Warrior or Warlock ?
|
Hi,
With the arrival of the new patch 4.3, I repayed the account and I want to start something new. I'm thinking about leveling a Warrior or a Warlock, but I don't know what. I don't want Fotm and also I don't wanna replies like "Play what you like / Bring the player not the class or depends on what you prefer: melee or range, pet or without pet". I know these things, I just want arguments based on your own experience, regarding how fun is it to play / how rewarding / how easy you find groups for raids. Oh, and I want it only for PvE; I'm not gonna PvP at all. |

Ok.
My main is a lock, i find it VERY enjoyable, and also very challenging. It's one of the hardest classes to shine with, but if you make it you get really satisfied. If you want easy classes that do not require much effort to get results, don't choose locks. I also have a warrior, it's also a great class. Its main advantage (if you want to tank) is that Dungeon Finder is your territory, as tank you are ready to join 2 seconds after you queue for it. Which is nice, expecially at the beginning when you have to gear up as fast as possible. As dps you can now do it both as arms or as fury, really depends on playstyle. |

Warlocks are not a very rewarding class. If you want to do serious damage you'll have to track a lot more then most other classes. It is very unforgiving for people who do not key-bind or who do not know what to do.
In low-level instances you'll be lowest DPS and questing is often criticised as dot-dot-run-yawn. If you know how to key-bind; if you like being anything but FOTM; if you like putting effort in your DPS then Warlocks are a good choice. |

Demo ? .. Don't make me laugh.. If u want serious dmg in low levels go destruction for conflagration.. Demon ain't worth !@#$ in dungeons until he gets metamorphis with immolation aura and Bladestorm on his fel guard. |

affliction all the way Gonna be useless in low level mate. |

Warriors are so common, why be a sheep when you can be a wolf!

u wanna dps? go warlock (3 different specs all range). If u wanna tank go warrior :p
I dont have a warlock, but ive got a 85 mage and a 85 warrior. And as far as damage goes, i think range is more fun, and with different dps specs you can always try out different ones, as a warrior you dont have as many dps specs as a warlock. |

Thing with warriors is we are super gear dependant and untill you have a good level of gear your gonna suck even if you play your heart out.
And i have noticed i have to wait longer for LFR as a plate class than mail and cloth users usually do. |

Hi,
I have the two characters warrior and warlock, my warrior is tank/fury the good thing that warrior use rage which generated during fights. And for my point of view warrior is the best tank in bosses hold aggro and high DPS output, also for fury i prefer it than arms especially TG and i know they nerfed them in patch 4.3 removed the 5% damage but still having fun in playing For the warlock i sense that they are unipue casters, no MB, they can heal themsleves during fights and out of combat, and also they have special abilities than any class. and the most fun tree is destruction after patch 4.3 Thanks |
affliction all the way Lol yeah but that is not the only thing that makes locks fun. Making mage wipe with soulshatter can be priceless, need awesome timing though. |
