So the ret is this case wasnt hitcapped and missed his real target ;-)
Anyway , after more testing its pretty clear they overnerfed us by a large margin .
They really need to revisit this one . Seems like 1 less ret in the panda expansion .

Each attempt I did a pretty consistent 27k DPS and damage from tentacles accounted for 3-4% of that each time (pretty poor compared to other classes, I know it's random but this was over 5 or 6 fairly long static fights)

I did some LFR's today and I looked at the damage from tentacles from various classes.
I didn't see a Fury Warrior, but Frost DK2H, Unholy, and Arms all had 3-4% dmg done from tentacles

Excluding the 2H frost (Who plays that anyway???) then either those chars were insanely well geared, or they had bad RNG, or you looked at overall data which can be skewed by people not knowing where to stand to make it proc properly on Ultraxion and MoDW.

My arms warrior is getting 6%-15% from gurt and my pala about half that but granted the warrior is not as well geared as the pala so the real difference isn't that large.

The bottom line is that there certainly is a very noticeable difference in procrate between the 2 specs which is shown by the sim figures/parses as well.

Anyway I'm not too worried about the SoT bug fix/nerf in itself, but I think the statement that Ret was doing too much damage when the spec had 2 parses in Ultraxion top 100 (the best being something like #86) at the time is a slap in the face (appropriate cliche in this case).
We were basically told that ret isn't allowed to be in the upper half of DPS specs and that is unacceptable.

A death knight with Gurthalak.

Perhaps your Warrior's Mastery is making is proc better. I know that the Unholy Dk Mastery becomes better then Crit with Gurthalak .

Crit has never been any good to death knights though.

Has anyone ever thought that Blizz just don't like Pala's? I made mines back when they were arguably the best dps for that time, then people started complaining and they just got worse and worse thats why I made a DK, and personally when I get Gurthalak on my DK well....= WIN!

Isn't there an internal cd on this thing? Seems retarded that there wouldn't be one.

indeed ... am seeing on average about 13% of total is coming from tentincles ... had three up last night, was very woo !!!

dear fellow dps's with 2handers i can confirm the 390 item lvl from lfr is even better then hc fl and raggy hc it's bis over 397weaps bis before hc ds and normal ds version of the weap iff ya are a fury dps ..but seen how much better the numbers are it will be bis for dk and pala to.

don't mind the secondary stats i thought it was crap to at first but when i did reserach its even better, the tentacle does big dps for you proc's verry often, no need for those secondary stats.

Got 1% of my damage on zonozz hc yesterday done by tentacle sword, would much rather take the 410 axe over the tentacles on a fight like Spine where you can't rely on the procs.. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS FABLED >10%!

They fixed pet scaling with our stats now so crit became higher than mastery
