looking after.

Which puts the current number of 'Stormwind Guard' guilds to what, three? I sure as heck pray, that you have some internal coordination going on, otherwise I predict a juristictional nightmare on the horizon!

We only dabbled in law enforcement of a less serious nature when the watch was reduced to a couple of members so the city wasn't entirely without law enforcement roleplay, but now the Cobble Corps is about that wont be neccesary so we can focus on the above!

Also I intend to keep in contact with Duryn (the Cobble Corps leader) and the watch should they make a comeback, so we can resolve any such misunderstanding promptly.

Just a heads up to anyone interested in the guild or its status, I had to take my dog of 10 years to be put down and so I'm taking a little time off wow for now, I may be on sporadically but for the moment I just need a little time to myself.

Sad to hear. I've never been able to take pet loss well, and it always makes me inwardly cringe when it happens to someone else. Hope they had a good life.

I'd like to thank Amarae and everyone else for the kind words of understanding.

As for the guild, we plan to have things moving forward again by atleast early next month.
