We are ruled by a monarchy under the notorious Overlord who weaves the Bane to her will and visions, followed then by her second in command, the Overseer, and finally followed by the third Commander. Three figureheads that command the chaotic order of individuals that bear the flesh sundered mark of Bane to show their allegiance to these three monstrosities. You are here because you want something, or you have something to prove, whether it be a personal vendetta or a selfish goal. The hedony our mark provides will give you the arm to follow any persuit you deem necessary, but do not think that simply because we offer this you will get it for free, no, no. You will first prove and sacrifice for that mercy. You will give flesh, and prove your strength." "But if you are weak, you will be devoured." --------------------------- Bane are a lawless bunch of murderous, self satisfieing individuals, they care for no ones order but their own, they care for one thing and one thing alone. Apeasing their own hedonistic desires and dark intents. Weather it be wealth gain, blood spilling or torturing the weak. Bane has done and enduced it all upon the inhabitants of duskwood and those who dare get in their way. Bane consider the weak as nothing more than play things. They see them as worthless flesh whilest the strong may be worthy of a fight or inducting into the Order itself. They have no alliance, no loyalty save for to themselves and the leading organs of Bane. Every member is initiated by Vaxir or Rickarla's doing of which is an agonizing process to bare the mark of the Bane; a set of four slash marks are raked inches deep from collar to chest by the necrotic claws either behemoth, the residual scar imbueing the victim with the emblem of Bane's banner. There is no tabard as one's flesh is the canvas for the mark. The strong advance, gain in rank and favour amongst their peers within Bane, whilst the weak are tortured and subjected to serving under the lesser, insubordinate serving rank. In most cases these individuals do not last long at all. Should any go beyond this and get the ghastly thought of betrayal into their skulls, then the punishment is severe. There is no noted, set punishment, but those who have been unfortunate enough to survive have soon been seen tearing the flesh of their mark from their very being and running to the fleeting safety of Stormwinds walls, or simply putting an end to their own miserable lives. Throughout all the members of the Bane are put on a forever long test under the glares of the leaders to prove themselves worthy of joining something far more greater than what is known. A Bane Nescient may be pulled aside and granted the best of gifts sought out in the malicious ranks; the knowledge of what truely drives the Bane. Only the powerful and worthy, the most foul of the Bane's miscreants are granted this and are sworn to utter secrecy until the right day shall dawn and all is revealed. --------------------------- Bane is a lvl 21, fast growing, 100+ member guild, While we have strong, niche RP themes, the guild as a entity is open to OOC invitations for guild perk benefits and family/friends to be in the same guild together, even if the choice of RP doesn't fit with Banes persona. We encourage new RPers who join to learn from the more experienced veterans and for the guild in general to enjoy the company of one another whilest maintaining a mature sense to things. Anybody is welcome to join above the level of 10, or Death Knights over level 60. We keep this in place as it gives off a good sense the person is going to stay on the character and make an effort. And, unlike what the guild stands for, we are nice people and only accept pleasant members. We request you have a decent grasp on the English language and do not judge upon another person without reason. We have the right to remove you from the guild. --------------------------- If you come across a member of the Bane engaging in ERP or anything that breaks the Blizzard Terms of Service, then send a mail in-game to Vaxir, Kîmberly, Bandorin or Rickarla, and link to a screenshot (imgur.com is a quick uploading website). I looked over your last thread, nothing seemed wrong what happened?! Or did the posts get deleted? Anyhow, I did my first rp-pvp against you guys and I had my trinket that made a rock fly on you I got scared I would be shouted at for that so I de-equip it sorry for that!

...I'm actually curious. Isn't the violence the guild promotes counted as obscenities that are forbidden by the policies? Or do you conduct those things in private and strictly with consent from the player OOC?
Sorry if it's seen as derailing, but I'd have a hard time getting in touch with you in game. I'll delete my post etc if the question is (admittedly unjustly) seen as flamebait. |

It is more a case of "kill and eat flesh, mauling the victim in the process" being implied rather than acted out. I have so, so many people that say, for example a recent case, ask if their character can be missing a limb or eye and that Vaxir did it, and even people ask if their character can have been killed and eaten / brutalized by Vaxir, and that it just happened.
There are lots of cases we roleplay out something violent, but going off Blizzard's age 12 standards it is never anything so gorey it would be a violation of the TOS. |

I admit I find it hard to believe that you don't act the things out (mostly due to your disturbing, but extremely well done art), but if it's merely implied, and not carried out, I don't see a problem!
...Even though I do hate being randomly jumped on my characters by people with the "Bane" guild tag. It's happened a lot of times, but oh well. Free bump for malicious, ten feet tall murderous savages! (Thanks for thinning out some of the humans for us) |
