Okay so we have a realm wiki and most of it is horribly out of date.
It's here: theshatareu.wikia.com tl;dr Sign up! Add your character(s)! Add your guild(s)! Add your event(s)! Other stuff you can do to help:

---
This event has passed & so info past this point is now irrelevant And as everyone in /RollingHillsOOC knows by now I am quite interested in getting it up-to-date again or at least pretending that it is, so it's an actual legitimate resource for the realm to use as a reference on characters, guilds and events. But I also know it's pretty boring to do, so I was trying to think how to make it interesting. So I'm organising a weekend, will take place on a consecutive Saturday and a Sunday sometime in mid-March or maybe April, when we can all sit down and get it done together, as a community! Won't that be FUN? :D ...okay yeah I know I know. Shush. So instead I'm offering a couple incentives. First of all, there's going to be a Ventrilo server for this. We're sorting it out so we're bumping up the D&T server capacity to 25 people for a while, and for this wiki weekend only we're going to set a different password so you filthy lot can log on (it will be changed back to something else once the weekend's done). This password will be passed out via in-game calendar event, from Ursala on Horde and Kall on Alliance (it won't be posted on the forums, and you'll get an invite via posting a to-do list - see the next paragraph) and hopefully it'll mean we can share music, general natter and give each other tech support as we go along. I don't actually know what to do if we get more than 25 people signing up because it's not like I'm expecting this is going to be a hugely popular event, but I'm planning this for mid-March so hopefully we'll have some warning if we do get more than 25. If we do I'll have to beg and borrow from other guilds so if your guild has a vent server you'd be willing to lend out for 1 weekend then be prepared to let me know! The wiki interface is a bit dodgy sometimes but hopefully having communication with up to 24 other people all struggling with the same problems as you will make it a little easier! Even if you're new to the wiki, uh, I'm not and I'm quite good with the markup by "only uses it once a month" standards, so I should be able to give you some guidance over vent as should the other people. I want everyone who's planning to take part in this to post a list of pages they'd like to to update or create. These can be pages for your character, your guild, an event you ran once, an event you run regularly... This will be called your "to-do list". I'm also going to be posting a list of community pages, such as notable locations or realm events, that need creating or updating. You will be able to volunteer to add these to your to-do list. Your aim for the weekend will be to get everything on your to-do list ticked off, and I will be offering rewards from this. At the end of the weekend (Midnight on Sunday), everyone who has everything ticked off their to-do list will get a goodie bag! I haven't quite decided what's going to be in them yet, although it can't be anything too expensive if I'm going to be potentially providing them for 25 people (or more). If you have suggestions for things that would make it worth your while then say so in your post! Oh yeah. Post. I need you to post. I need you to keep this thread near the top of the realm list. I need you to remember to join in with this and I need you to give me your actual, joining-in support, not your moral support. To be bluntly honest, moral support is no good to me at this stage. I haven't set dates yet, so as of yet pretty much all of you can potentially make it. Moral support at this stage is a way of saying "I like the idea someone on my realm would do this, but I can't be bothered to put my own effort into making it happen!" so I need you to give me your actual "yes this is a good idea, yes I will help you, here is my to-do list" support. Projects like this fall through by 25 people giving their "moral support" and nobody actually caring enough to put themselves forwards to join in. On that note, tell me if there are any weekend dates in March (or April) that you can't make and I'll try and pick one everyone can. TL;DR I need you to post:
Things you can add to your to-do list to receive extra credit (Contributing to each 1 you add will give you 1 extra reward. Some are more technical than others; please don't take on anything you'd be unable to do. More than 1 person can add each one to their to-do list, but please coordinate between yourselves who is going to edit/create each section of that item. Please mark it with an asterisk* so I can see easily that you've taken on a community credit page.)
This list will be added to as and when I think of more stuff to add to it. |

This is excellent!
To-do list: Reward? MONEYZ (though I don't really need one) All times should be fine, apart from the latter end of March, that is, 24th to the 1st of April. |

Hmm, I guess I could try to write something :3
Create a page for my troll Create pages for my various Alliance Alts Possibly volunteer for any events that I might be a part of Rewards? Something cheap (relatively) but fancy? I'm thinking of stuff like Oh, and dates. As long as I can be on, I can be on. I guess. I can't of more me neither. <-- This doesn't make sense o.o |

To do -list:
- Delete the pages for all my characters past and present. Even if the characters still exist (which is by far not a given), the Wiki entries are terribly outdated. That, and I don't play WoW anymore. Posting this if I don't happen to have the chance to be there myself, at the time. Either way, I'll let you do your Wiki cleanup and delete mine only when it's clear they're no longer needed for anything. |
|
|
-Redo/update convocations page ( so old its embarassing )
-Make page for Elient |

Delete most my pages, my characters have had so many race changes/name changes that there is no point keeping the old (now dead or MIA) character pages up.
I don't really know how much editing I'll be up for though. |

I added a couple things to the "community to-do list". One of them is that I want an Archive marker made for pages like Croecell's and a couple of mine where the guild/character/event is no longer active - IMO there's no point deleting pages that aren't actually surplus to requirement (e.g. a copy of an existing page). This would allow us to make it clear that a page is no longer in active use, whilst preserving it for oogling later on.

1. Re-do Sor's page.
2. Update the Convocation's page to showcase the changes in leadership and ranks. 3. Harass my officers until they make pages as well. |

1. Create pages. Many pages. None of my characters are on the wiki.
2. I can't think of any dates I can't make, at present. I have a question, too. I'd like to create some of those pages before the main cleanup, or is it preferred that I leave it til later? |

Give me some time alone on it, what info you want on it, and I can update the front page if you see fit. Links to a Guild List for H/A, Character Lists etcetera.
Payment: That warm fuzzy feeling you get when you do something awesome. I guess I should also add that will only be able to work on it on the Saturday, but might be able to squeeze an hour or two in on Sunday. |

Hah I didn't even read this post but i'm one step ahead of you. I was looking through the old event pages and decided to add my videos to them and I got a bit into it. So I think i'll join you guys as I believe I have some materials that could relate to the events. I also really need to work on Geis' page and make it look a little bit interesting.
To Do List: -Update Geis Archrion page -Add screenshots of events -Work on updating Realm Events i've been involved with (such as Essence events) -Write up more on The Essence perhaps |
