non healing classes telling me what to do
|

well, there are alot of different ways people play this game. If i get a tank like this, i just let em die. If they start wining, you just laugh at them and move on. Occasionally, theres the non retarted tank and they do get why they died and stop doing, as i call it "the chiken dance" hehe |

Think it is bit silly that you can get talents at say lvl 30 but the spell it effects is given at 68 or something like that.
My build might be crap dunno but for solo questing that i do the most of it works just as well as anything else, think the plan is for a raid build in the end but by the time i get to 85 MoP is out and well everything has changed yet again. |

As for dispells yes they can make a difference, had my Enhancement shaman in Magisters terrace last night doing bit of a solo run, and the inject poison stuff hurt like hell, he is only 79 but with cata gear so 28k hp and i barely survived some trash packs :)

Think it is bit silly that you can get talents at say lvl 30 but the spell it effects is given at 68 or something like that. It's same with a lot of other class and idd pretty fail. My build might be crap dunno but for solo questing that i do the most of it works just as well as anything else, think the plan is for a raid build in the end but by the time i get to 85 MoP is out and well everything has changed yet again. I personally prefer ppl that make their own specc during leveling, instead of copying a raiding one (sometimes a high end raiding one too, tailored for certain encounters). Ofc you wont keep that specc at level 85 or even at 80, but during leveling talent priorities could be different. For example, considering the cost of spells at low level and how they buffed passive regen, I never take mana reducing spells, because that 6% will not make a difference ever, when I'm rarely going under 50% during a dungeon run. Instead, I prefer taking pvp talents, because I do like to mix some pvp in the leveling, or damage dealing talents because I like to be able to dps too a bit. |

"Friendly" advice drives me up the wall sometimes.

unless you've changed it, I'm failing to see any error in your talent build...

Welcome to the World of Altcraft and the subsequent know-it-alls who probably have a healer alt which they think gives them the right to tell every other player what they are doing wrong even when they aren't doing anything wrong :)
Life was so much less full of useless prats when players had their main character and alts were somethign to fill time in...now it's so easy to level and gear everyone thinks they are some expert on every class going. Unfortunately there is no easy fix for kids stroking their epeen. |

You cannot stand still when prot pala forgot to use righteous defense or blood dk has no presence/frost/unholy presence on. You know they pay to play, but I'm there and I pay to have fun too, not to go on a wipefest.

Why are you inspecting his build in the first place, if everything is going just fine? :> And easily, sure he loses 6% potential healing, but that's not gamebreaking, it's still easy to heal 5mans without it. It shouldn't be your concern unless it becomes a problem to the group. Which it, most likely doesn't in 5man (especially leveling) environment. To be fair, what annoys me a lot is people commenting on other people's gear, spec or whatever BEFORE we've even started! Sure, if after a wipe or two someone is going 3k hps or 5k dps, it's good idea to check what is going on, but before the first pack, what's the point? On the other hand, your other example about Blood Presence is quite gamebreaking since they really cannot tank without it, and obviously something you should comment about. |

Tanks inspect healers to make a guesstimate from the gear they're wearing just how much they can handle. Healers inspect tanks to make a guesstimate from the gear they're wearing just how much damage they'll need to be healing through. |
|
I don't inspect !@#$ :(
Oki, I did inspect a tank once, it was a week after cata hit and I was in my first hc in my mix of blues and greens and my disc specc - was throne of tides and my tank was dropping like a fly on trash, and I felt there is nothing I can do to save him, my mana wouldn't have held through anything other than Heal spam, and evidently that was quite useless. Turned out the said druid (was a bear) was wearing a mix of cloth and wrath gear, some of it with intellect. Back to the OP, its not about not making comments at all to somebody when you see he could improve his/hers performance, its about how you do it. If you do it in a rude way in the party chat, to make sure you publicly humiliate the guy, evidently you will get back the same aggressive attitude you had in the first place. You can do a polite suggestion in whispers and apologize if that is offensive - some ppl are more touchy than others. |
Since when can shamans cure poisons? Unless it`s a typo and should say remove curses ofc... Unless i have a really retarded group i do more dps than healing in dungeons pre-80, sometimes even more dps than the actual damage dealers. There isn`t really that much dangerous stuff in there and most of it can be healed trough quite easy |

Well shaman could dispell all things but magic talanted in wotlk. Now everybody but priest can dispell 3 kind of debuffs. Ofc I think it is balanced since we have mass dispell. Only think I don't like is Body and soul will be nerfed and I won't be able to cure the poisons done by backstabing rogues (stupidest class in the game). And Dispel Magic clears 2 magics :P

Just had to step in and correct this. We spell Curses and Magic, not poisons Don't want any dps thinking I can pure poisons now do I :P |

Fixed, ppl, my mind must have been wondering places O.o
|
|
Hasn't happened to me often but when it did I always said 'okay, thanks for the advice, Ill change it when I can.'
That way they'll shut up and, when you're done with the dungeon/raid you can just think ' stinkers, no way I'm changing' and they can't touch you. *tum tum tum tum* |

Just try to ignore it the best u can...most ppl in the game act like they know whts best such elitests its annoying. whether ur doing dps, tank or healing people always want to tell u wht spells to use wht rotation and when to do it. i mean cmon unless u ask for help cant they just leave everyone else alone :/
