The whole scene seemed to have taken an unforeseen turn of events when Zenera had showed up, and before Sharon had managed to get a clear view of the situation, all of the ladies, and the boy, even the owl, was looking at his way for his say-so about what to do with the new girl.

''Uhh... ''

''Wrong moment.''

It was not the fact that the High Elf was not used to decisions.

The most troubling fact at hands was perhaps that the High Elf was still slightly intoxicated and drunk after Liaena's previous and nearly successful attempt at viscerally murdering his kidney with excessive amounts of alcohol that the High Elf felt like he was out of the scenes.

''So, you surrender?'' Sharon looked down at Zenera from atop of his mount, trying to gather himself as his confused and unfocused mind quickly tried to regain control of his thoughts, his brain right now looking more alike to a warehouse struck by an earthquake, with nothing but a lone, underpaid goblin to clean up the ensuing mess...

- Obviously, that was not going well.

''Hm-hrm!'' Sharon coughed into his hand, his eyes passing over to Rithrynn on the other mount, as well as the little girl inbetween her arms, before returning to Zenera, the High Elf giving the girl a thoughtful stare.

''She seems rather familiar... ''

''You say you are a member of the syndicate? What would be the difference?'' Sharon now asked, his eyes growing slightly more clear as he studied the warlock.
''If you stay, my kinsmen will kill you, so is true, but if you escape, assuming you even survive, you will only be faced with public humiliation at the gallow on some marketplace in a random town. What would be the difference, if I may ask?''

It was indeed a good question.

For no matter if Zenera escaped Quel'Thalas, she was still a criminal.

Not just a criminal. She was a syndicate! Sharon knew that the only future that awaited a member of such a notorious organization was a cold and dark life in a cell, where the only salvation was the merciless embrace of the noose around your neck.

Also, what problems wouldn't it cause him if he, fully aware, cooperated with and aided such a notorious fugitive?

''I already miss the love triangle... at least it was easier than this, and the danger at least less obvious, so you could at least stay in a happy state of bliss.''

she thought to herself "Doent she understand that i dont handle with 'demonic overlords' I dont have them. Im a minor leader in the syndicate not the burning legion"

Sherpa, I didnt actually say i was. She thought that to herself))))

Zenera was hardstruck to have to ask for aid from the woman who not long ago she wanted dead and before that Rithrynn wanted her dead. It was annoying and degrading to ask her for help, improved in respectability by the fact that the high elf now asked her questions.

The High elf seemingly also a little confused "So your surrender?"

Zenera lifted her shoulders and arms while she looked to the ground and said "That is why i am here I only wish to survive to return the Ruins of my families kingdom so that i might try and make it better by desposing its idiot leader.I want alterac alive and he will not help."

The High elf mentioned more of the syndicate and zenera responded "I'm useful to them and any smart enough in the alliance who is aware of me knows that killing me would only make it harder to route out more of my allies. I speak of the Alliance's SI:7"

In any case i am more likely to survive while in human lands" And that was all true, She was useful to both alliance and Syndicate, she was more likely to taken in human lands and she just wanted to survive.

She paused for a moment and then said "So, im my surrender you may do with me what you, so long as i have my life. I am for that and only that. So, Master Elf, I beg you. take me with you so that i might survive another day"

“So let me get this straight...you want to surrender? To her?” Patrick rolled his eyes as he jerked a thumb over his shoulder at Rithrynn. “Yeah, good luck with that”

“I could reach her....” Liaena growled quietly. Rage and hate were powerful tonics for the little girl. Her back had straightened and she was as tense as a compressed spring as she glowered at the Warlock from Rithrynn's arms. “If I go for her eyes, she won't be able to aim her spells. She'll never see it coming...”

She could do it too. Rithrynn's arm was around her...but only in the hugging, comforting sense and it was laughable to imagine she'd restrain anyone launching an attack on Zenera. The pain and anger that had previously been directed at Rithrynn had been quelled, but had not yet seeped away and she was all too willing to lash it out at the destroyer of the blood-elf town.

Yet...Sharon was talking to her diplomatically right now, and she cringed inwardly at the idea of his disappointed look of disapproval. He was, after all, such a wonderful person. So good. So thoughtful. (so handsome). So forgiving, even after what creatures like Sherpa had done to him. Even now, despite everything, despite how obviously Evil Evil Evil this...person was, he was prepared to stop and talk to her, seeing good in everyone.

“When did I stop thinking like that...?”

The night sky was bitterly cold; freezing fingers plucked at the girls torn and bruised bare skin and she pulled Sharon's cloak closer around her with a shiver. Rithrynn's warm arms were a great comfort and she sighed and slumped into the Night-Elfs embrace. “I'm so tired, Rithy”

The Night elf and human on the hawkstrider, a chicken really by most standards something that Zenera could bet wouldnt outrun a tired horse, seemed really tired which worked in her favour a lesser resistance might result her joining the group and this survival more likely.
The Human spoke of the pointlessness of surrendering to rithrynn and zenera met it with a humble saying "i was told a line by my adoptive parents....when you surrender you dont surrenderto a person or ideals, you surrender to a group..... thats probably more accurate"

She needed to remain humble and submissive if she were to live through just this encounter. It wasnt something comfortable for her to do but she had trained herself in doing so, in many ways of speaking in fact. How to hide ignorance behind a veil of Intelligence. A SUbmission behind dmoninance and Anger behind happiness.

However since was no moment to hide these things, she was forced to bear it as genuine behaviour.

She turned her hung head towards the high elf that said of the syndicate and said "I cannot pay you, I cannot offer men or soldiers, i cannot offer anything tangible other than my service"
Zenera could see anything, No loosening of a grip, no twitching in his eyes or shifts of body to indicate that he would accept so she walked a little closer, bent on one knee to him and begged to let her join. She plead to him "I beg you, please. I dont want my life to have ended here.please... i beg you, sir" she pleaded to sharon

''One chance... '' Sharon murmued under his breath, the High Elf appearantly lost in thoughts for a second as he studied Zenera, before raising his voice again, indicating that he had come to a decision.

''I will give you one small chance, but I cannot offer you any more, for the sake of the safety of the group, and as well because of what you are.'' Sharon said, altough the High Elf had a nagging feeling he shouldn't be doing this in the first place.

She was a Warlock, a practitioneer of the most foul arts of magic known to the mortal races. The ruinous powers of the Twisting Nether was a mockery and a joke to everything Sharon stood for as a Mage.
He had been taught so many times to refrain from the foul arts in any way they appeared, be it in objects, ways or even people. He had taught so many students to do the same as he as their tutor.

He even had put his faith in the light, the very enemy of the unholy, blasphemeous powers.

To even think he would be cooperating with a Warlock was against everything he stood for.

But to leave someone behind was just as bad.

Turning his gaze to Zenera, the High Elf eyed the Warlock intently, his tone more sharp and determined now, rather than hesitant as it had been before.

''But once we are in safe lands, cultist, I will deliver you to the first priest we meet. You will find redemption or you will find absolution. Anything else than that and I would stain my very own honor.''

Saying that made the High Elf feel better. At least he wouldn't just let the Warlock go, perhaps he could even have created something good in the world. At least as long as he stayed true to his word, neither the light nor his colleages could frown upon him for what he had done.

''Oh, and one more thing.... boy!'' Sharon motioned for Selim to give him the oversized backpack, but Sharon instead waved it over at Zenera.
''Find yourself a hawkstrider and carry this. The boy is weary from his travels, and my group needs to sustain their energy. It's the least you can do to help us.''

Zenera had no choice in this matter, which she knew quite well. A pack-mule would be a sad one to become but she had a single chance and she wasnt about to break it. She had to prove to them that she could be trusted and it was silly to have to break and Zenera wasnt stupid or silly.

She scanned around for the hawkstriders that the other rode upon, Not to far away there was a single, armour clad hawkstrider. She took the pack assigned to her and strung it on her back, odd not that heavy, but to Zenera at first it wasnt a suprise. The weight would start to drag down on her

She took the slightly long walk to the hawkstrider and the bird flustered to anger but she stroked the birds flustering head and lightly pressed down onto the things neck lightly. The bird had no helmet so the feather were stroked as well.

It wasnt her lead, then again she did have experience in leadership

The Bird calmed and started following zeneras hand as she strong her head. Zenera moved to the side and climbed on to the hawkstriders sadle and motioned the bird forward to the group. Zenera loosened the straps to lie weight partly on the bird and she arrived.
She almost murmured to the High elf "Okay, whenever your ready"

''To a priest, so that means they'll burn her?''

Rithrynn couldn't say for sure after she had heard Sharon's promise, mainly due to her small knowledge of human culture. But the Night Elf had heard stories about humans used to burn those accused of 'heresy' against their own little Light.

The thought of having Zenera burned on a stake might just be more fun to behold than just having Sharon burn the woman to a crisp with a flick of his fingers with some fancy spell.

Not to mention, if Zenera had to haul Selim's oversized backpack all the way to the pyre, it might just be worth it!

''Heee-heee, sweet revenge, bi-ai-tsh!''

“I'm so tired, Rithy”

The group was beginning to head out, leaving the frozen garden's of the heavily damaged villa behind as they headed towards the main gate, Sharon riding infront.

The Night Elf gently used her free arm holding Liaena to grab the side of her short cloak, which was still quite big for Liaena, to pull it under her arm and tug it nicely around the little girl sitting inbetween her as they rode down along the frozen road.

''We just need to get some shelter, then we'll rest.'' Rithrynn smiled at the little girl in her arms, gently patting her. She was almost like a cute baby where she lay, resting against her chest.

A short silence passed, before Rithrynn looked down at the human again, this time curiousity gleamed in her eyes amidst a rather odd expression.

''What were you doing in that villa anyway? You smell funny.''

Zenera ,strode upon the back of the hawkstrider, followed the group closely behnd the high elf, suspecting that its best to keep away from the Night elf and humans, he was certainly a proud high elf, yet humble in someway,it was probably worth being friendly to him.

She might need to show him, despite all the anger led actions she had done and despite she and him use very differing trades, that her intentions are not corrupt people from what ever path they that she simply to survive and to do justice to her people.

Perhaps, Honesty , as the old over-used line taught to many people goes, is the best policy. She would need to circumvent all her training that screamed to her never allow personal issues become intertwinned with people you dont trust.

As they moved forward, zenera looked back to see Rithrynn craderling Liaena. That was interesting to Zenera. Did they hate each, really? she wondered in her mind with her thoughts.

She pushed the hawkstrider to move beside sharon and ask him "What is your name, sir?"

Branos clutched as his head. A piece of rubble had knocked him down. He got, up, tp see that Zenara had gone. He picked up his maces, and started to walk through the snow...
He started to hum..then sing...
"You can hear the girls declare, I must be a million-heir! I'm the Dwarf who robbed the bank at Silvermoon city!" He called, to the world in general. He was delusional, tired...he hadn't eaten, but then again, he had not hurt anyone...He swung his mace at the occasional tree.
"Have at ye!" He yelled. Then fell on his face. This continued for some time.
He eventually stumbled across figures on hawkstriders...or something...
"Ah! Miss Emilia...or summat! We meet again! Your friends here brought the dinner? Chicken! Bloomin' huge one!" He stumbled about, and looked at the girls.
"You two loony girls. aye? Mus' be!" He swung a punch at the air, and fell over again. Blood was streaming from his head, where there was a small cut, wide enough to bleed to shallow enough to heal...
"Bunch of elves and hu- hum- big gnomes!" He chuckled...And then finally, fell flat on his face.

“Nnh..hm?” Liaena woke up from the light doze she had already fallen into with a jump, squinting around at Rithrynn in suprise. “oh...villa?”

“Uhm...the blood elves took us there. They took us to another camp first, to one of their leaders. He was there, plus another elf that knew Sharon and some girl. She...didn't like me much for some reason” Liaena raised her eyebrows wryly, grimacing as her hand crept to the bandage on her chin. “At least, I kinda got that impression off her”

Resting her head on Rithrynn's arm, Liaena bit her lip thoughtfully as she tried to recall. “I think...they were going to take us to Silvermoon but Sharon's friend stepped in and had us taken to his house instead. I don't...really remember to be honest, it's all pretty fuzzy. There was a room with a doctor in it and I think someone might have been chasing me. And I lost my satchel somewhere. For some reason”

The reminder of that last thought seemed to reinvigorate the girl. Straightening up her hand caught hold of Rithrynn's arm, squeezing quite hard. “Oh, Rithrynn, I do need to brew some more. Tonight. You'll help me, won't you? There's probably herbs in this land somewhere....” she glanced around, as if expecting the aforementioned regents to be waving from the side of the road before returning her attention to the elf. “And I'll need a fire. Do you think we can find a cooking pot...?”

-CRASH-

“..........................”

Liaena stared with eyes as big as gobstoppers as Branos made his big appearance, in the only way a crazed, possibly drunk dwarf can. Stumbling, twirling and singing about...something (?) as she leaned over to whisper to Rithrynn. “Uh....is he with you?”

-fwump-

Disentangling herself from the warm nest of Rithrynn's cloak and arms, Liaena hesitated a moment before she leaned right over to poke the head of the dwarf collapsed right beside the hawkstrider. “...Are you okay, sir? Need some he--”

“Bunch of elves and hum-bum-big gnomes!”

twitch

With a yelp of surprise, Branos felt himself yanked upwards to dangle, from the back of his cloak, just millimetres from the cherub features of a menacing, slit-eyed, utterly evil looking Liaena who was eyeing him rather like another would eye a nicely done joint on the spit. “excuse me? I didn't quite catch that, could you say it again? Could you?”

“Liaena!”

“....”
“....”

Abruptly Liaena dropped Branos, who thudded back onto the ground from about the level of the Hawkstrider to give the exasperated Sharon a contrite look.....and the amused Rithrynn a tart one. “What? I just said I was tired. Doesn't mean I'm entirely KOed... ”

Branos got up from the floor, and rubbed his head...
"Sorry, madam? How did I get here?" He looked at the looks at his faces of the assembled people. "Last thing I remember is a horribly large piece of rubble..." Branos looked at the party apologetically.
"I wasn't singing anything bawdy, was I? Or was it just the one about Silvermoon? Trust me, that once happened, and that's how I said fair well to a rather lovely girl..." Branos rubbed his head. "I am really rather sorry..."
He then looked about himself.
"Hawkstriders? Oh, by the Earthen, I haven't been recaptured, have I?" Branos said, looking sheepish, then noticed his maces in the snow.
"Or I have just stumbled into being captured..." He said slowly... "Look, who are you? What are you doing, and how far north of the Thandol Span are we?" Branos said. Then looked at his cloak...
"Why is my cloak ripped?" He asked, suspiciously. "And say what again?" He though for a a moment.
He glared at Liaena. "And don't think I find ye scary fer a secound..." His accent changed slightly, to become more gruff... "Yer got another thing coming!"

''Dear light, what kind of gathering has Renovan been holding lately?''

Sharon was quite surprised to see the dwarf, just after Zenera had showed up, stumbling around as if he was even drunker than Sharon himself.

''Dwarf, if you want to live, join us.'' Sharon decided not to question the dwarf further, and simply motioned towards Zenera and the giant chicken she was sitting on, hinting the dwarf to join her ride.

For a moment there was as if Sharon felt more like an Inn assistant, directing people left and right, except this time it was their lives on the counting, not just beer and beds, and the occasional unmentionable.

Sharon had also noticed how he had glared at Liaena, and it was perhaps for his own good that he was put as far away from the two ladies. Merely having Rithrynn and Liaena fighting each other was bad enough.

It was even worse when they teamed up against someone else, two destructive forces joining strenth to become the perfect storm.

''So hurry up, unless you,-'' Sharon barely managed to finish his last word before an enraged scream was heard throughout the dark night air, hanging across the garden.

The High Elf turned around towards what the thought was the direction the scream had come from, only to see a giant, burning ball of molten fury rise up into the air a little further away, to descend down... towards them.

''Dear light, she's back... ''

*FWHOOM*

The fury comet smashed down into a patch of the snow covered grassy plains nothing short of a few meter away from them, exploding into a screaming pillar of fire that expanded outwards, sucking out all the oxygen from the air around it as the raging fires consumed everything it came in contact with, leaving a large, smoldering black patch of fire wreathed dirt and scorned rock statues behind.

''So dwarf, unless you can take the heat, I suggest you exit the garden!'' Sharon shouted out to Branos as he pulled in the reins of his startled hawkstrider, turning the giant chicken around as he began to ride towards the main gate, motioning for Rithrynn to follow after him.

Over the wall in the distance, strange dancing lights could be seen among the trees on the other side of the wall, before two new balls of fire now took up into the sky, before diving down into an arc down towards their position...

Rithrynn's brief amusement at Liaena and the dwarf's tiny squabble was soon to be cut short as a comet suddenly rained from the sky down towards the snow, splashing walls of magma sending flickers of burning oils flying around across the garden, and the Night Elf let out a frightened yalp.

''Where did you find her?!'' Rithrynn shireked out to Liaena, quickly grabbing the little girl and pressing her against her chest to keep her from falling off as she rammed her heels straight into the sides of the turkey strider, causing it to shriek, flap it wings in a mad dash attempting to fly and spun after Sharon whom was had already gotten a headstart.

''Elune, why do Liaena always attract the worst kind of attention!?''

The Sentinel watched helplessly as fire continued to rain from the sky, splashing down into the garden and outside the surrounding walls in impressive displays of light and fire that danced around, the snow being vaporized as soon as it it.

It looked pretty...

*FHROOM*

One of the burning chunks suddenly landed a mere feet from Liaena and Rithrynn's hawkstrider, the burning ball exploding into a hail of fire and molten rock that flew around, and Rithrynn could feel a wave of heat engulf them as the burning dirt and sparks rained around them, fresh ash falling off her clothes, and the Hawkstrider panicked.

''Dear Elune, this isn't good! Run! RUN!''

Rithrynn didn't have to repeat herself, for the Hawkstrider, frightened out of its own feathers, was already sprinting like mad after the close call, it's rapid steps causing Rithrynn and Liaena to bump rapidly up and down on its back as the hawkstrider swooped forward along the road, even dashing past Sharon and Selim whom were both almost thrown off their own hawkstrider in a mad flurry of snow and ice that was thrown up into the air by a hurricane left behind by Rithrynn's crazed hawkstrider.

''No, no! Not so fast, not so fast! Eeeeeek!''

The Giant catapult's bombs flew over the walls, the fires in the distance still unsettled, and crashed into the mansions solid ground, spraying the muddy floor with fiery mud which burned the skin but no one was left touched by the burning mud or burnt by the flying debris.

Zenera had swung the dwarf from the ground to the hawkstrider, the bird heaving and screeching slightly to this foreign weight. They were combined to a massive weight on the bird but he pulled through like a good mount.

The Pull down caused the metal armour to clank and clank it did when it came back up

Zenera thought to herself "damn it, this dwarf has to re-appear now" She turned to dwarf that is just behind her now and whispered "Look dwarf, lets have a moment of honesty ok, I'll tell you my actual name and you tell me your real name....cos right now these people are a hair breath from killing me and the blood elves want me dead, so im gonna be taking my chances with trying to escape from this land. So, are we agreed?"

The others had already started moving so it was best that they did, Zenera pulled reins and began the hawkstrider tallied forward, following the group.

Branos grinned.
"Fair's fair, I shall tell ye...Branos Stormpike, Thane of Dun Modr, Formerly Thane under the Sky..." Branos then pulled out a seal from his cloak, the shield of the Fallen Thane.
"You may not know me by name, but this may be more easy to recognise..." He then smiled. "I serve the Three Hammers...sadly, also captured by these Elves..." He then looked at the others.
"Them? Kill you? I'd like to see that! They look like they only know how to fight each other!" He chuckled. "Now, your side of the bargain, Human, what is your name?" His armour clanged as the Hawkstrider moved. He began to ask himself various questions. One of the main things was: Why on earth is it that in the space of two hours I am suddenly esca[ing explosions... He looked back at it.
His inner self laughed at this, as everyone knows heroes do not look at explosions...

A High Elf and two girls? Who are they? What are they doing here? Why is this girl threatened by them?
Hard to tell, I do not know...
Use logic?
What on earth is logical about this whole nasty event?
They seem to be going on the warpath with the Blood Elves...

"But unto what end?" Branos said aloud.

Zenera, considering she wasnt one to break a deal because after all she does have some scruples, needed to tell him the truth whether he believed her or not, so she did. She turned slighty and made a momentary eye contact with the dwarf.

The eyes were quite like those death knights that he belonged to, the death knights she encountered quite alot while working within the beaurocracy of the Stormwind Keep. They were all could to the touch, they seemed older than they were.
She had once encountered a human death knight, she was when she was killed the freshest adult you could but her age if she were alive , would be 30. She had lost much of her youth on her, which death can do to a human.

His eyes had a small smidged of life that seem only supported by his pride of his work and his intnetions.

She began speaking "My name is Zenera Emillie Staldove. I am an assassin for the syndicate, I am highly regard for how i can go in and out and leave not even the disturbance of dust and am used on occassion as a trainer with the Argus wake. you wont have heard of me, thats part of my job"

she paused for a moment ensuring that they followed the group. Zenera then continued "And if you think that they can only fight themselves then be around for a day with them, you'll realise that thats wrong"

"Syndicate?" Branos seemed suprised. "Your king was the silly bugger who allied with the Horde to save his own skin? I am against the fact your kingdom may suffer. I would have just executed the king, regicide or no.." He nodded. "But, of course, the Syndicate are outlaws, and. of course, my Family have been used to replace your kingdom...what was once Human is now controlled by the Dwarves for tactical purposes...a Stronghold in the North...as you have heard, the Alliance have lost ground, and, of course, the Front Line is Arathi, not Hillsbarad, so therefore, the Dwarves have much to say to this, as if Refuge Point falls, the Thandol Span is all that comes between the Horde and Dun Morough..." Branos said, quietly. "Are your friends half-mad?" Branos chuckled. "They seem to find that they can fight each other for the fun of it!" He laughed.

Brano picked up the orders.
"This is the order?" Branos said.
The messenger nodded. "We need more intel on Horde possitions...@
"Hmm..." Of course, that was code for something else. Dragonmaw could be watching.
"Blood Elven territory, I shouldn't think there will be too much difficulty..."
"Are ye mad?" Branos' eyes darted up to the messengers. "They can kill a dwarf at a moments notice. They may not be tough, but they're quick and wily..." Branos growled.
"Proceed, sir...enough belly-aching" The messenger said, quietly. Branos glared at him, and mounted his ram...the rest of the Unit did the same.

The Syndicate, like any organisation know to humanity, wasnt perfect and for the syndicate History was something they needed to learn from. it was true that her old king was a fool and his son is no better but her old king was not wholly unjustified. His kingdom was small, his military was small and he was sat in mountainous region where reinforcements were hard.

If he didnt surrender, then his kingdom would die and his civilians slaughtered by a blood hungry horse.

She voiced this opposition "The King might have been a traitor to the Lordearon Alliance but He would have been dead i he ddnt, his citizens would have been dead and his kingdom destroyed.
His son is a fool for not trying to repair the relationship with the Alliance or at Least Ravenholdt.
And if i were in charge or had someone who agrees with me, we be trying to repair relations with either of them."

He made his comment about the group again "Well, i think that is there fun. Although i think the Night elf and the human woman are something a little deeper"

"Your old King was a traitor...greedy and self-centred..." Branos said plainly. "If he had pulled out of the Kingdom to allow more forces in Lordaeron, rather than let the Horde destroy the other Kingdoms as a price for his own, I would show respect. That would have been a tactical retreat and would have meant Lordaeron would have been stronger for it..." Branos sighed. " And had the Syndicate simply abandoned their king and came to the Alliance, that would have raised them in out eyes. The fact it, they fought against us for administering justice as we saw it, and didn't just leave it be.
"The world now frowns upon the organization." Branos shook his head. "And we are talking about the Old Horde, not the Honourable people we fight today, and are proud to call our adversaries, but a savage, cruel and barbaric one..." Branos features then softened. "They got any ale? Lager? I am as thirsty as a Fish that has been layed down next to the Firelord!" Branos smiled. "Enough of idiot kings and lost kingdoms, I don't half-trust the Human or the Elf..." Then he looked at Zen, an eyebrow raised. "and what do you mean, deeper? And who is the High Elf. if you don't mind me asking?" He smiled.
