Keepers of Eight is a casual raiding guild and we're looking for a few more raiders to join us. Since Christmas raid attendance has dropped off and so we're now recruiting for more.We are currently 6/7 Firelands normal mode (said we were casual) and 7/8 Dragon Soul normal mode. We are all mature players who can (mostly) dictate our own hours. Most of us have, or have had, children and understand if you need to go AFK suddenly to a real life emergency, even if in the middle of a boss fight. We don't criticise or complain when people make mistakes, but we are looking for people who will listen and follow raid instructions and who don't make the same mistake too many times.

There is no requirement for a minimum raid attendance, we have two or three people who often cannot attend for many raids in a row, but we do expect you to sign up, and turn up, for raids if you are available. We don't want to see you questing or doing PUG raids and instances while we're trying to find enough people for a raid.

When too many people turn up we try to be fair and make sure everyone gets an equal chance to go. If you don't get an invite for one raid you will get priority next time. That said, when we are raiding brand new content we try to take the best raiders to help us get through it. We also prefer main raiding characters and specs for such content. We feel it's not fair to the other raiders to insist on playing a lower geared or less famailiar character when we are struggling to down a boss, leading to a night of wipes where we might otherwise have made some progress. Our website is at http://keepers-of-eight.webs.com/. We generally raid new content on Wednesdays and Fridays, and do more relaxed content (farming, older raids) on Sundays and Mondays. Our raid times are from 20:00/20:30 to 23:00, the start time depends on which day and what we have planned. So that's us. Now about you.

We are looking for friendly, patient, mature (in attitude even if not in years) raiders. We are looking for people who are willing to contribute. We will not tolerate people who try to take advantage of us. We always help each other out with enchants, gems, etc. You don't need to be the best raider ever, you don't need to be an experienced raider, but if you are not you do need to be willing to learn and able to take advice. You will be asked and expected to sign up to the guild forum, and you will be asked and expected to keep your gear fully and properly gemmed and enchanted. If you are interested in joining, please whisper or send in-game mail to one of the following people:

Guild Master: Shaymon
Chief Officer: Mireamel

As of the other night, we are now 3/8 in Dragon Soul. We just need a regular crew on Ragnaros to get him down (spent most of last night explaining transitional phase tactics only to have a melee leave after a while and ended up needing to re-work everything which cost us a lot of time). Once Ragnaros is down we'll probably be farming the first few bosses in Dragon Soul one night of each week.

We've recruited a rogue recently, but could still use another melee.

We still need at least one healer. We can usually find enough for a raid most nights, but it's better to have regular healers and healers just from in guild. We only have three regularly raiding healers in guild, so we really need another as there's usually one or another away most nights.

As of Friday night we are now 4/8 in Dragon Soul normal 10 man, and we'll be pushing for 5/8 on Wednesday.

We've picked up a good hunter, so we really are full on ranged, but could still use another melee and more healers.

And more tanks. Our regular off-tank has not been seen for weeks after he dropped out of a DS raid to make room for a DPS on a one-tank boss. His brother who used to be our regular off-tank missed a raid last week, leaving us in difficulties and hasn't been seen since.

So we need at least one more tank who can turn up regularly to raids. Prefer not druid as we already have one (me :)

We've recruited a couple of healers recently, so really we're pretty much full, but the odd melee or tank would be welcomed.

Our main raid group is full. In fact we are nicely oversigned on most nights. However we are considering starting a second raid group for the less experienced guild members to get experience and practise raiding with a view to joining the main raid group later. If we get enough people we may even go 25 man raiding. If you are interested in joining an extremely casual "learning" group, whisper me or another guild member.

We're pretty full of hunters to be honest. We have two who turn up regularly and a couple more who turn up occasionally. We do seem to be expanding though, but I can't make any promises.

Still no shadow priests or warlocks who raid - only a few alts. So if you wanted to reroll we could fit you in - once you levelled and geared up of course.

In other news:

The last week we had so many signups that we've been running two 10 man groups. It was a bit of a failure, really, because we're not accustomed to doing this and so getting the group make up didn't really work. We ended up with two groups who both struggled to down their bosses. We had a lot of players who haven't really raided before, and we struggled to find a 4th tank. But with a few more people, especially another tank or two, we might get this 2x10 man raids thing working. It's all still a bit up in the air. If we get a few more (6-8) DPS and perhaps another healer on a regular basis we may try 25 man raids.

One of our main tanks has left us for another guild recently, so now we need a new tank. We have a druid and a DK, so Warrior or Paladin would be preferred. We solo-tank the first four bosses, so a good DPS offspec is good to have, but not essential as both the current tanks have a fairly decent DPS offspec.

The reason we want three tanks is that sometimes the DK can't make it and sometimes I fancy a night off. So don't worry that you'll be a spare wheel, I can promise you plenty of raiding.

We're 7/8 normal now, and getting the first 5 bosses down easily. We hope to be 8/8 very very soon. Then we can start doing heroic mode bosses.
