Just a SMALL criticism. Can you please post these forum addresses to the launcher load screens because i do find it a slight nause trying to find these updates when the game versions change. Overall though, glad to see the x64 project working :)

I can't post in the US forums, but I noticed this post ( http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3988300405?page=52#1022 ):
Prior to the current 64bit version (4.3.4 (15505)), I can not recall experiencing any issues whatsoever with the previous 2 patches and 64bit updates. As of late, the occasional minor stutter (frame jump) is my only concern. This is mainly noticeable whilst flying across a continent, such as Kalimdor. It could also be related to the patch, but who am I to speculate. I've been seeing exactly the same issue. Doing the good ol' removal of WTF, Interface and Cache (thus disabling all addons) didn't matter. Running the game with the 32 bit client, however, does matter: no more stutters. So I'd suspect the 64 bit client. Unfortunately, I can't communicate this back to the US poster (I hope a US reader can), but it seems that this is the same issue. Practical: Macbook Pro i7 with 8G. If there's anything I can do to debug this, let me know. |

There's definitely something odd going on with the 64bit client. For the last couple of days my latency has been high to very high, regardless or server or add ons. Switching back to 32bit seems to have resolved the issue, though I probably need a couple of more days to know absolutely sure.
One thing I noticed when trying to figure out what was causing the latency was that the 'netstat -n -p tcp -b' command showed two wow-64.exe processes connecting to the port 3724 (usually I only see one... i think) and with different target IP addresses. Could this be related to the issue? Edit: nop, latency is still high, and the 32bit client also has two wow.exe connected to different IP on the port 3724. |

Solved my problem ( http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3312962371?page=20 ). It was the tracking of one or two achievements with lots of items (see also http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1622870439#12 , for example). Turning those off solved the lag/hickups.
Few things that pointed me to that, apart from the above link: - turning off/removing addons didn't help. - the stutter seemed to increase over time. - it appeared to (starting to) show in the 32 bit client as well. So while a different problem, there is still a problem with this. Can't tell if it's only the Mac client, and whether it affects the 64 bit version worse. But since the problem appeared to increase over time (and I mean days, as in quitting and later playing again showed an increase in stutter), I'm inclined to say it has something to do with caching results (on disk). Still a bug though; I hope Blizzard can fix it. |

I am unable to connect using the 64b client. When I launch the game and login, I just get a popup telling me it was unable to connect with a link to http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/battlenet-basic-connection-fixes
Nothing I try solves the issue apart from having to use the 32b client. |

Noob question: I've just upgraded from 32bit home to 64Ultimate, what benefits does the 64bit client give over the 32bit? The biggest reason to upgrade to 64-bit is because 64-bit can use more RAM. Search google for 64-bit vs 32-bit and you should find more info, since there are some other pros and cons with 64-bit over 32-bit This is also a good read from microsoft themself: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions |
Updated for patch 4.3.4 It is probably a stupid question, but if you toggle 'launch 32-bt client', wouldnt that usually mean that you are launching a 32-bit client, and not a 64? Just finding it confusing to toggle it. I'd be less confused if it said 'launch 64-bit client' . Anyways, when I toggle it and log on, and then check in the corner what it says, it says x86. Only when I open the Wow-64.exe file in the World of Warcraft folder I get the x64 release. :S Also sorry if someone said something about that already, I honestly was just too lazy to look through all those pages. |
Updated for patch 4.3.4 You're supposed to leave the field blank isn't it obvious that if "Launch 32bit client" is toggled that 32bit version will be launched? Just leave the tickbox empty and you'll get 64bit version. |

Hi
After repairing i get still de message "Blizzard updater failed with an internal error. Please contact Blizzard technical support." (I have an iMac 64 bit) My beta version of Pandoria had the same error, but after the above mentioned repair action it worked again. What should i do next for my normal WoW-version? |
