About Us
Slash GQuit is a PVE focused 10 player raiding guild who were formed in 2008 by a few friends back on Alliance. We are a friendly guild who communicate in english, so we expect that all guild / raid and vent chat is kept to the english language unless you speak to a guild member privately via whisper or private channels. Our vent can sometimes be abit mad, and you can expect abit of strong language though its all taken with a pinch of salt. Not all of our members prefer to speak on vent but the most part do, though we do expect everyone to have it installed and be able to use it when raiding to hear instructions for boss encounters or general tactics. The social aspect of our the guild is extremely strong, and all members treat each other in ways that people would expected to be treated, we all have a good laugh with friendly banter, being able to take something on the chin is a huge plus as sometimes we can get very colourful. Raiding Our raiding started at the end of WOTLK, during the brief period we had before cataclysm was released we managed to defeat 9/12 HC ICC, with Halion included. Since Cataclysm we have been focused on killing end bosses in a fairly quick fashion, our kills of the current expansion are: Dragon Soul: 8/8 Normal - 7/8 Heroic Fireland's 7/7 Normal - 6/7 Heroic Bastion Of Twilight: 4/4 Normal - 1/5 Heroic Throne Of The Four Wind's: 2/2 Normal Blackwing Decent: 6/6 Normal - 5/6 Heroic [Glory Of The Fireland's Raider] We are a casual raiding guild who likes to go at our own pace, raiding 3 nights a week, with the possibility of an extra raid added onto the schedule when new content is upon us. Raid invites start at 7.50pm to begin pulling at 8.00pm allowing 10 minutes to freshen up, grab a smoke and a drink if you have been invited, and the raid is generally expected to end at 12.00am, raid breaks are given when our flask duration is about to run short, usually 2 or 3 in the duration of the raid. The times above are server times. Our raid days are: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. We have a great deal of fun and laughs in our raids, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty, full focus is expected in order to achieve what we have set out for. Applying We expect our applicants to attend at least 2 out of the 3 raids we have per week, raid spots are available to people who make the effort and bring focus into the raids when it is most needed. We have 3 ranks within our guild that defines your position, the first of them being the trial rank which lets you show us what you can do, the 2nd being a member which shows that you have made the effort and fit into our guild well, with the last being a raider, the raider rank is given to people who regulary attend raids and continualy prove themselves to be a valuable member of our guild, upon gaining raider, the guild bank will help out with your repairs! We expect all applicants to put alot of effort into their application not to just answer with yes or no. If you take the time and effort into making a decent application we will take the time and effort into reading it, the more information you give us, the more chance you have on being accepted.
