Hey!
I'm having some dps problem, i dont know why, because my gear is average good.
Anyways, i end up leaving the raid because i get so imbarassed by my dps, which is about 37k-40k..
I'm having my diseases up, rotation is Scourge strike x3, festering strike x1, death coil x3, use dark transformation when i can, and having my ghoul up at all times..
I should be at around 50-60k dps on madness, so i dont totally understand why my dps is so low :x

i had same kind of problem... then when P2 was about to start i realized pet was on passive o_o

Havent really been checking my pet, but i use gnaw whenever i can :p, and it is on assist.
I really haven't played alot on my dk, 14 days in lvl 85, so might be that im not "skilled" with it just yet, tho its very anoying laying on bottom on dps, right above or right beside the tank(s). It havent really been a problem, because i know all tactics and if we wipe im the last one do die, but it if the tank gets 2 impales, i usually blaim myself for not having enough dps..
Argh, im frustrated :(

The very best hardcore raiders were only doing little more than 30k in Firelands, has the gear really changed that much?

Remember on madness, you have 20% haste, 20% damage buff in most of the battle, not to mention you have the buff to cause spellweave which is doing quiet a lot of extra damage. If every dps is around 40k on 10man normal, you might only barely kill deathwing within the berserk timer.

And alongside what the guy above me mentioned you also have AoE. I got 58k dps (Had normal weapons then) on Madness last time so yeah the difference is huge.

Just bought my PvE ammy.. Tried normal ds, was on 45k on warlord, and 35kish on ultraxion, which is good i believe, might just have been the pvp ammy ruining the set :-) Haven't tried madness yet, will post about it later :)

I have to say i use mastery frost on madness normal 25man with my dk alt and it works out fine i were on 58k dps with 393 item lvl (crap weapons and trinkets ). With some proper gear you can make 60k+ easly. The thing is in general most frost dk's go for haste and then mastery. During the haste buff you kinda get a overkill. Try out mastery frost i'd say.

Also damage done on madness depends of the order you use. Since I.e on my case we always get rid of blue earlier, my damage will never be comparable to those, who swap blue out last and then when on normal madness we sometimes hit cataclysm, when tentacle is almost dead, so no double buff either :D

Madness isnt really a race of hitting the top meters, it's more important to follow the tactics to the max. normally I'm about 50k at the end-fight and maybe 45-60k in the fight.. But if i'd only wanted to top the meters id do about 60-70k.
