Blizz wake up and do something we need help out there in Vek!!!

Been reading this thread and though i'd share my views on this.
As a fresh player on this realm, transferring in from a high-populated realm with queue, I was convinced by friends to come and play on vek'nilash. I was told the realm has decent population, nice progress and a friendly community.
So far only the latter seems to be true, where on my old realm you would find pugs to the latest raid content on a daily basis, it's hard to find any raid towards the new content in the first few months it seems. Even after that it gets rare.
I've turned my attention back to guild raiding and i've come to see how hard it is for guilds to recruit decent players. On the other hand there just doesn't seem to be that many raiding guilds after all.
Despite the fact vek has a nice & friendly community, the lack of players and progress makes it seem that people here spend more and more time rolling alts because of the fact there is so little population.
All in all, i haven't regretted transferring towards Vek'nilash because i've gotten the chance to meet some great people allready but I do miss the fact that there is so little going on besides your own guild business.

We've been told several times that they are indeed aware of server statuses.
There's no reason for the blue posters to spend time on posting on every single "We lack players!" - thread.

They're already acting atm.
Giving free FCM to three very low populated realms from a highly populated realm.

If Vek appears in the same situation as those 3 realms; we'll get a FCM too, obviously.

Best way is merge realms like us , maybe that can be hard at developer side like same names , same guild names etc but it seems necassary for us.I have 5 chars here and i cant pay to move other realms.

Maybe they can response any plans of FCM so we can decide what we do , quiting, moving 1 char to other realm or staying here etc.

Just did a check on wowprogress.com seems since your post Pavanda , Vek has lost more people again , its dropped to 99 guilds yet the character number has increased . Im guessing that the reason for this is the people that cant afford to transfer from Vek are just trying to stay interested by levelling even more alts . I agree a FCT would do Vek'nilash a world of good it does need quite a large influx of players .

Yet alas i agree with Milkalicious on the fact of the cost of character transfer is far outweighing the need to change vek to a FCT realm .

Lets hope that Blizzard do something about this before its too late and the remaining people on Vek'nilash just get fed up and quit or leave for a while .

Dont think he was necro'ing just reaffirming the problem of Vek's low population.

Would you have liked him to make a new thread for this topic? Better to use this one to show that 6 months on and nothing has changed.

The main reason vek is losing people is due the behaviour from the other people who think they own the place and think it's shame when you don't have 280% flying, in addition the economie of the realm als works it in the hand, due the fact the stuff is too expensive people will back off and feel like they got to farm gold to be efficient.

A few things that will keep influecing the destruction of Vek'nilash. The childish behaviour is also another filler. Being respectless for others results in feeling left out and gives people the need to "flee". I once also played on Vek'nilash, but than I found Silvermoon, the people on it are kinder, less rude and the economie of the server is lovely.

@up And how long ago you left Vek? How up-to-date are you? :) Funny that you mention Silvermoon. Had a char there. Never again. Should I say whole server is bad then? No, I'm sure you have plenty of great people there. So do we here.

I like Vek. Sure, we do have some people, that just don't know how to behave among others. That doesn't change the fact Vek also has A LOT of people that are just plain cool, in every aspect. The reason you think bad of the server if you just pop up on it for few minutes, is cause you see the same names on trade going monkey mode. Majority of players just doesn't bother with them. Put them on ignore and move on. Blizz gave you this feature for the reason.

I'm sorry, but to value whole server just because of few rotten apples is plain injustice. Specially if there are just few rotten apples.

As i said, I like Vek. And I respect a lot of people there cause they deserve it. Simple.

I've found that when looking for a guild in this realm, is quite hard, you either get guilds that already have a fixed team for raiding or is a guild with 200+ randomly added people and no one knows each other, All I want is a guild that I can play with and then when I get to the required level I can then start raiding with them

I totally sympathise with you here mate. Before Cata this realm was not too bad for progressing in this way, not so good these days.

The reason I think is the death of 25man raids. 10mans now give the same ilvl gear with a lot less hassle and so you lose 15 raid spots per guild.

Was quite rare to see any chars who completed 25m 12/12H by end of WoTLK (not 100% but I think only Elitism reached end game) and there for in the best gear. So many have reached end game early in this expansion and have lost their motivation.

This is not a dig at any Vek guild or people just at Blizz for !@#$ing up what was a really cool realm.

I'm glad you understand where I am coming from, it has almost come to the point where I would like to transfer out the realm already, I've been online for a couple hours today, and all I get all day long is invites to guilds, they all have a stupid amount of players, and 50% of the roaster list is players between levels 1-15. If I knew that there was a guild in a different realm that was small enough to just get to know everyone in it, I would transfer across. I'm not looking for a raiding team just yet, just a good bunch of people to play with :)

We can offer u a social spot mate.contact me in game or anyother officer.

but offtopic: yeah there are spamguilds, though if you dont want those dont go to a filled server and stay here where it's nice and calm.

This realm does need some help indeed. I myself transfered away due to the lack of players. Although I have a lot of good memories thanks to my awesome guild Royal Aces, this does not make up for the empty desert this realm is becoming.

Its a shame, i've just come back and everyones gone :( I miss old friends!

As an ex ''Vek'' , I feel your pain.

Ethos started back in TBC and at that time the realm was awesome ! Some top end guilds, friendly players, excellent recruitment etc etc

Then Blizz decided to change it from pvp > pve (that lost a lot of players)
THEN decided to flag it for new players (many more established guilds left)
.. and the downhill spiral continued.

The sad thing is .. that having tried different realms since that time - the 'old Vek' cannot be beaten. They killed a great realm :(

From an Ethos point of view - we tried Outlands (login queues / elitist players / terrible recruitment surprisingly) ... and left
Now at Aggrammar - which reminds me somewhat of how Vek USED to be .. and 25 man raiding continues :)

But we still hold the guild name on Vek .. and believe me when I say if the realm ever returned to the ''glory days'' we would be back in shot !

Blizz !! Sort it out !!! Vek'nilash and it's players deserve more !

Cos it was dead. Seriously - there were times when there was only 1 Alliance player online. That wasn't healthy.

For all the complaints, its better than it was. Alliance side anyway.
