Vildhjärta is another one of these djent bands. Basically it's something downtuned, preferably 8-strings, akin to Meshuggah but less original, and ridiculously tweaked in production. To each his own taste I suppose...

It's actually 7 strings, they are inspired by meshuggah "who are good friends of them irl" but not copying them, nothing tweaked at all, the whole album was recorded at their home studio with 3 guitars + line 6 xt pedal and cubase and that's about it.
If you've heard the album well you will actually notice they are pretty unique :) Fred and thomas from meshuggah said actually Vildhjarta (and not hjärta) is the only "djent" band they will consider going on tour with because it's not a meshuggah clone |
