Sorry to add to the clutter of the forum, but I've been trying to install the patch for almost 2 days and I can't get past this message and about 5% of the progress bar.

I've been reading a lot of other threads and I've tried everything that has so far been blue posted such as deleting TEMP folder, running as administrator and running repair and still I'm stuck at square one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you please try to make sure there's no background applications interfering with the optimisation?

Hi. I've followed the instructions on that link and it's still doing the same thing. I forgot to say in my previous post that the downloader constantly casuses my laptop to freeze and I can't close the launcher and have to just turn off the power :(

Any other suggestions or should I just wait it out and try again another day?

Try deleting the Cache, Data/Cache and Updates folders.

i got mine to work after hard time on phone with blizzard and stress im running on windows xp and basically all i did was:

1) go to control panel
2) load system up
3) click advanced tab
4) under performance click settings
5) then click advanced tab
6) close to the bottom you will see a button called "change" click that
7) at the top of the thing that open'd you will see your drives click the drive you have installed wow on and check customize size
8) the top numbers you wanna put 3000 and the bottom box you wanna put 5000
9) click OK on all boxes open then restart your computer and launch world of Warcraft i am free to be messaged if needed

hope this helps you guys if not then i cant think what else to suggest :/

I highly doubt it; odds are slim they're still experiencing the issue and checking the thread over two months later.
