Will try it. But I'm not gonna go bragging I'm gonna quit WoW for something unproven. If the game is good, I'll quit wow.
Edit - I won't lie, if MOP is good too and I'd have to choose, I'll choose MOP in an instant. As opposed to most MMOs that tried to beat down WoW, Blizzard delivers. |

I can understand your point, but I grew tired of WoW.. And this game looks bloody promising.
So instead of spending my money on MoP and future subscriptions, I shall pay once for GW2. (Excluding expansions and such) |

I can understand your point, but I grew tired of WoW.. And this game looks bloody promising. Yes, you pay once. And once you hit the maximum level you will be bored to death within few weeks. The game has no raids, it has no gear progression, it has 8 dungeons. The only way how to get more content is to buy xpacs. You will probably end up paying more money than in wow. Anyway I am definitely not going to play this. The combat system is extremely simplistic compared to other MMOs and in general I dislike many design choices they made. |

I'll be playing MoP alongside GW2. There's no reason to only play 1 or the other unless you're extremely tight on money.
Looks like someone doesn't want to stray from an incredibly boring MMO style and try something new. Can I just ask, where's the fun in gearing up and raiding when you could be doing any content in the entire game world with a reasonable challenge whilst meeting people and actually... talking/playing with them. It's almost like you prefer standing in cities doing nothing except for raids 1-3 times a week with a very little chance of making new friends instead of... the opposite of that. |

Why did you make this thread when you obviously knew it would become a flamebait? :P

There are reasons. For example, time. Another example, one might not like the style of the other game. See? Two reasons in a flash
First of all, whoever plays a boring game and complains about it is an idiot. Any person with half a brain would unsubscribe and don't waste his/her life with boring games. Secondly, someone who CHOOSES to stay in the city and only run a raid a week should not say that's all you can do in this game. Unless he/she is also an idiot As for GW2, show me a trial version and I'll try it. No trial version = sucking beyond imagination game |

I think GW2 is gonna be great and i'm really gonna try that.
It looks great from the screenshot.. They have really new idea's which they bring to the MMO genre and its relatively cheap to try. :) When i try GW2.. its no WOW. Have to make choices here can only spend my money once. I'm not gonna try SWTOR, heard to many complaints of people. Maybe when its more mature. |

Take my word (and I was right for 6 years in a row now ...)
The dual pack of WOW (subscription) and Diablo 3 (free after buying it and RMAH to feed the subs), will pretty much own this market place. Diablo 3 is different enough to not call it an MMO or WOW copy and has a FREE gear chase with real valued money attached to it. Dungeon crawler at your own pace/RL friends play. "My pants are worth 15 Euro's !" will be the next hot thing in on line play. People will be bragging they earned 100 times the money they really have (just like poker...) The competition is (again) 5 years too late. The gap is only getting bigger in 2012... |

Take my word (and I was right for 6 years in a row now ...) Depends on your ideea of what a game should be. While i do agree with you its very cool to actually earn money from a game. Some dont want to just grind away to find certain items to sell. We play a game to have fun not waste our life next to a pc monitor hoping for certain pixels to drop. The items that will actually earn you money will probably very rare, and knowing blizz you will have to grind your soul for it. You may earn 15 bucks from selling a 1 handed sword but your time spent cant be replaced. On topic : Yes,will definetly try GW 2, college + part time job takes away allot of my time and GW 2 casual playstyle is perfect for me and besides that it looks damn good !!!! |

Why did WoW start the forums if they knew it would become a flamebait? Your question is not valid. :D |
|
|
Why would you quit WoW? Gw2 is free.. personally I'll be playing both.
|
|
|
I'll be playing both, but have to see if it is any good before committing myself..
|
|
|
Well, I just bought my new PC so I'm a little short on money for the time being, besides when I got GW2 I know I shall play it dead so perhaps there is some WoW in the future but that'll take a long time.

It's a different game, just like Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft are different games. It's fine to pass on GW2, but at least do it for a different reason :p |
