Topic The Second Gurubashi Empire is recruiting!
The sunset spilled its crimson colours over the ocean, beginning to withdraw its light from the trees, the heat still clinging to the foliage in dewy drops. The last touches of sunset still lingered on Zul’Gurubs towering walls.
From within, there was an addition to the jungle songs as the sound of drums thundered through the Vale, laced by the echo of roaring cries.
Inside the walls of the Empire, electric excitement filled the air. The drums resounded from the central temple where the trolls had gathered around the alter. Fires roared, bathing the trolls in its added warmth and the scents of incense that floated on the breeze were intoxicating.
The Empress stood atop the alter. She was adorned in her ritual robes, any visible skin being painted with symbols of the Loa. Beads, trophies and trinkets were entwined within her dreads, many being attached to the cloth she wore. Shrunken heads gazed blindly out at the world from her belt, their features forever frozen in fear –their lips sewn, trapping their last screams.
She turned her gaze toward the sky; the stars were beginning to break through the dimming light. It was time. Both Dambalah and his mate, Ezili, watched over the Empire now as the sun and the moonlight shone together for the few brief moments before darkness.
It had been two full moon cycles since she had ascended, she was already losing track of time so easily due to rarely sleeping. Almost immediately, the Great Serpent had made his demands clear, his voice having been silent for so long.
Now, more than ever, it was imperative that the trolls be taught their heritage, that they know of the blood in their veins. The blood that was on the threat of extinction, even more so now that the Zandalari had lost their way.
The rumbling of the drums brought her back from her thoughts and she lowered her gaze. The alter fires cast flickering shadows over her crowning mask as she turns, eyeing each troll that had gathered.
They were cackling, dancing, chanting... The Empress took in the vision of her devoted. All of them from so many backgrounds: Gurubashi, Drakkari, Shatterspear, Darkspear... So many had found the Empire in times of grief and loss, but they now stood before her in celebration. Instead of allowing themselves to be devoured by their torments, they had harnessed them and devoted themselves to the greater cause! Each of them had come together, despite their different tribes, uniting under the name of Dambalah. The Loa had indeed blessed them greatly.
Grinning viciously behind her mask she gestured forward, pointing a claw toward some bone constructed cages. It was time to add to her trophies that lined her belt!
The trolls snarled as a human was brought forth in ties. Even in the face of its death it still shouted, praying to the light. The surrounding trolls mocked the creature and cackled. To them it was nothing more than talking cattle. They gathered eagerly around the alter as the human was forced to its knees before the Empress, who grabbed a fistful of the males hair – yanking his head back so its throat was exposed. The trolls jeered and cackled as they watched on.
The Empress raised her hand, calling for silence. The crowd obeyed immediately, the drums dying off as all eyes stayed fixed upon the Empress and her prey.
“For far too long, silence has reigned within this Empire!”
Her voice carried to all those who were listening, her grin evident in her snarled tone.
“The lesser plague has grown arrogant at our absence! They move through our sacred lands with little to no fear... No longer! “
“It is time that this infestation is removed from our world! Dambalah has let his voice be heard, now... It is time to let his wrath be felt!”
Ziata’Ima turned her black, cold gaze down to the human she held. He closed his eyes and whispered prayers in anticipation.
With a sickening choke, the humans throat was ripped from him by her claws, spilling blood over the alter. With a roar, the Empress yanked the limp body so that it hung from her raised hand like a bloodied rag doll.
“Let their blood flow in rivers! Blood! Fire! Death!”
With a roar from the crowd, the echo was heard from throughout the vale:
“BLOOD! FIRE! DEATH!”

Who are we?
ICly, The Second Gurubashi Empire is a guild which is based on roleplaying a vicious Troll Empire. Having learned from the ways of the past and being rid of the chains of Hakkar, they have joined together under the Great Creator, Dambalah. The Trolls seek to claim back that which Dambalah gifted them in the beginning, the world!
Having claimed Zul’Gurub in their sacred Stranglethorn Vale, they now defend it against all those who try to enter. The Trolls seek to create a strong foundation for the future, a Troll dominated Azeroth.
OOCly, the guild was founded on day one of the servers launch and is one of the largest single race guilds on the server and the largest Troll guild in Europe! (And perhaps the world!) . We are a friendly community who enjoy immersive RP as well as PVP and PVE.
What do we offer?
Well! We aim to provide all aspects of the game. Naturally, most of our events are Rp based. Either rituals, celebrations or teachings honouring the Loa or hunts to purge our sacred lands. Currently we are travelling around the world, learning of all the tribes to allow the trolls to remember their roots. We have a very intricate religious system set up within the Empire, as well as opportunities for warriors and fighters to prove their skills and move forward.
We have got a strong PVE base up and running now. We aid with guild heroics and we now run usually run a raid once a week. With MoP now out, we shall be gearing up asap and begining our raids again!
We also make events on PVP, whether it’s WPVP on a large or small scale we aim to provide this at least once a month. We also run battlegrounds to help everyone get at least the full honour set. Once this is done, we will be running Rated BGs on Sundays.
First of all, we only accept Trolls. You can try to apply with another race but believe me... it won’t end well! (Unless you enjoy being sacrificed...)
Many are unsure on the Empires stance with the Zandalari. The answer is we believe that they have lost their way, turned blind to the faith of the Loa since they are foolish enough to try to harness Hakkars powers. We currently roleplay as being at war with the Zandalari, treating them as heretics. We defend Zul’Gurub from their attacks, the Empire isn’t about to give up the cleansed city without a battle!
We’ve had many questions about classes and the stories behind them. Explanations on our acceptation of DKs, warlocks and druids can be found within the classes section of the Tomes, here:
How do I apply?
You can apply through our website, here:
Please make sure to have a look at “Tomes of the Empire” as there is much valuable information here that could aid with the creation of your character.
If you wish to find us ICly, when we are not travelling we can be found in Stranglethorn Vale, within the walls of Zul’Gurub. (Again, other races come at your own peril!).
There is no level restriction for applying to the guild but we do ask that you have a basic understanding of how Rp works. If you do not, you’re welcome to come and watch us at one of our events or perhaps drop in for random roleplay!
If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask our current members or seek out our officers for more information.
Current officers: Ziataima, Eluzia, Volek and Vradu
Dambalah calls to you! Blood! Fire! Death!
And don't forget, we've got some of the cuddliest/fiercest members around.
(Also, I heard a rumour that our Empress can control Deathwing, so, you know... just saying. Apply today to either get your achievement or stay safe from the flames!)

I love troll rp and wish you all the very best. Minor point/question tho, don't you run the riskof God-modding when rping a demiGod or how does the guild react with trolls who don't wish to kowtow behind the hierarchy?
Edit: Clarification, trolls that don't accept the leadership or the role of an Empress over them?
Like many tribes, the Empire has their leader.
The trolls follow the leader as they think that the leader is doing what is best for them, in this case they are taught that the current Empress is the one who Dambalah has chosen to speak his words.
Zia solves the problem of those who challenge her words Icly by branding them doubters of the Loa. Though she does listen to concerns if there are some (if her patience stretches, given that she's Drakkari xD)
Naturally, not all trolls are fanatical. However upon joining, trolls are offered power, knowledge, strength, saftey as well as other things. They just might find that given the state of the world currently, following one who claims to be picked by the Loa might not be so bad! Where as many trolls are naturally bloodthirsty and vengeful, many of them seek scantuary after suffering grief and the Empire offers hope for the future.
- Don't worry, I don't godmote and those who have interacted with me know this ^^
To address the worries states above we can add this; just because the trolls claim their Empress to be the chosen one and stronger than anything else it doesn't mean it's true. Gurubashi trolls are not stronger than everyone else even if we may claim so, and much like other fanatics some of our members might get a bit touchy (in character) if you openly oppose their belief. On the other hand I know a fair number of members who accepts the views of others, and even like to discuss the matter in a civilised manner. Others might just mark you off as blind/silly/peace loving/a wannabe orc and leave you be, much depending on how you approach them.
OOCly we all love you for just being a troll, and we're happy to find roleplayers even if their characters doesn't fit in with the guild concept. A snarling Gurubashi often equals a smiling roleplayer!
We have many interesting RP events coming up. So if you want to join an flourishing RP guild and develop your troll character in new and interesting ways, join now!
We are currently residing in Eastern Plaguelands where we are visiting the Mossflayer Tribe to learn of the Loa that are strongly connected to their lands.
