Type of Violation: Harassment
Category of Violation: Inappropriate Here is what you said: "retards" Account Action: Warning and here is what i found : http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/search?q=retard%20&f=wowcharacter --- srsly ??? I think this perticular word is rly "weak" to be consideret Harassment. I dont know when or where i did say this, but when i did it was probably to bunch of people who are unable to lets say move out of voidzone yes ? They are slow they prevent the progress of the group to succeed in what we were doing. Furthermore, If I am someone who dont like to be "called names" or if I am someone who is being offendet by this kind of language I can turn on mature filter. Oh wait word "retard" isnt even blured out... hmmm ... . In many years that i played this game I was offendet so many times but why would i even consider to report them or anything. If u want to live your dream of being in perfect world where everyone loves each other and so on... dont go on Internet ... w8 even the world isnt any better place my own advice to you : Ignore raging people like me, I rage alot and so does 95 percent of internet and when we rage we say lots of things we dont "mean" them. You broke the rules. You got reported. You got a warning. Instead of complaining try learning from your mistakes?
As for the Char names, names are acted upon when reported. Be hopeful that Shammoz doesn't come across this thread... |

Greetings Mikití,
While you may disagree, I’m afraid I can only confirm that the word you used can indeed be considered extremely derogatory, and would be classed against our in-game harassment policies (which you can read more about in the link below). Please bear in mind that our game is enjoyed by players of all ages and backgrounds, and we have to hold everyone to the same set of standards when it comes to language usage in-game so, although for you a term such as this might be used in a throwaway remark, it unfortunately did offend someone enough for them to report it. I would additionally state, however, that if you only received a ‘Warning’ on your account then this is the lowest level of account penalty and, as long as you try and refrain from any further inappropriate language usage, you shouldn’t face any further repercussions from this incident at all. Finally, with regards to there being characters in-game with this name, I’m sorry to say that we’re not able to actively police either in-game chat or character names, and therefore base any account actions on reports received (and validated). If a player did, therefore, decide to report such a name in-game , it would obviously be investigated and a name change issued accordingly. There's a legitimate context of using said word. Based on your attitude and 'internet tough guy' routine, I don't think you were using the legitimate context. You're playing a game where there are a wide range of backgrounds - as a disabled gamer myself whom just so happens to have his own mental disability, to use such language is completely inappropriate and offensive. We've all agreed to a specific set of rules, so why do you feel like you can freely break them? Char names acted upon reporting ? Is it same as bots ? Yes. And i do hope Shammoz who ever that is come here i would like to talk to blue guy ... And they will tell you that they cannot discuss actions on the account on a public forum due to privacy issues - you'll need to take it up with WoWConcernsEU@blizzard.com if you wish to appeal the decision, but you'll only be wasting your own time. Oh, the Borg Cube got to there first. :( |

Ok, I am now confused but anyway ok...
Let me ask 1 question than. Why cant i report people who actully fail to play this game, fail to follow instructions and succeed to waste my time for wich I pay for ? I dont say people are perfect coz they are not including me none of us is perfect. But I do believe in change and i think if u focus on something u can change the way of doing it. So if I ask mr nice warlock to NOT dps down another corruption on spine. I ask him more than once and he fails to comply. Why cant i report him , I dont want to get him banned or anything just prevent him from using LFR for like what few days ? Yes you say i can kick him ! and i say back I cant... kick in particular doesnt work for me. Actully it works perfectly against me because people are more likely to kick me and not the one "wiping" our raid. Why... because i talk ... he is quiet. |

Ok, I am now confused but anyway ok... Because that is not harassment or against the policies - that is what I believe you would call a "l2p" issue. If someone is not doing something correct, instead of using petty insults, you could be constructive by advising and encouraging a player. Not everyone is going to be as skilled as you are. In the worst case scenario, you have the votekick tool at your disposal. I dont say people are perfect coz they are not including me none of us is perfect. But I do believe in change and i think if u focus on something u can change the way of doing it. You see, this is the price you pay for being overly zealous with the votekick option. It's used to remove genuine players who are disruptive, absolutely hopeless (after numerous attempts to try and be constructive) and trolling, not for those who do not know how to play, or fail to do X amount of DPS, etc. A bit of understanding, common courtesy and respect goes a long way in a game designed with other people in mind. If you cannot work with other players constructively, then a single player game might be more suitable for someone of your mindset. |

Where is the sweet universe I believed in... I guess its gone forever modern age of Internet is just social stuff. I hope Diablo 3 will bring me some of them Old Days back : / I ll be quiet now .. again .. I think i was born in bad century. |

So your being honest by calling people that word even though you dont know them
good job **rolls eyes** As a mother to an autistic child who plays this game and knowing a lot of children/ young adults with disabilities use games such as these as a way of socialising as they find it difficult to socialise normally are often bullied at school and said word is one of the more common words used during this bullying. I kind of feel a warning was too light. What gives you the right to insult people you dont know. Do you even think about who might be playing on the other side of the character your insulting. Maybe they dont understand certain mechanics but still want to enjoy the game in the same way and experience it. What gives you the right to judge wether they can or cant use raid finder. If you want to raid in a controlled enviroment raid with a guild not in a pug! |

Actully it is very hard. I like to be more fair to people so i dont lie to them. To speak is silver, but silence is golden they say... Simple as that. If you can not say anything nice or at least constructive... Then do not say it at all. |

You do realise LFG raid is for people who do not normally raid. I know people who do raid are going into it to get the peice bonus (that's why I went there). Do you also realise that you might meet people who don't speak/understand English ? Maybe that's why he didn't know what was going on... Does that make him a retard, no it doesn't! Is it a bit frustrating, Yeah I've been there but I didn't start name calling. I have some brain cells floating around in my head (not many mind you) and I give this thing called a benefit of a doubt.
Maybe whisper the guy and say hey mate we need to leave one up please or I dunno go over the tactics politely in raid chat. Do remember that there are human beings with feelings behind the monitor of the char you're barking at, they dont need or deserve your lack of manners and social skills. I would of ignored you also though to be honest if you came across how you are coming across in your post. Ok, I am now confused but anyway ok... |

I got a warning for using the exact same word. Where i live people commonly swear and this word is used as an insult by seven year olds.

Doesn't make it right.
Somehow I missed it. To clarify, I have the pleasure of having some friends that have physical disabilities or mental disabilities in my life. I have had the displeasure of hearing them called names when they are wonderful people. The R Word being used in such a flippant manner in order to offend someone is like nails being drawn across a chalkboard for me, so I am glad it is policed. Granted, this word is used a lot, that does not mean it should be used, it means the public need educating to not use it so flippantly. |

by using the word i do not intend to insult people with disabilities infact i hate it when people make fun of people for who they are and would never call anyone with any physical or mental disabilities any names. yet by using the word i am just thought to be one of the typical sad people who think its funny to call people names over something they can not change. Also i come from a christian family and go to church and have achieved a b and above in all my GCSEs.
