Yea another ACTA discusion,im sorry if you guys dont give a damn thing for our internet,but please acces http://www.avaaz.org/en/index.php and sign the petition,let us be free,let us dowload without beeing arested or other thing.Do this,dont let them win,let your kids live ourhappines with free internet without beeing tracked out for evry site we entered.Dont make let it be that way.

Maybe you are one of the few masochists out there who are puppies to the goverment. And when did "free" material became "illegal"? No sane person would actually want to get punished for their gaming freedom. The thing that some sites like thepiratebay give us free stuff is awesome. Why would you take that away from us? |
You would not get arrested for downloading, unless you are downloading illegal material and the OP specifially said about being arrested.
Downloading patches for WoW, game clients you have paid for, music from Itunes would still be fine. Downloading copyrighted material from Youtube etc would not. |

Well, Allyscout, I'm not sure what your motives are, but do you support ACTA? Would you be totally fine, if they monitor everything you say on the web, or watching carefully your every single move? You must be the only person in the world who would do such a thing.

No I do not support it due to the reasons of what it could do to normal internet activity. But condoning ACTA does not mean I support copyright. |

Youtube,facebook,lunastorm,thepiratebay. And god knows what more, every blog that has some copyrighted material on it, goes down. Lets say, you have a baby, you film her having some fun, but then she walks for the first time! And you have a blog on the internet, you ofcourse share this with peoples watching ur blog and if theres lets say, Queen - bicycle (just a random song) is playing in the background, this whole blog would be taken down, and so will happen with every website if this goes thru, without court or anything. Just watch what happened with Megaupload.... |

I don't think that ACTA wants to go against Google that is 4x more richer than the whole USA.´ Also Just watch what happened with Megaupload.... This has nothing to do with ACTA. |

Tbh I suppose both acta, sopa and pipa.
The only people who are against it are those who profit off it and get music and games for free when they should be paying for it. |

i dont like acta, the reasons is that they can take down sites like youtube for people using a copyrighted song in a gameplay videos and such :< acta would mean they can arrest me for using a nice song in a pvp video as i have understood it.
and what happened to megaupload just proves they dont need SOPA or PIPA or any other kind of act to take down filesharing sites, their probaly in the process of tracking down people who used megaupload since they got all the IP addresses |

One of the main reasons people download is because media is too expensive. Most of my albums cost me around £15, when you consider that the artist(s) who wrote and performed the songs get only a tiny fraction of that, you realise that there are greedy record companies out there.
Artists have to make their money selling merchandise and touring these days. All these piracy bills will just mess up the internet and screw-over music fans everywhere. |

If you disagree with peoples here you have no clue of what you'r talking about, nor do i think you live in america. I do not live there aswell BUT, I watch loads of youtubers who discuss, i go around on websites reading, and all you do is jump on "illegal is bad end of story" trying to be Mr correct new plz feed me cookies. If you know the american government and know that they passed thru with "NDDA", read up on it cuz i wont explain it but its horrible, you don't want anything else that you know can ruin your internet to go thru either. Some etc youtubers live on that, take Swifty for example or someone else who makes money out off it, then some !%*%#*@*! with billions of dollars buy Obamas sign and gets his bill thru cuz it got no concern to Obama obviously so they can lalalala around on internet and pretty much CONTROL you. So my point is, please read before you throw out troll comments you think is a win, these acts like SOPA or PIPA or ACTA, they all have one goal "Control internet" how they do it is not important, but we all know, if they go thru your freedom of speech, poff gone, spreading music poff gone. And dont think they won't go against Google, they will go against everything in their way and they got the money, if you say "no they don't" then come with proof alright. Now go do something and stop hang around here! |
