Why let US have all the fun right?!
Taken from the US forum. This week, the topic of discussion is: advance pvper who wants an edge in having a 3rd eye in pvp. http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info19148-Icicle.html Adds enemy cooldowns to their nameplates! This way you can have a heads up on what to expect in terms of cooldown. Want to know when that priest is going to fear you? When the warrior is ready to bladestorm? What about us pesky rogues. Kick / blind / vanish / perp / shadowdance you name it. It tracks it! http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/battlegroundtargets Shows all battleground enemies. Simple 'Enemy Unit Frame' for battlegrounds. It adds a small raid unit frame showing what spec / class they are. Very helpful for RBG target call outs and healers. |

Best way is to make premade or else you'll be pretty much frustrated by :
"fighting in middle" "fighting far from flag" "blood dks that don't want to be fc" "stealthers not killing glaives" "people expecting from bunkers to defended on their own". Joys of random bgs. |

Since I have been gearing up another alt for PvP recently, I found that one of the best ways to gear up is to queue with a few friends. Preferably having all three roles covered, someone to heal, do damage and in that rare case that you need a person to take the hits for you, a tank :)
Overall though, I feel that the best way to gear is to not fuss about it ^^ The more fun I have, the faster it feels like the gear is rolling in. Lets hear what you all feel are the best techniques to gear up fast in PvP, do remember to keep in mind the rules of this discussion though :p |

Spam the WSG/TP Call to Arms with a group of good players. It doesn't get much faster than that.

First of all, make sure you have 4k honor points and 4k justice points when you hit 85.
So you have a decent start. Buy honor gear, convert justice points to honor, buy more gear. The rest you buy craftables. It gives a decent start, then just join BG's and expect to die lots, don't go in expecting anything else. Try and help out your team, you may not do a lot of damage but you could help in stunning/ccing, silencing targets to make it easier for others to kill them. Don't go out on your own, stay with others. |

Ding 85, make a topic about how IMBA random BG's are at 85. Get flacked at then go back and enjoy getting ganked in BG's until you've obtained all the gear.
After which you can enjoy carrying the newly dinged 85's with 0 resilience gear. I enjoy levelling BG's more. To be honest it's actually more balanced than 85 Randoms. The gear difference is atrociously huge between a newly dinged 85 and one which has been 85 for quite some time. Although this can be bypassed! First of all, make sure you have 4k honor points and 4k justice points when you hit 85. ^^ This. It's vital that you do this if you wish to start grinding BG's as soon as you hit 85. Then the fun almost starts immediately, bar all the bloody Bots you'd have to deal with. |

The blue speaks the truth
Treat it like a chore and it becomes a chore, far enough you'll be out geared and nuked in many situations but try do something where you make a difference, for example putting slows on flag carriers or ccing the healer capping the flag in ab while everyone else is fighting, that way you get things towards battlemaster achievements as you gear. |

As they always say in the American football movies “Defence is the best offence”
Defending a base grants 5 10 15%? More honour. Don’t forget to do your weekly BH for a chance to get some high end pvp gear. If you have some friends around you, you could always deck yourself out in pve gear and go crazy, you may drop faster, but you might kill them faster too! If you really want to crawl under people’s skin, roll a rogue / druid and jump people who are low and quickly make a get away! Who ever said what you can’t see can’t hurt you has clearly never met a rogue! I feel we need another “Players vs the blues rbg” to have some fun! |
Best way to get gear is find a healer or spec a healer I don't find "spec as healer" good advice. Healers that just start PvP will still get overrun by geared players just as hard as dps specs. Also I think it's better to PvP in the spec they like. But I agree with running together with a experienced and geared healer, would help out. Best way for me; -Play in the spec you like. -Never give up. -Learn from your mistakes. -Read about your class abilities that you could use in PvP. -Look up/take good PvP specs/glyphs etc. -Look up/make macro's. -Try new addons. -Watch PvP movies of your spec. -Read PvP guides when they are available. |

I dinged on this not long ago took a week or so to get this gear. I found the best way is to do the daily bg. TB everytime its up.
and farm dungeons, trade VP for CP, and JP for HP as with bad gear arena is a no no i had my first bit of the cataclysmic gladiator gear a day or 2 after I dinged. Oh and if your by youself then converting JP is faster than doing BG's, after the daily win ofc. and depending on how many you lose |

My friends and I do the same thing. Plus we get on Skype together for better communication. Also, in WSG/TP I always go for the enemy FC. Sap the healer that is with him, he will keep running (no team play). Then open on the FC, full kidney + smokebomb on the FC when the healer is out of sap and in healing range. Healer will come running closer, just focus-blind him. FC is dead, if not: focus-shadowstep > focus-kick the healer > sprint back to FC and kill him. Healers in BG almost never fake cast, because they don't expect players to interrupt. |

Find 4 other competent people making sure at least one is a healer, farm BGs till gear complete. Reason: You win 90%.
I'd say playing a leader roll in the BG chat helps but most of the time the average BG player is so busy tunnelling that holy pally in WSG mid field that it won't read chat anyway. |

True. When I was gearing my rogue I did a premade with some friends with the cross realm party system and it was the most fun I had in BGs ever. We went on a win streak on misery horde (and I thought the alliance was good there) and I got 3-4 pieces of gear in one day, which is a lot for me. |

-Make sure u know the common tactics/objectives for all bg's
-Get the most commonly used addons for pvp, esp. *BG defender* -Try to fulfill defensive objectives in your bg -Stay in a group or at least with 1 other player -Provide CC rather than flat dmg in fights. -Follow /bg closely -Inform your team of good intel,as you probl will have lots of rezztime, u have the time to get a clear overview of what is going on the battlefield. -Have Fun !! |

I don't understand how people earn honor in AV.. unless you completely ignore the objectives you don't get anything at all :/

The character I had the most fun lvling is my goblin rogue Foshiz on Outland. If you lvl a Character from lvl 10 in bgs it is a great way to learn all the abilities and get your keybinds set up as your char lvls .... take your time and don't be in a rush to get to 85 lots of fun to be had in low lvl bgs i suggest also getting engineering so you get paracute !! to jump from lm to bs for those sneaky caps :P

Its also easier (if you play a hybrid) try rolling a healer for a change, inevitably in most battlegrounds the side with the advantage will be the one with the most healers, and it can tip the balance in your favour getting some clutch heals to your teammates.
Especially when gearing up, and when you have no gear you hit like a wet noodle. |
