Seen a thread like this on the healer forums so thought id put one up here on the hope that it has not been done already.
While i never got kicked this one tickled me for a long time, I was in ZA with a guildie on my druid tank and before we had started the healer and one dps had left on arrival as often seemed to happen back then, the remaining dps asked me if i was going to put on my tank gear (i was wearing all my gear reforged with dodge as expected) when i said i was wearing it he called me a noob and left. i guess he was not familiar with druids. |

DRUID WHERES YOUR SHIELD nob druid *leaves grp*
Yes these days ppl dont know what other classes have as abilities what stats does a certain class/spec needs to stack they just inspect a bear and see no block/parry rating and no shield like they see on their ussual war/pala tank and just bash you. Same goes for gear ilvl inspection they see few blues and leave not knowing that the tank actually has the stats to tank that specific place. They just want to see full epics and sky roof HP. Seemed to have forgoten they where once entry level to hc and pulled crap 6k dps and you whiped cuz boss enraged. (Some still pull 8k dps while fully 378 gear even now but still bash you). Theres also the 397 geared ppl now who just quit iff they see a few blues thinking they will whipe+whatever else forgeting they where as well once blue geared like all of us at some point. |
|
Also back in troll heroics I was kicked from the grp for wearing a few blue items, although they were tank items they just assumed that I couldn't do it. So they kicked me and I went in again with a new grp and did the whole instance without the biggest problems. It is really annoying that some ppl will just tell you that you can't do it. Nut lucky for us we have fast queque's :D

In Grim Batol (which by then i had successfully tanked and dpsed at least 5 times) I was in a pug that was wiping on last boss. Tank simply would not wait and pulled immidiately. After third wipe I typed this sentence. All right let's slow down i will explain the tactics for this fight for those who don't know. The Tank (A Paladin) Immidiateley typed FUDK!! and then I got kicked.
Go figure. It's usually the paladins who are highly strung in my experience. I think its the pink names that does it' gives them insecurity issues. |

I was once queued for random dungeons and got a Zul'Aman. I got paired with 4 guys from the same guild. They were absolutely brutal, a dps could tank Nalorakk, and healer could keep him up (we didn't try but I'm absolutely sure of that), and their dps was high in the skies. So, I could barely keep aggro, I lost it only ocassionally. They immediately started to flame me before 2nd boss and I was laughing, thinking that they are joking since everything was a breeze, like a simple walkthrough. I just typed various smiles and 'hahaha', and before I knew it, i flew out of the group. I was like: 'wtf just happened...?'

Some people also start complaining, when I enter a heroic in my threat gear (more expertise/hit - less defensive stats) though it's perfectly fine for the job and content and only makes the run faster and makes the healer not fall completely asleep.
I then wear my CTC gear, ask them if that's better, and then wear my threat set again and tell them I do so to make up for the time lost by the !@#$%ing and complaining. Sometimes I get kicked for that but.... /shrug. |

Y u make me sad? I r lovadin <3 I was kicked from LFR spine the other day "because I was dps'ing the big add" You don't say... |
|

Y u make me sad? I r lovadin <3 Usually you can't get people to stop DPS'ing the big add. I got kicked from a group for saying "Just a sec. Got to plug my headphones in" I was removed from the group before I even picked up the headset. |

That's the point, I was the tank. I'm supposed to keep the thing focussed on me, no?
The level of intelligence in this game never fails to amaze me. |
That's the point, I was the tank. I'm supposed to keep the thing focussed on me, no? If you have aggro and people don't DPS the mob all you need to do is using defensive skills. |
|
I once got kicked from a heroic because my RSA (announcer for various spells!), said when I used my divine protection and stuff a few times :[ One of the people in the group started calling me a rtard and said I was spamming. Sadly the others were from his guild and same server n stuffs, so I ended up getting kicked for that :3 so sad.

That's the point, I was the tank. I'm supposed to keep the thing focussed on me, no? Ah yeah sorry brain fart moment. Should have figured that you was a tank in the tanking forum and all :S I was more going with the fact that you have to dps the big add for a bit. Which is what I thought your point was. |

Right before ZG last boss.
Someone at the door... need to open brb. 15sec later chilling in orgrimmar with 15min debuff. TBH was so angry, because group was crap, i was 2nd in dps as tank even on boss fights, and it took us ~40minutes to get to the last one. |
|
Hey im sure there are great paladins, really i've played with quite a few of them after all. It's just when you I meet someone with serioes people issues 9/10 its a paladin. Lord knows why. I was just takin a stab with the insecurity thing XD

The funniest one i can remember tanking on my "Paladin" :) was in Stonecore. Started the pull and the dk kept taunting the adds. kept taunting back and after the first trash pack all i got was abuse saying "wtf you think your doing?!?!?! stop taunting!! and kick..........being the tank thats not allowed to taunt could be veeeeery intresting. Mind you im thinking he might of signed as tank dps and got invited as dps and didnt realise. still what does it take to look at your ui and see whos who?

Well i tend to kick the DPS whos under me when im tanking - and that i have done more than once sadly ^^
First i tend to tell the lacking DPS that he/she has to up his/her DPS, normaly that wakes ppl up :) The strangest kick i've ever seen to my self was when i got kicked from those lame troll HC's, entered and the healer wrote in chat: Ohh not a warrior tank - Voila back in Org ^^ Thank god for instant que :D |

back when i was still playing my dk doing ZG all 4 others died cause of standing in stuff (for the 3rd time). So i just carried on and solod the boss. While soloing the healer said i should just die again cause it's faster when the boss was dead i mass ressed but then got kicked for time waisting.
Got kicked from ZG last boss cause i was not killing the spirits fast enough and letting them kill the healer. Also got kicked after tanking zanozz for not knowing tactics for ds. (was facing the boss to the group in LFR just before the ball spawned) Once got kicked cause i was 'dpsing not tanking' while doing 34k dps on trash while other dps was doing less than 20k. My best ever kick. Got kicked cause the healer taunted (confirmed by there own addon that states when you taunt in chat) then healer bashed me for not holding agro. Thats just pure win imo. |

I never have been kicked when i didn't deserve it.
just a few times when something came up irl and i was afk to long. or when i was not totaly focused on tanking and slacking because of a hangover on a sunny sunday afternoon. |
