Old thread reached it's limit: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2690870179 Following the happenings of the Wrathgate, the Hand of Vengeance dwells now more in a shadow of it's former self after its heavy losses. Now, after the Lichfall and following the Cataclysm, the second sundering, The Hand of Agony picks up where the Hand of Vengeance left of. In service of the Banshee Queen, with remarkable skill in apothecary and necromantic skills, in thrist for knowledge to retake the whole of Eastern kingdoms in the name of Sylvanas. The Hand of Agony is lead by the Head Apothecary Akru Deathblade, most famous for his work in Putress footsteps without falling down the same trap that his former mentor did. Having strong ties in Forsaken society and trying to build up the shattered Apothecary Society, he decided that the hand of vengeance work was to continue under a new order, based in Undercity. The Hand of Agony wishes to bring Agony, pain and suffering upon the alliance and any who stands against the forsaken The Hand, or the "Grasp of the Banshee Queen" is a military organisation as much as it is an apothecary and knowledge order under the Forsaken. Their main focus is currently to bring down anyone that oposes the Forsaken and to gain more knowledge doing so, to better aid the Forsaken's needs and to prove themselves that history regarding the Grand Apothecary wont repeat itself by having both Deathguards, Executor and cunning Spellweavers within the order aswell. The motto of the Hand is to bring the World to it's knees and make it BEG for mercy.. Just to DENY IT! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FAQ Q; Alright, seen you guys around, cool name and all.. But what EXACTLY are you about? A: The Answer is simple, really. Hand of Agony is Hand of Vengeance in Cataclysm, or that's how we chose to advertise and form the guild. We base ourselves mostly around Alchemy work but also have a strong military force and does a lot of RP pvp events aswell as a few rp pve (mobs, dungeons etc). Q: Sylvanas huh.. Doesnt that mean you are very anti-horde? A: Both yes and no. The beuty(lolwat) of Forsaken roleplay is that it is based around Free Will, and so is the guild. As long as you are loyal to Sylvanas, its all good. As for the Horde.. We are tense at best. Which only makes sense. Q: So as a Hand of Vengeance guild.. Do you own Northerend? A: No. We do not own anything. We are Forsaken, and share ALL Forsaken land with other Forsaken. We dont belive in claiming buildings or areas. And we downright frown on the idea of a certain guild or group of people owning something that was put in the game by Blizzard. Claiming is bad, all places currently in the game is for everyone (though basic logic and common sense have its play as well). Q: Promotion? A: Doesnt come for free. You have to be active and show us what you want to roleplay as. If you are a hunter wanting to be a dreadguard, you prove it by rping as one and dressing accordingly. And going to events will earn you your new rank far faster then just hanging around Undercity. Each event you go to will earn you a small amount of promotion points only visable to the officers. You will then be called to a second interview for each rank you advance in when its time. Making it all happen ICly so you cant predict when it is about to happen. Q: Why cant I join as a Dark ranger?! A: Cause we have decided to remove the rank alltogether for two reasons: 1 is that the class is often associated with a lot of confusion and drama. We do not shun dark rangers but we chose not to have them as part of our officer system. People can still join as dark rangers as elites or deathstalkers, but wont ever be officers. 2 is that we do not recruit more blood elves. Even if your blood elf is an undead icly or a death knight, we wont allow you to join as we already got way to many. BUT.. If you chose to use the Forsaken model and rp an undead blood elf that way, we will more then welcome you! We want to promote more use of the Forsaken as a race all together as well as the model of the forsaken male and female. |

Current officers of HoA:
http://www.argentarchives.org/node/89788 - Rank Clarification Head Apothecary, Guild leader: Akru Executor, Commander: Nochem Captains, Secondary commanders: -Position open- (Deathguards), Jorrick (Deathstalkers) Elite, Bestof the best or Squad leaders: Delvan and Ardmoro (Stalkers), Talarc and Synesh (Weavers), Ocultan (Apothecary). Only officers can promote to a higher more appropriate rank, if the person in question proved they earn it. If you got any question or feel a HoA member threated you badly, contact an officer. Do keep in mind that members of the Forsaken usualy are cruel and mean by nature and dont always get along with other races or even amoungst themselves! If you still feel you been threated badly, contact an officer if you cant resolve the issue with the person in question, we will deal with it swiftly and painless. We will also need some sort of proff on the event so be ready to provide that if needed, as we will have a neutral position in the question rather then picking sides. With our new ranking system and harder to get promoted we hope that people will give us feedback aswell as helping us helping them. We base the guild more on free will. A little on topic ooc info: Squad RP This old / new type of rp involves a smaller group of up to 5-6 players with an officer or elite (if available) leading them into smaller missions or rp pvp. Also, another question I get frequently and will add to the FAQ above soonish:
Q: Why do you accept dks on all races? And why not more elves? A: For a time, we had too many elven dks and it really got frustrating as such a minority of them actually could follow orders. They all were your generally wannabe badasses and tried to boss others around. Though we aint a military guild persay, even though we got a relatively large military section, we still demand orders to be followed from the superiors. If your elf is good at this, however, then you can give it a try to contact us. As for other races, it only makes sense that all types of undeads get a chance to serve Lordaeron and the Banshee queen and we want to offer some continuation and further character development for the Death knights who can't, for one reason or the other, not join their respective race or just don't feel at home there. A win win situation really. Of course, once an orc/troll/goblin/tauren/elf dk reaches above trooper, they cannot advance to elite as Elite is strictly forsaken only. |

Great fun from the moment I joined, and just as great a way to get into Forsaken RP. If you've never thought about RPing a possibly sadistic or just plain insane madman who gets thrills off resurrecting their fallen enemies as newfound allies and exploiting the dark and hidden side of magic without restriction or abusing the benefits of undeath on the battlefield, then clearly you don't know how fun it is!

Oh, a whole new thread for us! What should I write on my first post here...hm...
A little note then! : We will have a training event on Wednesday evening. We will be using a roll system, as it seems many of our members have done it with different rules or never done it at all. |

TOO SOON! YOU HAVE CREATED ANOTHER THREAD TOO SOON!
E: Also, I've been in the guild for about, what, 4-5 weeks now and so far I'd say this is perhaps one of the awesomest guilds in the realm. |

A little note then! : I missed the training, which was entirely my bad really. But I heard good things! And as we got some weekly events.. Hand of Agony weekly: Wednesday: Training session for members, friends and allies. /roll duels. The HoA roll system is currently under development but it won't be very complicated. It will, however, take into account your rank in the guild. Stay tuned! FRIDAY: Sermon to the Shadow, for everyone. Interested in the shadow or want to meet and see the forsaken social rp style? Drop by and give your respect, hang around to talk to rpers or set up meetings. It is as much a faithful as it is a social and political meeting between the Forsaken and their allies. All Horde members are welcome as long as they don't try to ruin the event with snappy comments or try to interfere. Makes sense no? The Sermons are held by Drexden but as his time is limited, there has been discussion of a second sermon earlier in the week. Weekends: We usually do rp pvp/pve events during weekend. If we aint in a larger campaign event of course. Usualy we try to have some Squad RP going on during the weekend where we send emissaries to work on the political front as well as some minor other mission like finding an artifact, fix equipment, get new herbs.. You get the idea. |

This roll system will also take your class in count, and it gives us a new way of roll fighting. When the system is done and tested by the officers, it will come offical info on our guild page at the Argent Archives. |

Oh dear, please no!
NO! I don't want to spend my otherwise lovely RP-events with a handbook that's telling me what can the other person do with this and that roll! Keep it simple, for dummies like me please! Also, the Rank thing affecting the duel. I'm (personally) against it, and my opinion wouldn't differ even if I'd be higher ranked in the guild. It breaks the very law of RP: You -can't- rise your character to be stronger than others if they don't want it. Take it, for example, if a player who roleplays a highly trained gladiator and joins Moklohn(or Hand of Agony, or any else guild), and his abilities in roll would be diminished only because he'd be in less high rank in the guild. I might have misunderstood the point of this post, but if the roll thing is basically what I just said there, I'm against it. Also, bump. |

Wednesday: Erm... By rank? I mean, if an apothecary is supposed to hold back, sure, but hopefully you're not going to make it that an officer HAS to win against a recruit, that's a li'l posh imo. EDIT: Just realised maybe even apothecaries don't have to hold back. They have potions and dangerous liquids, why shouldn't they have a chance to win? |

Don't worry, the roll system is going to be pretty easy to understand.
