The Forgotten Shadow is something of which has always gone unheard of. When heard of, often referred to as nothing but a mere cult, a rabble of zealots, who hide in the shadows worshipping nothing but shadows. Mad men.

Lately, a group of Forsaken have emerged, under the name of the "Shadow's Reach", an arm of influence which will gather more to its cause, and even more disturbing is that it has managed to amass a militant force, along with its various Acolytes and Preachers. It is learned that one named Roilane leads them, and something seems to push them forward, as it seems that they have begun to gather in the town of Brill. It is thought that she has taken control of the cult within Undercity, which now goes under this name of Shadow's Reach.

It was recently that Executor Roilane Seril had succumbed to Madness induced by Orcs and Trolls, who dissaproved of her command decisions elsewhere. Now, it is Executor Kalyna Steelfist who has taken command, known for her undertaking of several small scale swift strike operations, followed by effective demonstrations of defence for days on end

As some will undoubtedly know, we have recently transferred from the Sha'tar Alliance side and are looking to set up here with a new, better guild concept!

The goal of the Shadow’s Reach is simple. The word of the Forgotten Shadow is common amongst the Forsaken, but weak amongst those outside. The word must be spread, throughout the Horde, and Alliance. Whilst there must always be a balance between the Light, and the Shadow, we must retain the power of the Shadow.
We may use force to reach our goals, and we may use words. Anything is suited toward this goal. We stand in accordance with the Forsaken, but we seek to educate them, and do not stand as theirs alone to command. We are an individual body, seeking to bring others to the Shadow. The Alliance will be brought into the Shadow, away from the false light as much as possible, without breaking the balance.
Whilst in the service of the Shadow, it is the goal of all members to ascend. To become one with the Shadow, in body, spirit, and mind, is the ultimate gift. To become an Ascendant of the Forgotten Shadow is the greatest honour that can be bestowed upon any who serve the order. As the living, or the undead, we cannot truly ascend. Full ascension is impossible, due to the curse of the flesh, or the Scourge. Shadow Ascendance is all we may hope for, and is still a great privilege to gain.
Throughout the service of the Shadow, all must uphold its virtues. These are the three great virtues of the Forgotten Shadow, and all who seek to serve must know them, and follow them throughout life or undeath.

Respect:
The universe is the physical manifestation of other's wills. Thus, for a person to denigrate the universe is to ignore the personal power of those around them. This is not only disrespectful, it is dangerous. A follower of the Forgotten Shadow must develop his personal power in order to exert his will on the universe, but seeking too much power too quickly puts him in conflict with other, stronger beings. Only a foolish follower seeks to challenge his superiors right away. Showing respect ensures a measure of self-protection.

Tenacity:
Followers of the Forgotten Shadow put even greater stock in the virtue of tenacity. It may at first seem impossible for a person to change the universe when countless others seeking to do the same surround him. Through unwavering perseverance and tenacity though, they may triumph.

Power:
Power is the third virtue of the Forgotten Shadow, and the most difficult to attain. A Forsaken who grabs greedily for power might encounter power too great for him or her to handle, and die in their attempt to master it. A Forsaken who succumbs to despair and seeks no personal power has no reason to exist; he craves nothing, desires nothing, he sits alone and pines for his old life. To the cult, Forsaken who do not seek to better themselves might as well still be part of the Scourge. The quest for power requires caution, forethought, and a subtle touch.

True ascension can never be gained, by any of the Shadow’s Reach. We are impure. We can only partially ascend, if permitted by the Shadow. This form of ascension is still the ultimate gift one of the Shadow’s Reach can earn. True ascension can only be gained by our Sorceress. Upon her death, she will become one with the Shadow. Until that time, she acts as our guide. The Forgotten Shadow has gifted us with her wisdom, and her words.The Shadow's Reach is sorted into the following ranks:

Executor - The Commanding Officer of the Shadow's Reach

Lieutenant - Lower officers of the Shadow's Reach

Diviner - The Preachers of the Forgotten Shadow within the order

Deathguard - The common every day person within the order, each one has knowledge of the tenets and the guild's principles

Mercenaries - Those employed by the Shadow's Reach to make up for any short numbers

Initiates - These are those who have recently joined the order and are yet to prove themselves.While the Shadow's Reach is primarily a Forsaken guild, it is open for anyone of other races to join, as they must prove themselves nevertheless, and are worthy of service to the Sorceress. They are expected to follow the teachings of the Forgotten Shadow and worship it as any other within the order.

Also, even though our main function is as a Roleplaying Guild, we have taken interest in PvE in the past, going so far as to have downed Bastion of Twilight and Throne of the Four Winds in the past, but never being able to sustain a raid team due to low levels of healers on our old server! We aim to continue this smaller aim here as well!

Ahem. And that's the basic guild concept. Yes, i'll be transferring in due time. Until that time, i'll have to be using alts.

As we don't actually trust Aeorna here with anything beyond the msot menial of tasks, i handle most of the guilds external relations. The guild functions mainly as a constitutional monarchy would, Aeorna acting as the figurehead monarch, Racathor leading the practical matters.

If anyone is wondering, yes we did make our own take on the Forgotten Shadow a little bit. That is due to the fact, that the lore does clearly state that those who worship the Forgotten Shadow have many conflicting viewpoints on how best to worship it, which leads to the fractured leadership of the Cult.

We do, of course, use all existing lore on the Forgotten Shadow, and of course follow that accordingly. The guild is mainly Forsaken, as Forsaken have proven to be those who follow the forgotten Shadow the most commonly. However, Death Knights are allowed with equal ease. Other races are slightly more difficult. If one of another race chose to join, they would have to swear allegiance to the order, and be a devout worshipper of the Forgotten Shadow.

The guild -hopes- to eventually get into RPPvP if we can, but that is not currently our main goal. We will be trying to get as much going with other guilds as we can. Aeorna made us sound like the darkest of the dark of the dark. We're not -that- bad. We merely worship a shadowy religion, with fairly narcisssistic tenets....

Point being, i hope we can get some very nice RP going here.

Hm, this does sound to be a very interesting guild you wish to transfer over, and I hope for the best of luck in getting RP and members here. It seems well thought out from what I got from the forum, but I guess that's a given when you transfer an already-made guild I guess. I wish you the best of luck getting established on this realm. (And by that I hope to see you all hang from the gallows, forever-damned heretics!)
