Well, best tanking racials for horde. about 2k more hp and an aoe stun is pretty awesome. I really love taurens 1h + shield animations, since they dont spin around like lot of the other races do, when they do a special attack. The only downside i can think of right now is that i have to dismount every time i go into a building, since i cant fit trough the door.

But yeah, they look awesome in t13 atleast.

You can't block/dodge/parry while casting... so all those bloods you think will be nice and stunned chomp on your nadges for 0.5s and you die.

Moral of the story is: My guild has quite a good reason why I am not allowed to kite XD

Well i do have shockwave, so i could just stun them, and then stun them for 2sec more with warstomp?

Yeah I guess that could work if you timed it well and no diminishing returns on the stun? Can't remember if that happens or not :P

Anyway today I have had the most fun I think for a while. Today I did the old heriocs which still dropped blues.

It all started yesterday when someone in my guild was bored. Like many guilds I expect lots of our players are having a break, 6months of Deathwing and summer has caused lots of players to take a holiday. I myself went on a mini one although I mostly just migrated to other games.

Anyway I pounced on this opportunity to do some achievements I haven't managed to get yet. We got 3 people together and did "faceroller" and "soul power" of Wotlk. I am convinced we also did the ghoul explosion one but apparently not... Then we did some cata ones; mostly the off meta ones, so we gathered 5people together all of whom had nothing better to do or were aggressively guilt tripped into it and went to ZG for the achieves and mounts. We then did ZA cos one person still didn't have the mount for some reason and did all those achieves as well.

Roll on today and the mount person /w me with "lets continue where we left off!" so off to all the End Time dungeons we went with a slightly different group and proceeded to do all the achieves bar 1 "lazy eye". Now as some people may know you can reset your dungeons by random queueing and hoping to get one your locked to. In the mean time of 15mins between each of those as we aggressively queued we decided to finish off the Glory of the Cata hero meta for those without it yet. Thus we cleared every single old herioc and STILL never managed to get into well of eternity. Random needs to be fixed. We did finish 3 peoples meta off and got someone down most of the way.

More importantly it was fun doing things as a team again, none of this raiding which we have grinding for so long but a small group doing silly things to try and get some achievements. Some of the bosses were just a nuke fest but most still required some form of tactic in terms of finishing the achievements and those were the most fun. Plus it was nice to revisit the old content and remember how hard it used to be and how much CC was needed, now chatting away idly on TS as things around us died of fear.

Anyway I just wanted to share in case some people are lacking in things to do that some achieves are still hard and fun to do with buddies.

EDIT: also for those of you who might be interested I have 20kills of all the end bosses (give or take) in every hc dungeon except ZA and ZG where I have 40... No idea why this is and I think that's rather strange since I am sure I ran the old Hc's much more then that!

How come solo tanking Ragnaros has been seen something out of order that every time you mention it anywhere, somewhere - people ask either screen-shot or widen eyes and say : "Did not know it was even possible". It was not possible back on days as HP-pools and gear was different, but now it is quite fun tactic to use.

And I feel sad that Ragnaros not THE end boss, as his fight surely would have been worthy equal to Arthas, Kil J and Thun.

And YOU, the tauren, Lefrena ! Dungeon statistics ? :) 42 and 45 in ZA and ZG and all on others ~25. Note that this is only one DK *grins*. You see I really don't play outside the swirling portals. If I don't raid, you wont see me fishing, picking herbs or camping rares. And if you ever spot me doing a daily, then its probably because Blizzard cheated !

I started to play this game because of Stratholme, Black Rock Spire and Scholomance knocked me off the feet and 1st summoning of majordomo dropped my jaw. There are weirdoes like me. So when I am on idle and just chatting with folks in-game. I still go to some old place. Like Black Temple, Sunwell. And luckily I've found a afriend, who is as much lost in past as me, so we 2 man sunwell, do pundle of Onyxias on 10 alts, and then go on our merry ways to solo Black Temple.

Which reminds me my round is unfinished for this week :o

Blizzard has given us plenty of content, but its from us to play the game in a way that we enjoy it. Blizzard cannot do all that for us.

Oh I raid as well. I just did some lols with guildies and the statistics bit of my screen where it says "You defeat boss number 9 for over 9000 kills" popped up and was surprised at the numbers :P

I also have a friend who likes old content, and by that I mean the phoenix mount so guess what we 2man! I also do lots of soloing for mounts and also since Open Raid (shameless plug!) is so amazing loads of Ulduar runs too.

I also agree that solo tanking raggy is completely viable, I struggle in P4 with the roots thing when I'm solo but having a DPS taunt or being super quick on moving makes it easy. Raggy is ridiculously hard compared to DS we only test new raiders in FL really, can't test much in the stack up and spam raid that is DS.

Raggy roots I sorted by few simple things :

1. Swiftness potion
2. Yelling at priests : "Can you grip or not ?"
3. Yelling more at priests : " I am not a Houdini to blink across room...... "
4. Capslocking at priests : "GRIPPPPPPPPPP ?"

Other hand you are a druid, it is easy for you. Just sprint middle of cast between his leg on other sides and hop smoothly into roots. :>

I wanted DPS to taunt too, but 98 wipes later I found that in my raid team healers are the wise ones, so I plotted rooting tactic around them. :)

Oh and my raid team incl. me ever went there as newbies last time. I mean 10 clueless ducks and it was fun place. Funny this week I have been waiting more our FL raids than DS. This doesn't sound right :>

Hum, considering my post a few pages ago .. I'm still not completely sold on my DK yet for the next expansion.

I might consider bringing my druid off the shelf and seeing how she plays in beta. Although I've read they're doing a bit too much damage right now - I'm more interested in rotation & tools.

Next time I'm told I can't solo tank madness normal on my alt, I'm coming to this thread to cry. I did this back on 12th december for our first kill and now people think it's impossible with a 25% nerf and far higher dps :( I seem to get laughed at and vilified for even suggesting that tanks can use their brain and do the job of themselves + a mindless buffoon at the same time and do a better job.

Sad paladin is crying gently into his pillow.

Next time I'm told I can't solo tank madness normal on my alt, I'm coming to this thread to cry. I did this back on 12th december for our first kill and now people think it's impossible with a 25% nerf and far higher dps :( I seem to get laughed at and vilified for even suggesting that tanks can use their brain and do the job of themselves + a mindless buffoon at the same time and do a better job.

Because pugs are stupid and think they know better than me with their 8/8 normal after the 25% buff, now I'm no godly talented player and should I have not quit the game I would have been 8/8hc at somewhere between 10 and 15% buff, but they still think they're better and that's fine I won't say anything, but when they insist I'm wrong because they know better, I feel like hurling myself out the window.
