Ravenholdt was once a Realm were PvPers use to come from miles around to come to take part in its great PvP events, Ravenholdt was once a Realm of Dedication and Commitment, A realm were the Dark Saints use to battle it out with the Zylos Hand constantly, A realm were both Horde and Alliance factions stood as one to fight between each other, Ravenholdt was once a Realm of Fun and Greatness.
We all have a chance to restore Ravenholdt back to its former glory back to the way it use to be, we all have a chance to show the people that Abandoned this Realm that they were wrong, We might be small but if we all stand together we can Deify great odds, We might be a small realm but that doesn't mean that we can't turn things around. I am not asking you to leave your current Guilds, I'm asking you to help us restore this realm back to its former glory back to the way things use to be, We all have a chance to Shine to show all the people that abandoned this Realm that we are not going out without a fight, that this Realm never died it merely went into a long sleep. I am not and officer of the Dark Saints I hold no Rank and I am on 17 years old But that doesn't mean that I don't know what am talking about. You see in life you can't just sit around and wait for things to happen things will never change unless we try to fix them we can bring this REALM BACK!!!! It might take time but there is still a chance to light the fire, we can attack horde city's provoking war and Uploading you tube videos we could make Characters on other Realms and advertise the Videos our WPvP events by Spreading the message we can do it, we have a chance to well and truly bring this realm back. Some of you might be thinking why would people pay to transfer Realms for WPvP events when they can have them on the own servers for free but there is nothing like being at the forefront of all the action the place were it all kicked off. Like me you might of had some friends that left this Realm to go and join others or even that have quit WoW, and are you telling me that you wouldn't like a chance to bring them back? I have had a lot of friends that have left this Realm good mates and I know I would sure like a chance to bring them back to restore Ravenholdt it might be a Shot in the Dark but its a chance non the less. You cant just sit around and dream of a better tomorrow it is time to take Action the time has come to Fight back to Unite. |

When making this kind of threads ask yourself what did you do to make Ravenholdt a better place? And in that respect what did any of the 400 DS members do for RH PvP? I am not trying to make you or anybody else feel guilty about the state of things. Merely trying to make a few points:
1. Ravenholdt was always a nice place WPvP wise thanks to 5 or 6 people that used to be part of the community: Haldan <The Agency of War>, Dacarn <Crimson Moon>, Parashade <Dark Saints>, Grumzod <Tides of Misery>, <No Mercy For The Weak> ( one of the very old WPvP guilds. Sadly I forgot the name of the leader... ), Zylopfa <Zylos Hand> ( I am talking about the original Zylos Hand and not the Cataclysm joke ). Long time ago these forces were balanced around both Horde / Alliance. So that every time when Crimson Moon attacked Stormwind, we'd have Dark Saints to fight against and vice versa. All of the above used to lead big forces into the field of strife. And all of them either quit the game or moved away.
2. In reality you don't need millions of people to ignite some quality WPvP. RH never had A LOT of players. In reality all you need is 10 or 20 players in total and you have some amazing memorable events. You can't argue we don't have these numbers on RH. What this realm lacks is some true leaders on both sides, like in the old days. This realm lacks communities. For me personally the state of things on Ravenholdt became obvious after Haldan quit the game ( and with him Azmus, Roowan and many more ). They used to be the last old-school force that tried keeping the WPvP flame alive on Ravenholdt. Honourable they were. And Haldan's demise happened long after Dacarn's and Parashade's just to give you a slight idea of how bad the realm already was without the 2. 3. Tol Barad empty, Hyjal empty, WorldDefense channel dead. You can blame guards, you can blame Blizzard, you can blame arcane mages or whatever. But I personally blame the lack of community. Nothing stops you to run around Tol Barad looking for Horde to kill, right? Well I used to do that for along time till I realized that I am wasting time. I still periodically go there to find ... nobody. |

Merely trying to make a few points: I blame the lack of squid <コ:彡 ( ^^) _U~~ The reason the realm mostly dead is that wow entering the run up to the new expansion so no one really plays, plus with a seasonally good spring weather people are going out. There also been a string of intense weighty games since Christmas such as mass effect 3. That people are playing on as well as zero new content. In expansions gone bye there was new content at this stage but since cataclysm blizzard has dropped the ball instead of producing more filler content they've opted for the more flashy option. e.g. that whole one year subscription thing and the new scroll of resurrection which will bring more payers back and lock onto old players alike without the adding any more content. |
