i had some problems with updating in the past becouse i forgot to remove the 64 bit files first.
so i made a bat file to remove it for me. for those that are not very fimiliar with bat files: create new text document and rename it to anything you want as long as you change the .exe extension to .bat NOTE: the .bat file MUST BE in your wow root directory(where wow.exe is located) for this to work, you can create a shortcut to other places if you want :) open it with a text editor and add the following lines

do you have your graphic card drivers installed?
usualy when that msg appears it means that the game doesn't recognize your card becouse it's not installed correctly. do you have any idea what kind of graphic card you have and wether you installed the the latest drivers? for Nvidia cards: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk either pick your model/OS from the list or choose option 2 where it install an plugin that will auto detect your card and show the proper driver for AMD(ATI) card you can download a tool that will auto detect your card and show the proper drivers from here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx or post your card model and brand and we can help you locate the proper drivers |

I keep getting randomly disconnected, I don't know whether this is an Issue with 64 bit WoW or not, gonna test 32 bit quickly.
UPDATE: It seems that 64 bit disconnects me after a certain amount of playtime, I don't know why it does but 32 bit doesn't. |

oO just found this x64 patch... *downloads & installs*

I'm wondering wether we will be required to remove the 64-bit files again when the 5.x patch goes live?
Well since the MoP beta has native 64-bit support, I was wondering if it would still be necessary.
Just 2 be safe i'll just remove them the day before the patch goes live . . . . tnx anyway Tedster |

"Where’s the new 64-bit client?
The 64-bit client is included with patch 5.0.4. The game will detect if you are on a 64-bit system and launch the 64-bit version of the game automatically. " I did it, accidentaly deleted Wow-64.exe... beacuse I read somewhere on forum that I should do that and now ofc. I can't run my WoW and Repair it beacuse there isn't such Tool anymore + Launcher doesn't redownload it, where can I download 64 Bit files ? |
@Bland, yup I downloaded Wow-64.exe from this thread, unfortuantely it isn't updated yet :(
the launcher updated my 64bit exe, the one at the start of the thread is for 4.3.4.15595, if you have downloaded this then you might need to repair to get the new one back again.
