Guild History:

Acta Non Verba was founded by a core group of players who have played alongside each other since the early Vanilla days. Forgotten Circle and Scion of Darkness were Vanilla guilds and predecessors for ANV. We had great fun while defeating Molten Core, Black Wing Lair, Onyxia, AQ (apart from C’thun) and the first and very hard bosses in Naxxramas (at that time).

In The Burning Crusade we decided to try to step up things into a more hard-core style and formed ANV. We managed to defeat Karazahn, Gruul, Magtheridon, Serpent Shrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, Mount Hyjal and Black Temple at a nice progression pace. By the time Sunwell Plateau released, years had gone and many of us felt the pressure from RL such as new jobs, girlfriends, studies, babies and what not. It was decided to take a break and go for less online time.

In WOTLK we started out as a 10 man raiding guild but realized that was not our liking. We then decided revive ANV for 25 man raiding and got back into that in rapid paste. We killed all normal content before the highest buff was out and managed 9/12 bosses on heroic mode. Although we didn’t keep the same progression pace in WOTLK as we did in TBC we are now ready to take the guild back to new heights in Cataclysm.



Raiding:

ANV is currently a 10 man raiding guild. We currently run on a tight roster of about 14 people raiding 10 mans 5 times a week with raid invites starting 20:00 and first pull at 20:15. Raid goes on until 23:00; latest 23:30 if close to a boss kill. Applicants must be aware that sit out is often needed as we need to bring the best synergy to every progression raids. On farm bosses we will rotate more to be able to build everyone up to the desired level in terms of practice on bosses, raid awareness and such.
Acta Non Verba's raid days are now Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

The rest of the week will be focused on raid preparation, acquiring the best gear available outside raids, guild achievements, tuning gear, getting a viable off-spec set ready etc.
Our goal is to beat content at a high pace, and we can offer a great environment to raid with.

What we expect from our members:

- Always show prepared for the raid in terms of flasks, potions, enchants, gems, professions.

- Know your class and spec inside out. Keep yourself updated with class changes through patches and be able to understand what needs to be done by simulating or executing your rotation on a training dummy or using a spread sheet

- Have a viable off spec since you may be asked to use it in order to obtain optimal raid synergy. If you do not have a viable off spec, we may ask you to work on that.

- We have no age limit, but needless to say, don't bother applying if you can't act like a proper asset of Acta Non Verba in and outside raids.

- We will not tolerate if a person wearing the Acta Non Verba guild tag takes part in trolling, harassing people or other things that can damage the Acta Non Verba name both in and outside of raids.

- Have the best gear you can get for your class and spec at all times. This means to have put in a good effort to get the best badge gear available. Dedication and passion will take you a long way and will help us greatly during raids.

- Situational raid awareness. Understand and react upon your situational awareness to be able to execute the tactics, and your role, to defeat the boss instead of silly deaths/wipes. This point is crucial and is for us what makes or breaks a trial.

- Players with great dps but bad raid awareness are not wanted. You should pull out great dps but you are no good dead. Being dead mid-fight, doesn’t just drop your dps, it lets down the whole rest of the raid trying to do their job to perfection. If you can do great high dps but don't bother about survivability, raid environments, learning from previous mistakes, and such, do not bother applying. You will be wasting your own and our time trying to find a new asset to the guild.
