Tank lounge 1: Here we go!

Hello there. Saw this topic in the US forums, so i'd like to find out if it will work here in EU as well. We do have a similiar thread at the warrior forums called @today, but i'd like to create one here as well.
Welcome to the tank lounge. This thread is a thread for us tanks to get a chance to meet each other and relax. This is the place to post about your adventures in tanking, vent about dps/healers, or just chat. We are all friends here, so if you have any disagreements please take them outside and please please follow the forum rules and code of conduct. |

Hiya, my venting;
I hate when I do more DPS whilst tanking ( at 85 ) then the DPS, when they are better geared then me. Or when I have to do EVERYTHING For them. I just want a nice run but no... Don't interrupt Azshara... Yes, wipe us on a simple fight... >.> (I'm looking at you... Mages!) |

Hiya, my venting; Hey you can go the other way.. because the damage on the new heroics is so low you can run them in dps gear to smack the dpsers even harder on the meters.. Better this than getting frustrated. |

I did a Zul'Gurub (Non-timed troll heroic) dungeon today. I actual forgotten how much fun it can be to do a dungeon that have just a little challenge to it, the Hour of Twilight dungeons are soooo boring, so it was a nice chance of pace.
Got myself killed early one at the High Priest Venoxis (lizard boss with the poison on the ground) fight, had completely forgotten about his poison breath and move to slowly. Talk about feeling like a n00b. Anyway we ran back and kicked his scaly !@#, only the mage died, stepped on the green poison. No one complained about the wipe and everyone seem to actually have a good time. We did the rest of the dungeon in good spirit, no drama, no screaming, just fun. It is so nice to do a dungeon with good people some times. Makes me feel so much better. That is what I did today in game. Hope that was at least some what on topic with this post. Ohh one question if anyone know. Will we be getting any more new dungeons before the panda invasion or are we stuck with Hour of Twilight dungeons until the expansion? |

Hiya, my venting; I think me doing 23k dps as blood in LFR ultraxion was pinnacle of my LFR raiding. I did beat most of the dps, and other tank died early on, so had to work double, beat dps on their job as well... was ever last time I queued as blood to LFR. Let alone madness, where I keep getting 35k+ as tank... ,makes you think what dps does ... On 5 man I do not mind if I do more since vengeance is a powerful thing. In 5 man I am actually focusing on max dps to try to compete with dps on their own game ! And as about post above, had similar experience on ZG today on my paladin tank. Been a while I had been there and was quite a bit of fun. DPS was bad, and people were hopeless, but no one complained, when they got killed or some delay happened. Even the bad mouthing shaman, who always cursed didnt really feel hostile as it seemed just his way of talking. "where the f- you go?" - "You only need 2 bosses.# - "ah ok, lol, my bad" - kind of guy. Had great time. Also yesterday on ZA - didnt really wipe, but people died occasionally and no one badmouthed or yell gogogo! I liked it :) |
Ohh one question if anyone know. Will we be getting any more new dungeons before the panda invasion or are we stuck with Hour of Twilight dungeons until the expansion? We will probably be stuck with these. If blizz isnt making a new raid before mop, then they should atleast make a couple of 5mans in my opinion, but i doupt they will. |

Yesterday i did a random HOT hc due to satchel bonus. At Azshara fight the tank ring drops, i didnt need it cuz i allready got it but thats besides the point.
Grp was made out of SP hunter and DK all of them had lower dps then me hunter was pulling 6k So rings drops and hunter needs. I ask him why he needed on tank item and he replied: "im new to wow my friend sayd to need on items with higher ilvl then mine because they are better". I will not say more but iff this is the new generation of wow gamers that blizz wants to acaparate by dumbing down the game and homogenization of classes/skills then cba to play no more. These players will quit wow anyway when they will go with their tank geared hunters and wouldnt be able to kill first boss in whatever raid or worse wouldnt be able to complete a heroic iff 5 of hes kind meet in LFD. |
Or they will simply wait until the encounter gets so nerfed that they will be able to kill the boss as a tank-geared hunter. |

I would say troll as well. They are cool and I just don’t like the sight of orc in plate armour, but don’t undear have a better racial ability than both of them? So rings drops and hunter needs. I ask him why he needed on tank item and he replied: Whey can hunters even roll need on a STR tank item. That just make no sense. |
Will of the forsaken isnt that usefull in pve. Trolls passive health regen is kinda cool, and the extra attack speed is also kinda kewl. Orcs on the other hand have axe racial, stun reduction and blood fury. But i dont really care about racials that much, only looks matter for me. |

Just came out of an lfr where my cotank was a paladin that constantly taunted the mob while doing 7k dps threatcapping dpsers...
So I went a bit ballistic and equiped dps gear for the 2 faceless bosess. Yor'shaj still does not go through bloodshield even in this gear.... |

Yahh I finally got my
 Annihilan Helm from Well of Eternity. Only too 20 tries before it doped and naturally both the two !@#$%^ plate DPS decided to need on it. Blizzard please find some way to punish morons that roll on tank gear, that there tank need or make it so the people playing the spec the gear is for ALWAYS win it. Anyway I won so that made my day. Now of to roll need on every DPS item I can (yes I'm joking) |

All I can say. I hate LFR so darn much. And the protector token HAS TO BE BUGGED SOMEHOW... Ive been trying to get the head for my setbonus really. But never drops. Been constantly farming this item for over 1.5 month and NEVER seen it drop once. The Protector token overall is bugged. Loads of people claim that it's actually bugged. Wish that blizzard could take a look at this matter cause it's getting really frustrating..

LFR today we had nothing BUT Protector tokens, just a shame over 75% of the raid needed them! Honestly I have never seen SO many shamans in one run.
