Idiot traders

If someone puts out multiple items, be it potions ,gems, enchants, epics, whatever.
It is not smart to down cut them by like 200% If there are 100 pots being sold at 10g per piece, you do not look cool by putting it at 2g per piece and there fore ruining it for everybody else. Same can be said for everything. To the people that do I ask you this, What the heck is your point? You make less money and your item would have been sold otherwise anyway. |

If a rod is priced at say 750 gold. I as a rod seller don't consider this a reasonable price, I have rods to sell, a certain profit I'd like to make. If I still make that profit and can sell the item at a to me more reasonable price; which let's say would be 375 gold. Why wouldn't I? I still make a plentiful profit without feeling like I over-priced my produce.
How that ruins anything any less or more then those selling 10 gold in materials for 1000 gold, simply because they pressed a button is beyond me. Not everyone is after as much gold as possible. Sometimes enough is just that, enough. |

Lets say that someone needs glyph: polymorph into turtle at AH. There are mats in AH for 20g total. Then there is that glyph for 999k at AH.
By your logic, everyone should only cut by 1 copper or they are idiots. Do you think that most profit would be made by undercutting into 999,998g 99s 99c or by selling at like 100g? |

Doesn't exist! :o But yeah OP is mad that the other person's auctions sold and his didn't. Learn to adapt, it's a free market, I'll list at whatever price I want and so will others. |

Hi i self confessed idiot trader here, i let you mugs play with monopoly money while im out having fun.
|

As already mentioned maybe the price before that was ridiculously high? If there is a guy selling a DVD for $200,00 and a guy selling that exact DVD for 40$, will he look stupid? |

If its a high turnover item, such as flasks, then buy them and relist them. There's money to be made here.

I'm not talking about retards selling rods for 700k.
What I'm talking about I'm sure everyone here has experienced it: You put 10 inferno rubys up for 100g ea. Retard goes and puts 10 rubys up for 50g. You put 10 flask of winds up for 60g, idiot goes and puts them up for 25g each instead. etc etc. |

I'm not talking about retards selling rods for 700k. 'Idiot gets his stuff sold in a few minutes while the 'savvy' merchant sits there staring at his goods.' :P As for the Inferno rubies, good for them, bastards are pricier than a !@#$%'s nipple most of the time, you can bet it's refreshing to see one for under 200g. Seems though, if you're putting rubies up for 100g -you're- the one who by your definition is the idiot, since on many servers you can expect to pay up to 500g each for cut infernos. (Well, on AD at any rate. But from what I've read it's very similar elsewhere.) |

I'm not talking about retards selling rods for 700k. In Silvermoon rubys sell for roughly 80-120g each. Carnelians around 30-40g each. |
|
|
Heh, I still regularly get over 200g for a ruby. Bless my server.

I am one of these such traders!!!! and i do it for this reason!!!! becuase you are QQing and emo raging :) i under all the gem markets on my server from 250g at peaks right down to 30g. huge under cuts just cause i get fun knowing people who think the only way to make a profit is undecut by 1 siler are emo raging.
Its actually a cheap way to gain enjoyment as all it costs is the AH deposit price! Who needs to make more gold anyways half of wow'er are millionaires now since cata |
I'm not talking about retards selling rods for 700k. except your profit margin may be different to say mine. i helpeed ruin my servers economy on inferno ruby and the cut ruby's becuase 300g plus for a main stat blue quality gem against a cross stat gem at max 35g is a joke. got me a way to get ruby quick and easy and a by product of somethign else i actually needed so ruined it. there comes a time when certain player try to encroach on something you stick to. in my case scrolls mostly. i had one player buy everything on a wednesday under a set price and relist it for more. problem is that player told a good friend i play with which was a bad idea. he told me we listed 1 of each ruby out of the hundreds we had waited for it to sell and relisted another. basically stopping him from selling gems for nigh on 4 hours. that players spending 150k on a wednesday. i bet it took him a bit longer this time to get taht back. personally what boils my urine are pplayers using bankalts to sell stuff on AH. i'd have more respect for people if they used main chars that i'd might of heard of i got a few atm on bankalts but as i dont know of their mains i generally undercut soon as they post. i would leave them be if i knew of their mains. peopel can undercut me as much as they like makes no odds to me i just do it back i dont need gold i jsut do it for somethign extra to do other than raiding. |

No, the idiot gets undercut and now the price is ruined till someone decides to reset it. |

I'm not talking about retards selling rods for 700k. If he's putting items up for a price that gives him a profit, then he's still getting a profit. Just because you want more, doesn't mean he's a moron, you could always find someone wanting more and you would be their moron. If he's putting up items for a price that's below mats cost, then buy him out. If it costs 15g to craft something that you know you normally sell for 75g, then why would you not buy all the stuff when it's up for 10g each? You don't need to spend time crafting, and you're getting an extra 5g profit for every item you will eventually sell. |
|
|
The idiot is the one who undercuts someone selling below the market price, not the one ruining your profits. |
|
|
Buy and re-list. AH101. |
|

Not sure if serious or trolling...
This.
And this. |
|

You say selling 100 pots for 10g a piece? That's 1.000 gold. Beginning players don't have 1.000 gold. They may be very happy that someone is selling them for 2g a piece.
I do it all the time on my main. I do a lot of mining and I get a lot of gems that I don't need. I post them cheaply at the AH in the hope some poor beginner will buy them. Unfortunately they always get bought by 1 person only and (probably) re-sells them. Sigh. |
|
Buy the moron up and resell for profit, broha. Everyone happy.
