Basic Information
A few years a go the realm of Scarshield Legion (SSL) died in terms of its RP, now you would be hard pressed to find any community anywhere on the realm that's RPing. Meanwhile on other realms the general quality of RP began to drop, while a few amazing rp groups lived on and still do, the average shows that things are getting worse. Because of this problem, the SSL Project arose. The intentions of the project is to rekindle the amazing RP that used to happen on SSL, as well as creating a community for RPers everywhere to enjoy high quality RP without anyone ruining the fun! With old SSL players and many many others from realms throughout warcraft joining in the project, things are going well. With at least 1 event happening every week, you can be pretty sure that there is something here for you to enjoy and immerse yourself in. Our RP home Elwynn So, after a long and pretty heated discussion, we have settled in Elwynn. While other regions such as Theremore seem much more promising and interesting places we decided it would be best for the project to play it safe in where we choose to set up camp. Elwynn is a low level area that is easy to get to for anyone interested in RP. One of the biggest fears from the project team was that things would turn bad in places such as Goldshire (infamous on other realms for ERP among other things) but as there is no-one there at the moment and the realm is pretty much empty, we can stop such things from happening by claiming it now. Goldshire is our current RP hub, however we have other RP going on throughout the region. The Kingdom While we aren't spreading so far as to go into places like westfall, redridge and duskwood, we aren't taking them out of the picture. Once things are established in Elwynn we aim to broaden our RP into new regions and increase variety. If ever anyone feels like a guild they have planned for is better suited in one of these regions before we have expanded there just talk to one of our project leaders, we will be sure to organize something. A vast choice of Guilds Elwynn Society Led by Magistrate Mitch and Inkeeper Alyka, the elwynn society is a lovely and warm 'township' guild based in Goldshire. If you aren't certain of any of the other guilds we offer this is probably the best place to go. The society caters for any kind of character so don't think you won't fit in. With events happening every week your certain not to get bored in the guild. Elwynn Regiment Led by Captain Asalinia Tubridge, the Regiment is the new and refurbished guard guild of the project. If you have a more military interest in warcraft this is one of the best places to go. With meetings held at least once a week you won't feel like you have little to do, and with a well thought out ranking and promotion system you always have somewhere to aspire to. House of Vistian Led by disgraced nobleman Aentius Vistian, the House of Vistian is the projects resident antagonist guild. The guild comprises of old and loyal subjects to the Vistian family all the way to blood thirsty murderer's hiding from the law. If your character is more the neutral mercenary sort or the evil type this is the best guild for you to go to. Great events As well as great weekly events with each of the guilds, the project also runs a big RP event for everyone to get involved with every week! Here's just a sample of the events you can go to and quench your appetite for RP. Goldshire Market Faire Every Sunday at 7 realm time, the Elywnn Society and all the guilds in the SSL Project hold a Market Faire in Goldshire, here people can come on down and purchase new RP gear, food stuffs and rare items. Moreover, we will be holding new and exciting events such as a Riddle contest throughout the faire where people can win fantastic prizes! But not only that, if you are interested in joining the SSL Project fully, our recruiters will be sure to be down there if you want to join any of our guilds or just want to join in in general. Finally, if you just want to hang out and enjoy the RP, feel free to just enjoy the festivities and talk to all the other RPers. Our Project Leaders Asalinia Tunbridge - Project creator, Leader of Elywnn Regiment, Councillor, Site Admin Mitch - Magistrate of Elywnn Society, Councillor, Site Admin Alyka - Inkeeper of Elywnn Society, Councillor Aentius - Leader of House of Vistian (more to be added in time) |

Horde RP
If the project is to be really successful we are going to have to have RP running on both factions. However, to be safe and to get the project going we are focusing on Alliance RP at the moment. Never the less, i am still looking for anyone on the horde side who would be interested in doing RP and more than anything someone who would be able to lead things there. While i am helping all aspects of rp on the alliance side, it is too much to do it on both factions. So, if your at all interested in the SSL Project, be sure to make a character and come and check out what we do and what we are like. Feel free to talk to any of our project members, i'm sure they will be as helpful as they can :) Our SSL chat channel : SSLProjectOOC Our Website : http://tinyurl.com/TheSSLProject Old SSL Project thread: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3147736249 If you need to ask any questions on the project or its guilds feel free to ask and i'll try my best to answer. |

I may particicate in this, yet I have no experience in reviving old realms, and let them sprout of life - though, I guess that's your job.
So, what sort of guilds like in what theme; tell me that, and I will gladly spend some time (along with others just to clarify it) making one, and do my best to run it along while helping you guys reviving the realm. |
|
Well, I take it the meeting went well in other words, seeing the choices of guilds. Goodie!
Best of luck with them guilds and incoming events - and REALLY best of luck with surviving Goldshire (Though it might not be as bad as on other servers)! |

Thank you to both of you for offering your support :)
Jhones: Im not certain on exactly what your question was there, but i'll try my best to answer. The Elwynn Society's theme is mainly that of a friendly community, working together to keep up the town, The Elwynn Regiment is more of that of discipline and defence, using quick and fast tactics to get the job done. Finnaly the House of Vistian's theme is that of revenge and disruption, doing its best to undermine the guard and cause trouble. If that wasn't exactly what you were looking for in an answer im sorry, talk to me when im online and i'll be free to answer any questions then. As for your offer of leading a guild, we need to be careful with that. While i would be perfectly happy for you to lead a guild in the future, those who attended our meeting agreed that it would be best to start small with 3 guilds and get them running to a decent standard before expansion. Until this point, you are free to join any of our guilds and come RP in our hub :) Turidas: Thanks for your support and we are pretty pleased with the guilds too :) Feel free to come down and try out our events such as the market faire whenever you like! As for Goldshire, it was a difficult decision but one that thankfully worked due to the small population of the realm. As we are pretty much the only people that go there we don't need to worry about idiots ruining any RP we do. Goldshire was a great place to RP back when RP ran on old Scarshield Legion, so im sure I and the project team will be able to handle things there :) |

Well, to cut it out in cardboard (or to express myself in a more understandable way?), all I was asking; what sort of guilds are you in need of. Dark-themed, thieve-ish, military and so on; more specifically who of them would you need the most?
|
|
Well im afraid we aren't ready for any new rp guilds at this time, if new ones where to sprout up our numbers would be spread too thin. Already between our 3 guilds our numbers have been spread, if more where added to the mix the project could crumble. For the time being it is necessary to build up the guilds and rp we already have before moving foreword.
Feel free to enjoy what we have to offer for the time being, im sure you won't be disappointed! |

Remember our Weekly Market Faire on Sunday at 7:00pm!
The market faire is an open event to anyone to come to so make sure you come on down if you want to know anything from the SSL Project from our members! Check the info above to find out more about what the faire has to offer or talk to me or any other project leaders whenever we are online! |
|
Seems nice! Will change realm and definetly try out the RP :)
|
|
I have a few Vindicators. I might be able to bring one across.
|
|
Well the more the merrier :) If you wish to come to the faire just head down on Sunday, if you want to do something there such as sell things and so on be sure to contact me or our project leaders so we can invite you to the event list and discuss what you are going to do.

Ive unfortunatly moved most of my characters away from Scarshield Legion, however I would be interested in making a character there once more to see how this works out.
To be honest I'll put this in as an edit as its crossed my mind. Goldshire is stereotypically a poor place to Roleplay, now since SSL has no RP its the perfect oppotunity to make Goldshire good, Goldshire used to be SSLs main RP hub and it used to be high quality however part of what originally killed the realm in my opinion was the sheer amount of OOCers in Goldshire who run around spamming abilities and dueling etc, not to mention the horde that used to roflpwn it daily. For that reason I think using Old Town as most other realms might work more, mainly due to stereotypes from off-realmers who want to join, if they come to SSL and see no RP in Stormwind and then loads in Goldshire they will immediately assume the RP is "goldshire ERP" and leave the realm. |
|
During our first project meeting we had a very long debate about where we would decide to set up shop. Stormwind was not initially chosen as we thought the amount of initial oocers we would get would be far too many to handle. While Goldshire does have a terrible reputation on other realms on ours it is far from it. In the past we did have great RP going on there and that's what i hope we can rekindle.
As you mentioned and we at the project know, Goldshire on our realm is empty. At peak times we will get 2 oocers, but they tend to stay outside and don't bother us. If you think its a mistake that we have chosen Elwynn as our hub believe me when i say the decision was not made lightly, however from what we have been given in this realm and taking into account everyone's opinion and knowledge we all agreed that Goldshire and Elwynn is the safest place for us to go to get the project up and running. Anyhow, 35 mins to the market faire people! Be sure to come down and talk to our project leaders and enjoy our RP. While numbers may seem small, things have been working amazingly so far and we have a very good team on board. :) |

Just another mention on the Goldshire thing, it isn't the only hub for our RP. Because of this, even IF Goldshire was to turn into some cesspit of ERP and crap like that it wouldn't be the end of the world, we have other areas we can go to. Also, the oocers who tend to head down to Goldshire on our realm are a bit less persistant, if you ignore them for a few minutes they just run off and stop bothering you. Thanks to this, managing OOCer problems in our hubs is pretty easy, so there isn't much of a need to worry.
edit: just a note for the market faire. Anyone who is not in the guilds Elwynn Regiment, Elwynn Society or House of Vistian is not an official member of the project, so there actions are in no way representative of the project incase they cause an issue. |

Well, snooping around and desperatly trying to not get caught while I write this: While I can't understand a thing happening, it's good to atleast see there's quite a lot taking part of it! And since I've been here since.. six? Got worried about the low-level PvP ruining things but, seems to have ran off before the event began which was good.

a BIG thank you!
Well, thank you to all those who came down to the market faire tonight! While it didn't exactly go to plan (as in the 'market' part of the market faire seemed oddly absent) everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we had a good time rping! Remember, this event happens EVERY Sunday at 7pm realm time, hopefully things will be a bit more organized next week. Thank you! |

I had a little look around on my druid as you might have noticed, I have quite a few redundant chars here on ARgent Dawn (not this one) I might consider moving one back if this works out.
