Greetings.

Surfed Too Long, is an fairly old guild on the server Aerie Peak on the Alliance side. As said in the title of the post we're looking for a tank mainly, we currently got a dk as main tank and would love to have a pala or warr tank as off-tank however druid is also acceptable, but also backup healers and Dps are welcome. Below you'll find a list of classes and there rolls and how urgently we need them. After that there will be a list of everything you need to know about us. Everything is sorted so feel free to scroll over it and read what's important for you in a guild.

History
Surfed Too Long started of in its current form at the end of Wotlk with nice raiding progression toward the Lich King. With cataclysm coming up we had a brief break of raiding. Later on we did get some raids up again and managed to get 12/12 shortly before 4.2 hit. In 4.2 we had problems with raiding because a lot of people didn't show up anymore, however we still managed to get 5/7 normal. After that the guild fell apart and not much raids went on anymore. Some members left to join some more hardcore raiding guilds to keep their raiding performance up. Now 4.3 came out and everyone is having a blast in the looking for raid DS mode. The old officers of Surfed Too Long came back together to start raiding again.

Raiding
The officers mate a solid raiding schedule that we're going to try to follow. As some of our members that came back are a bit rusty we'll start of slowly with DS Normal, the goal the first week will be doing at least 6/8 bosses, possibly more. The second week we'll clear DS hopefully with not too much of a struggle. The third week we hope to be ready for Morchok heroic, we'll start on him depending on our raids gear. If we had some bad luck on the tier drops we'll do another normal clear so we can start properly with heroic modes the week after.

As we're not an insane hardcore guild we will do the heroic modes slowly. Starting with one boss a week and making sure we can kill the bosses we did on heroic and still clear the raid while making some progress. As the last 2 bosses on heroic aren’t easy at all we might skip some weeks of progress on them when we get there.

Raiding Times
We're going for 3 DS raids a week of each 3 hours to make progress and clearing the whole thing possible but also opening some gabs so you can enjoy your life.

Thursday 19:00-22:00
Sunday 19:00-22:00
Tuesday 19:00-22:00

These raids we want all our raiders to attend to. Even if you're not sure you're gonna get in the team for that night as we want a flexible team with a lot of swapping around

Saturday 15:00- ??

This will be the time were we do things like Baradin Hold, raid finder with some guildies or even firelands. You do not have to attend to this raid at all, but of course we like to see you there.

Attendance
As stated above we want a 100% attendance on the main raids especially when we're making progress. Of course there are always those days were you're ill or your grand-ma wants’ you to come over, but we can understand that. However if you know this in advance let us know on the guild forums. Just changing your status on the raid event in-game to tentative isn't good enough.

General Rules
- As we only raid 3hours a day we don't want any slacking. If we wipe and we have to run you do this right away, however if one of the officers says don't release as it for example takes longer to load your screen on the way in than ressing you.
- Food: our guild doesn't have any fish feasts yet some we want everyone to get the 90buff foods for them self on progress nights. If we're not doing a progress run you'll be allowed to use lower level food or we will even get a dragon feast out!
- Flasks: Each raid one cauldron will go up, if you miss this event for some reason you'll have to use your own flasks.
- Voice Chat: you need to be able to use ventrilo preferably with a microphone.
- Guild Website: you are required to at least make an account on our website and check out the forums regularly, as well as making afk posts here when needed.
- Guild Bank and Repairs: an amount of 100g a day will be open for raiders to repair with. We'd like you to not abuse this and only use it when we had a raid. Also feel free to use but not abuse the guild bank in it's intertie.

Loot Rules
We're not using any fancy currency’s for loot neither are we just need/greeding gear. We'll be giving away gear based on the importance of the raid team. E.g. tanks will get the tier pieces if they don't got the 4set yet and healers will be able to get it if it's a big upgrade even though it would be a better upgrade for a dps, other pieces like weapons and trinkets will be given to tanks and healers as well as they'll be the important keystones for our heroic progression. Other pieces were there is no-one that has priority will be rolled for and given away by the master looter.

Member Of The Month
Each month we'll open a post on the guild forums where you can vote on your fellow raiders. Everyone may vote one of the raiders expect them self. The one who has the most votes the 1st of each month will get the rank "Member Of The Month". This rank will give you some privileges including +1 on all rolls you do that month, and also if a month drops that month the MOTM will get it.

Interested, My guild currently have three 10 man teams but for some reason Not wanting to take a rouge :P This is a alt of mine that i will Be transferring to my Main, My main Currently is Bustrix. Feel free to look him up so you can see my current experience.

One question i do have is, Is the raid times, Server time?

And to answer your question: the raid times are indeed server time (Paris time that is on the europe server if I recall correctly)
