Hi guys (and girls)!
If you are new to WoW (or even if you are not) - here is some nice information on how WoW subscriptions work, and how you can pay them! There are three ways to pay at this time: WARNING: Subscriptions via debit/credit cards and Direct Debit AUTO RENEW every month unless CANCELLED by YOU unless you are clearly told otherwise at time of setting up the subscription (such as with UK Maestro cards). How to set up an Automatic Subscription This method of payment is done with a debit/credit card, iDeal or direct debit. The methods available vary in each country, so you should check which ones you can use. To set up one of these subscriptions, simply head to https://eu.battle.net/account , and once there, log in with your account details. If you have an authenticator, you will require it for this step. I have included a screenshot below. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub1.png Next, you need to select the WoW account you wish to subscribe with. If you only have one, this is simple - just select the one which has "Europe (EU)" underneath, and ignore any that say "Public Test Realm (PTR)". If you have more than one, you will need to ensure you select the correct one - which is something you have to do yourself ^^ I have included a screenshot below. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub2.png On the next screen, you should select the option labelled "Buy Game Time/Subscription". I have included a screenshot of an inactive account below, with the option highlighted. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub3.png This next screen is where you get to choose which method of payment you wish to use. For this method, ignore the Pre-paid Game Card option as that is covered elsewhere. The methods of payment available to you will vary depending on where you live. Select the preferred method to continue. I have shown an example below. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub4.png Finally, you will have to choose a subscription plan. You can choose from a 1 month, 3 month or 6 month plan. The costs are clearly shown in the relevant currency (which can vary depending on your country. WARNING: Subscriptions via debit/credit cards and Direct Debit AUTO RENEW every month unless CANCELLED by YOU unless you are clearly told otherwise at time of setting up the subscription (such as with UK Maestro cards). And there you go, sit back, relax and start playing! How to cancel an Automatic Subscription. To cancel an existing automatic subscription, simply head to https://eu.battle.net/account , and once there, log in with your account details. If you have an authenticator, you will require it for this step. I have included a screenshot below. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub1.png Next, you need to select the WoW account you wish to cancel. If you only have one, this is simple - just select the one which has "Europe (EU)" underneath, and ignore any that say "Public Test Realm (PTR)". I have included a screenshot of an inactive account below, with the option highlighted. WARNING!: If you have signed up to the Annual Pass, you will be UNABLE to cancel until it has expired as you have agreed to subscribe for the duration of the Annual Pass. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub5.png |

How to add a Virtual or Physical Game Card
First off, you will need either Physical Game Card (from a retail store), or if you prefer you can purchase a Virtual Game Card from the Blizzard store at http://eu.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=210000110 Once you have a Game Card, simply head to https://eu.battle.net/account , and once there, log in with your account details. If you have an authenticator, you will require it for this step. I have included a screenshot below. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub1.png Next, you need to select the WoW account you wish to add the Game Time to. If you only have one, this is simple - just select the one which has "Europe (EU)" underneath, and ignore any that say "Public Test Realm (PTR)". If you have more than one, you will need to ensure you select the correct one - which is something you have to do yourself ^^ I have included a screenshot below. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub2.png On the next screen, you should select the option labelled "Add Game Time Card". I have included a screenshot of an inactive account below, with the option highlighted. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub6.png This next screen is where you enter the code from the Game Card. Nice and simple! Once you have entered it, read the legal text at the bottom and if you agree, click "I Agree". http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11330606/wowsub7.png Once you have done this you will see a confirmation screen. And there you go, sit back, relax and start playing! Remember to add another Game Card, or subscription before it expires, or you will be stopped from playing until you do. You will receive a countdown in game from 30 minutes before your Game Card expires to remind you. |

Yes and you can buy 90 days in the blizzard store on page 16 very last option for warcraft :) You can buy 30,90,180 days there and it has no subscription you just have to input a code where you would a pre-paid game card i think :) |

Correct. It acts just like a game card. @Elakiri and Pisica - You are welcome! Glad it helped :) |

This question might just be a stupid one, but im gonna try.
If i cancel the subscription, can i still purchase a irl game-card or sign up for a new subscription later on? To continue to play later on? |
This question might just be a stupid one, but im gonna try. If you cancel the sub, you can play until your paid time expires, and then your account will be frozen. But yes, you can then choose to use a sub, or a physical game card. In fact you can add a game card at any time, even during a sub, and it will simply be used instead of billing your card :) |
