Neat things to do as a Warlock? (BG PvP)

My main is a Rogue, I just decided leveling this Warlock (Was 61 on Sunday, been sitting there for a while).. And as I understand 90% of this community say Affliction and Warlocks in general is bullcrap and bad for BGs. I want to play a underdog class like this and do my best to succeed. (While I know Affliction is far from being underdog in arena, I am thinking more about BGs etc)
Well, I was wondering if anyone wanted to share a few of those small things separating you from the others in BGs, 1v1 or arena's! =) An example of this (coming from a Rogue PoV) could be like bombing CC on partners or popping Preparation for a 2nd kick after being faked, predicting stuff and cloaking/vanishing it, etc. So that's neat things I know about Rogues, now I'm ready to listen to Warlock things. =) I personally believe the portal I just got in like 78 is pretty neat in itself, never played with such a mechanic before. |
Portal a nuke chain from melee's up onto higher ground so they waste their cd's (WSG flag room example). Also running off a ledge with portal up, get them to follow you and portal straight back up. Fearing everything and dotting / cursing appropiatley to undermine an enemy teams ability and confidence. Watching UA get dispelled = BAM. Neck and neck with a dps, your both on 20% just juked an interrupt, dot's up and drain life tank him to death (with demon armor). |

If you usually play BGs with mates, and one of them happen to be a healer then I'd say go PvE and use PvE gear aswell, and nuke the living **** out of people :) That's what I do on my wlock atleast, usually top dmg done and killing blows most at the time aswell.
Personally I just start out with the healer, if there is one in the crowd, Immo+corrupt+conflag, to stop the healer from dispelling Immo. Nuke as much as possible until they are dead, use a fear if needed. Remember to make the most use of our portal, as they are amazing in BGs. If not, then I would prob recommend Affli, since it has the biggest surv. of the three speccs. |

I will stay Affliction with or without a healer tho, I enjoy 1v1s as well, duels or in BGs I just found one neat thing: Portal proved handy once more. Outside of Alliance tunnel, there's a roof! I placed portal there and DoTed everyone fighting in range of it, or jumped down and DMGed stuff. Hunter came a couple of times to nuke me, didn't end well for him :D |

I would seriously recommend you getting pally with a healer in your guild so you can bring him along with you, at least while you gear up.
Or if there's already pre-made groups going, try and get in on it so you'll have fun getting your honor :) If you enjoy 1v1 then i'd also suggest having a demo / destruction pvp off-spec just to play now and again because affliction does get a little bit dry after a while and there are moments where you just feel like completely nuking the $%!^ out of something. Just in your own time though. Both specs are good in duels, more noticeably vs melee (which most of the time eat affliction warlocks). |

I enjoy the little things, like being allowed to freecast, holy !@#$balls the fun you can have when popping your damage macro and dotting EVERYTHING in sight!
Also, taking on 2 players at the same time and downing both of em and then proceed to cap mines by yourself is j!zztastic :D |

I'm starting to play this lock more seriously and I'm so bloody enjoy playing destruction.
The spec has a flow, and playing with succy gives you even more cc. Love making melees cry with my <3 succy <3. Plus, the succy knockback is a awesome tool in AB/EOTS, taking people off the ledge. And I cannot even express how amazed I am with lock class mechanic and tools. Every time I use portal it makes me wanna !@#. Awesome class. Love it! |

If you are going to pick up the flag in any BG like Twin Peaks/WSG, place your portal the way you are going to go, then proceed to take the flag, use soulburn and portal and bam you are suddenly far away from the enemies + a little speed increase.
Imo most of the neat things to do as a warlock comes from using the portal in different ways. Also always cast Curse of Tounges on the enemies healers and casters, they'll hate you for that. If you play destruction the thing **#%!oth mentioned is really funny. Lure a player to the ledge, stun them close to the edge and then knockback with succu to see them helplessly flying down to their death >:). I am sure I got more funny tips, but this is what was on my mind atm. |

Yeah.. In BG.. dot everything. Get alot of damage done but NO killing blows. Basically avoid any 1v1 situation because you WILL lose. Just dot dot dot fear and kill off those with low hp.
However forget Rogues, Warrs, DKs. they will go immune and kill you regardless of how much hp they got. |

locks are one of the best classes to do bgs with along with frost dks are the n1 damage dealers ( dks are first ) they have a lot of pressure and i find impossible to win only good unholy dks and rogues try to make focus macros to cc more the healer or a second dps , place you portal in a clever spot and use it only after the opponent uses his gap closer ability and many more things but most important is that you have to practise a bit :P, and dont get dissapointed when you are getting killed easily while you have no gear.

One thing I particularly like is spamming felfire on a target (nearly dead or flag carrier) desperately trying to run away. Cast curse of exhaustion on them and you can easily keep up.
Seeing results of disrupting an enemy healer is really satisfying too. Cast curse of tongues on them, dot them and interupt their heals and all of a sudden your team starts to do some real damage. |
