This is why dps has epic dungeon queues

Do I need to go on? Seriously, respect your tank and healer and BE AWARE of the fact they need rage/rp/mana before going into the next fight. Better yet, go to your character select screen, make a tank or healer and find out for yourself how annoying it is when you constantly keep doing the things mentioned above. |

Seriously. Think before you write. None of above stated is reason why dps have long ques. It is simply because there is much more dps then tanks.
Now go elswhere with your ranting. |
Then let me take the liberty of filling in the gaps for you, and add to the list: being so damn terrible at your spec you extend the dungeon duration to ridiculous levels. Because of all these little annoyances (admitadly its not just dps) many people who play tanks either just play with friends/guilds or (like me) just queue as a dps. |

On the contraire my dear Watson, these things annoy more and more tanks these days to a point they don't queue for randoms anymore. Ergo: longer dps queues. Or "much more dps then tanks duuuhhhh" if you understand that reasoning better. On my dk and paladin I don't even tank randoms anymore. I just do BH and FL and get my vp's there. I tank on this druid to get fast queues, but I might stop if this continues. Not that you care, but I do. |
|
Have you ver come to your mind that you might actualy be slow and bad geared and that the word hurry is appropriate to the situation? Or omg that heretical thought that you tanks are not so special snowflakes?
You know being so bad in your spec that you extend dungeon forever goes both way. Not just for dps. But you are the special snowflakes after all so you can go rant on forums about other being bad. Am I right? |
|
Inb4 the latest batch of arrogant ego-maniac tanks get flamed off the dps forums for acting like they're gods gift to LFD.
News flash, dps queues aren't that long. I've had instant 85 normal heroic/zanda queues on numerous occasions, and the only reason I don't tank is because I like to play shaman (I heal as shaman but dungeons take ages without myself dpsing due to the general skill and gear level in lfd) |

You are the reason tanks leave LFD for what it is. And I'm not talking about gear, experience or what have you. Attitude is the keyword here. |
I was a tank for 5 years, and the reason DPS now do those things to tanks, is because we cant understand how unbelievably slow and bad you are. The new generation of tanks dont actually know what tanking is, you faceroll probably the hardest out of the entire group, but want to feel special for it. |

Although I'm sure there are bad tanks (I healed one with 10 pvp items this morning in a Zul) as well as bad dps and bad healers, that's not how I roll. I'm just writing down the things I encounter at the moment while leveling my druid tank. Everything I write here is based on experience and facts, whereas what you are writing about me is just a (bad) guess.
Deep down in your heart you know I am right and you've seen people do exactly this in dungeons, but you won't admit to it because god forbid there is a tank making comments about dps. I dps too and I love it, I hate slow tanks, but I never tell them to hurry or ninjapull mobs. If your tank doesn't hurry up or waits on cd's or healers to get mana on HC Ragnaros do you pull him too because "the tank is not going at the pace I want to"? Grow up and learn that the world doesn't revolve around you. |

You mean the thread I made about respecting your tank and healer?
Anyhoo, I've said enough. Just want to make certain people aware of the role that healers and tanks play in their daily VP/rep/xp grinding. It works the other way around as well obviously, so I suppose this thread is really about respecting each others and just put that bit of effort in proper gearing, learning tactics, etc. so everyone can have smooth runs in dungeons in this case. |

Funny to see how every single reply to this thread just proves my point. If you can't see how, your IQ is probably too low.

Your article had no valid point. Except that you met some bad dps in que. Everybody can make threat like this: Why are all tanks so stupid and mess my dungeons hur hur when:
1) start tanking with paper gear or with half pvp and half dps pve gear 2) when they do not know how to proper pull or keep aggro 3) how they bash healer for letting them die when they pull 3 groups and use no CC at all even when asked for it 4) when they go 15 minutes offline because they are tanks and everybody has to wait for them because their dog has to go out make a poo 5) shouting for everybody for being noob because high and mighty tank did not like something I kicked enoguh of these heroes during my travels. It is always better to wait another 15 minutes then deal with idiots. Being tank does not make you special or exception to anything and certainly it does not give you insight why dps have "epic dungeon ques" Your reasoning is totaly invalid and you actualy ignore all real problems that cause that. |
I seriously doubt your IQ is that high as you have proven how dumb you truly are with making this thread. |
|
|
But I like to do those things :(

I dare you to make a tank, tank dungeons regularly from say level 15 untill level 40, come back here and then say I'm wrong. I most certainly agree that there are baddies in every role, but the number of bad tanks I've healed is very low, the bad healers I've had is even lower, but the things I've written down happen E V E R Y S I N G L E day. You're probably mad because you feel I'm attacking you just because you're a "dumb dps", but that's not what I'm doing. This thread is for people who do those things, not for people who know what they're doing and have a brain.
The impatience and lack of common sense in dungeons is appaling, especially since this expansion. |
|
Haha as paladin I tanked 1-52 dungeons one handed and blindfold without actualy any heirlooms and I had absolutely no problems.
And yes your are actualy attacking dps with no good reason. For every 2 bad dps there is one bad tank and one bad healer. Your problem being bear is that bears are weaker on lower levels then other tanks and that makes you slow and squishy from the begining. You are talking about common sense and patience but you are showing none of these just now. It is hypocritical. And more. You are saying that dps being bad is reason for long ques which has no logical connection but it is simple lie so you can deal with your frustration. |
