The realm has sort of labelled you as a bit of a clown, but personally i believe you to be one of the most respectable young warlocks on the server. Although you're only 13 you still manage to bring a sense of quality to your gameplay which others don't. Keep on pushing through and i hope your ban is over soon :(

We've had no problems amongst the leaders... I am the GM. We have 2 stable 10 man raiding teams going, and are progressing in 25 man. We currently have 4 officers who all do their bits. I have no idea where any of this has come from, but kindly button it. I don't slate other peoples guilds, and you shouldn't either. It's petty. Especially since this is such a low population server.

To clarify something Pantry.

I wasn't in any way slating or doing any kind suggestion of Parabola and how they are doing.

The only thing I said, was a reply to Intensifys topic concerning best guild on the server. Seeing that I have my ideas and thought about how Parabola used to be, and have had it issues among the leaders, which made it hard for them to finalize their first 25 people they had for a 25man raid. I can't see why you are taking this as an attack, unless me expressing my opinions and knowledge about the guild is a direct attack to the guild or the leaders in the guild.
The fact that you have tried twice to establish a 25man raid team, and lost several people while doing 10man isn't for me to judge why that has happened. But what I can say, is that the people leading, or the people who have something to say in the guild, doesn't agree (which is normal ofc.) but doesn't try to agree.

What I have heard, is that people (in the past) used to leave because of the raid leader being a tryhard leader, and not leading on the level the raiders are on, but leading on an level he personally thought were a "better way" of doing it. And that the people who had something to say (rank wise) didn't thought much about it, and didn't care enough to try and make a change for it to work out properly.


Now you can go read that in any way you want. But if you find it offensive or as an attack to either you, the guild or any person in the guild, then you are making a reason to defend something. "An attack is only an attack, the moment someone stands up against the attack, and starts defending, at that point, is it clear what is being attacked"

The best guild is the one with the best progress. Who gives a damn about it being friendly when it all comes down to which guild has the most players who knows how to bash the right buttons?

I have to say it seems that the Durotards on horde are the most advanced, and parabola are best on alliance. But for me theres only one answer: Phoenix Rise. we killed baleroc and shannox today and are trying for beth, rhyolith and alysrazor tomorrow. Laid back and friendly atmosphere, intensify im sure you can agree.

I might be a bit bias as im an officer.

So much hatred it hurts :). There is an old saying in my country : "if you got nothing good to say about someone or something then shut up". Whats the big deal who is the best and who downs what bosses, honestly be a bit mature about this. For me ofc i love my guild the most, im not saying its the best im not saying its the worst but it is the guild im more confortable with and since I am paying for my game and its my time spent in game and not yours i would say thats all that matters :). Just enjoy the game and leave the cr*p outside the login menu :)

Shrub, I must agree with everything you said. Parabola is probably one of the best guilds on Alliance. And Im not only saying that because one of my mates is in Parabola :) But like you said, Phoenix Rise is the only one for me atm. The way we got Rhyolith was a really great feeling! I really do believe we can get the rest soon!

Amilgaoul, you are so right! We need to stop trying to bring other people/guilds down. We all pay our game time and should all do what is fun for us.

I'm going to be honest here, I used to hate parabola with a passion, but have learned that my perceptions of them as a guild have been tainted by a few idiots I've had the misfortune to meet. I can name around a dozen incidents with players with this guild that have annoyed me more than most.

Recently these idiots either seem to be sorted out or left and I've been fortunate enough to really see what a good bunch of guys they have. The most recent is a chance meeting with hepta on an alt in one of our ds runs. What a top guy, so helpful and so nice and really knows what he's on about.

All I can say now is top guild both socially and progression wise - good luck and keep up the good work.

Some of the old Parabola members move to Infámous while others stayed. Happened due to reasons i cannot state, however, recently Infámous<old Parabola members> merged with BATTLE PVP and renamed it Parabéllum.

We have downed 7/8 bosses 25man normal and going to try Madness tonight!

Heya guys, as an old Officer of Parabola i thought it might be right to give some people some insight into what happened to the guild. So many questions and implications have been made into why so many of the guild decided to leave.

Every guild has disagreements and misunderstandings between players. Some of these may just be because of the amount of gold one person has, ones skill level, the class you play, and many other factors. I can honestly say Parabola was always just a bunch of cool lads and ladies, just having a laugh and getting progress at the same time.

I think because of our chilled out nature people perceived us to be either a ''bad guild'', or some people thought our ranks were tainted with cruel members. The fact is we are all actually very nice people, and most of the people that do not like us have most likely felt upset at something that wasn't intended to offend. Pantry... oh god Pantry <3 He was our Guild Master, and the biggest joker ever. I think he in particularly was taken the wrong way. Like him, all of us (especially me) loved to just mess about, but when it came to raiding: Serious Face activated.

After some really hard work from some of our phenomenal members, we managed to get together 4 regular raiding teams. Team AFK (First raid team created by Parabola which i was a part of), Team Smusk (A bunch of sexy little buggers who came to this server and rocked our socks<3), Team MarkFantastic (A team me and Amil created in order to give others who are not in a team a chance to raid during the days Team AFK didn't raid), and also a very casual raiding team which was never named yet (achieving 5/8 with some hard working players trying to learn to raid).

As you can tell, that's alot of teams to handle with alot of effort needed to be put into making things work. So on top of the stress of dealing with the teams alone, our officers were finding it very hard to dedicate their time to a raiding team while dealing with a plethora of people needing guidence in one way or another. Be it with raiding, pvp, socially, or anything that we needed to do to maintain one of the most active guilds on server.

A couple of nights before the guild split, me and another officer decided we didn't want to play wow anymore. After then realising we did want to play wow, we both decided to go different directions. Personally i've cut down on wow time like i wanted. Pantry and Rawrior have decided to go to another server as have other members to try and have some new experiences with new faces and places. Amil has now (with the help of ex-parabola members and others) set up a 25 man raid team in a new guild, which has had a fantastic start.

In the end Parabola just couldn't go on with all the built up stress, things to do. All of our members, officers, socials, raiders, brothers, sisters, wives, and so on are all still great friends with one another. Personally i have half the bloody lot on my Real ID ;)

Yes - we are not all in the same guild. Yes - people have said some really wierd reasons in regards to why we split (something about a pet chicken?). Yes - we had a few heated moments prior to the 'split'. But we are allways Parabolians, and will all be great internet BUDDYS! *snort*

Thanks to Stormwind City Guard, Asperity, Intruders, Haters made us Famous and more for taking on some of our members when they felt they had no where to go. Even i have been bouncing around helping people here and there when needed, while i'm not wanting to raid - thanks to you all!

And for some who have wondered where Parabola is, well the name of the guild is now Haters made us Famous. Smusk was given the guild by Pantry, as he was the only Officer willing to persist in making the guild great still. He has done a fantastic job, and although some do not like him for what he has done, the fact is most of you have never even had a chat with him and his team. They are all AMAZING people and Smusk made the decision to move the guild into a progressive direction, and thus far they are the best guild on the server (progressively).

Parabola will allways be in my soppy litte heart, and hope all the previous members can still be great mates like most of us are atm. So theres a kind of long drawn out drunken explenation from me and was probably not the best time to write one after a drink or two... or three:) (it's 3 am and the log in is down, so ill post this 2moro - when u see it posted i wrote it last night XD)

Used To Be Is one of the best guilds on magthirdon It has great player there with brain and skillz also they are all friends and nice people they are top 3 even though they were only raiding for like a month or less and they gained top 3 + 5/8 hc so i wouldn't be surprised if they reach madness of deathwings heroic by next month :) any way hope that helped :)!
