Latest info:
A lista de reinos elegíveis para transferência para Aggra (PvE) é:http://eu.battle.net/wow/pt/blog/3389806/Mover_Personagens_para_o_Novo_Reino_Portugu%C3%AAs_Europeu-06_12_2011#blog - What type of realm will it be?
Most ppl are against this. - Where will this realm be located physically? It will be Blackout group so it will be Paris - What Battlegroup will this server be integrated? As in also, will we still have to talk in english in dungeon finder and alike, since we are getting only 1server?
- Which servers will be available for free transfers? We still haven’t given the list of servers that will be able to transfer - Can it be open to all realms for all Portuguese ppl instead? Many didn't had a clue that there were servers mainly Portuguese when they started. Blue Reply in the Brazil site: O sistema de transferência é feito de acordo de reino X para reino Y. Este processo não é feito levando em consideração a nacionalidade ou IP. http://eu.battle.net/wow/pt/forum/topic/3056546199#6 - Will there be a free Guild Transfer to the new server aswell? Most likely yes, Blue says he has no info, but if I'm right like I was in Realm First Achievements Guild transfers will be available also. Just make sure your guild meets the pre-requirements for it http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/blog/3162540/New_Guild_Services_Now_Available_-_Updated_-09_11_2011#blog - How Realm First achievements will work on this server?
- Will we be able to play in this server not needing to change language pack?
- If Server gets full right away, will more servers be added? And when?

Reasons behind translating names

Thank you very much for the effort to put this information together, Ordhor. I can only suppose that you are portuguese and, like us, you are going to move there aswell.
Anyway, I'd like to give special atention to this sentence: "Devido a imprevisibilidade do processo de migração, saiba que existe a possiblidade que os reinos sejam fechados para migrações gratuitas adicionais a qualquer momento e sem aviso prévio caso o reino de destino fique cheio ou nossas metas populacionais sejam alcançadas." So, to everyone who I've heard/talked to that said: "I'm going to wait to see if the server gets populated, and then I'll transfer", you better hurry. Don't wait for others or you'll probably be left out. On another important subject, I'd like to suggest that a decent discussion forum for the portuguese community is created (either on these forums or anywhere else), so we can all get together and set our opinions straight. |
|
|
You'll be getting your own realm forum just like all the other realms. |
|
|
As you can see, this char is not on a mainly Portuguese server, so I probably wont even be given a chance to transfer. Maybe in a 2nd round of transfers, but just like many portuguese i know in this realm, we prefer a european community, but would still transfer some of my alts, mainly the scattered ones in different servers besides this one That is just like any other Free Transfer. But ofc this one is abit different since many will be interested to transfer there |
|
Holstein, I'm not asking for a realm forum, I'm suggesting the community to create "a" forum (as in- place of discussion") to discuss this issue. So, that would imply that a realm forum was created BEFORE there was a realm. Not likely to happen.
BTW, Nocturnos will be recruiting for our late-night raidtime, 01h-04h AM, on this new realm. |

Blizzard work in mysterious ways. Blizzard have been known to open the realm forums before the servers are open. There's still time for them to do it yet. I haven't seen a new realm name anyways. |
|
|
I could put something up for that but I'm not seeing many ppl that would use it, being unnoficial and all, and even if ppl would use it hopefully we will get a official place soon. |
|
|
- Wowhead will be getting a PtBr language pack also :o
We actually have a version up on our dev box, so soon! =) http://www.wowhead.com/forums&topic=196122 |

I vote to call the new server pt: Ventobravo lolol *epic*
|
|
Ventobravo is terrible, not only it is the name of one faction capital (and the other faction would feel victim of a bias), but it also sounds bad. Maybe it can be named after some lore character, so it doesn't need to be translated. Thou right now I couldn't care less about it's name.

I didn't added it since I thought It wouldn't matter much for us, but the names of the brazilian servers are Goldrinn (PVE) and Nemesis (PVP) In that line of thought I guess our server will be named by one of the other Ancient Defenders. So something like: Aviana / Aessina / Tortolla
Same here. Getting more official info on the server itself would be nice. We had them saying about server in europe and in brazil at the same time, tho nothing more for us while for brazil is almost daily, having their own site and all now... |
|
|
i vote for Tooga (the npc of the tanaris desert excourt quest), since tooga ~ tuga ...
could be fun :P |
|
As far as I remember the Russian player had free migrations from all realms, with no issues at all.. and same for the spanish community..
For the portuguese player-base that isn't in the same time zone as most of the rest; not having to pay for the transfer would be awesome, since most of those who would transfer there would more easily fit in the guilds there, because of their professional schedule. At least this factor will be the most decisive for me. Since most of the European guilds raid from 19h-23h (server time) 18h-22h (Portugal). |

Ok everyone, this is going to be a big post here :p
I have some information for you all that should clear up most of your questions;
We will be opening a Portuguese realm on the Blackout battlegroup, that will be named Aggra and will be a PvE realm. It will be open for migration and character creation on December 7. More details about this will be communicated to you at a later point.
We have no information to share on this topic at the moment, but will have more details communicated to you in the coming days.
You do not need to use the Portuguese language pack to be able to play on this new realm. You will only need a European active World of Warcraft licence.
Right now, only one PvE Portuguese realm is planned to be open. Should we decide to open additional realms (PvP or PvE) we will let you know.
The European site should be launched in the coming days and we will give you more information on this as soon as possible.
The Portuguese realm will be situated in one of our existing European data centres, and our operations team is always working with the major internet providers in order to ensure the best game experience possible. Not to worry if some of the questions have not been answered JUST yet, we are still working on getting some more information about this for you and hope that you are pleased with the answers thus far :) |
