Hey guys. Ok so I'm really pissed off and need serious help with my rogue... First thing, is it me or all of you other rogues are experiencing huge problems against mages 1v1 ? I seem to lose 80% of mage fights and idk wtf do i have to do in order to win... Secondly, against another rogue equally geared i always lose so if you can provide some tactics it might help a lot... Just today i dueled a rogue equally geared, i got the opener on him put bleeds with stuns etc but still he got my hp down faster... WTf i don't even know what's going on... Thirdly, can you guys provide good addons to use in arenas ? Because i'm not having luck in 2s or 3s either... And thanks all for your help and please don't troll because i'm in need of serious help.

Well i use many tricks :P and some of them i prefer not to share.

Still just tell me what you want to beat, if you ask for frost mage there is a topic about it already, just read it.

If u wnat to beat rogues well...best advice i can give you is just keep dueling the ones that beat you and study them.

I would. Backstab spec > Hemo spec

Ok give me 1 reason why backstab > hemo.. As hemo you don't need to be always behind your target, you have higher survivability (Survivability means alot to me) and hemo costs less energy so if it doesn't crit it's not a big problem.. what does backstab have, just higher crits ? thats all ? If you got a viable backstab spec with good survivability i'm really thankful and by that i mean with 2 improved recup from combat tree.

Ready to throw in the towel after it gets tough? First thing you need is patience, dicipline... Well you know.
Getting mastery over something takes time, simple as that. Read the guides and practise.

Higher burst, higher crits. Plus you should be learning to stay behind your enemy at all times anyway.

Backstab is a gamble spec, think of it as 60% chance to succeed and 40% chance to fail, when you succeed you gain little bonus, when you fail you get little behind

Not good for duels for sure, good player wont let you backstab him easy, and you will be forced to stun him to do so, but that limit your options.

And the idea that you want get behind someone to backstab him takes away some of your focus and limits your behaving.You become predictable and your opponents adapt to you.

Exactly, this is why i prefer hemo over backstab... But still, i really don't know whats wrong with my rogue man.

Well, I just hope you stick with it, cause once you get any decent at it, its really cool. The level of control is really awesome. Imho this is the best class in wow and i played them all to 85 save priest(60) and pally(84).

If you play the famous "backstab spec" you can still use hemorrhage at the same effeciency as the "hemo spec". It doesn't cost or give you anything but improved recuperate.

Which is not really a major thing in pvp, except for duels.
If duels mean that much to you feel free to spec hemo, but to see the class in it's full glory you need to spec for that puncturing wounds.

You're sure it will make a difference ? and what do i have to do ? Spam backstab as i did with hemo?

More like 70-75%, and the difference is not small. 35 energy crits are considerable more powerful than hemo, and nothing prevents you from using hemo anyway.

The utility of "hemo specs" is not in using hemorrhage, which both kinds of build can do, but in the extra talents from Puncturing Wounds that are put somewhere else, usually to increase survivability. However in 1v1 the difference between having both Improved Recuperate and Quickness, and having just Improved Recuperate, is pretty small, and I doubt it makes up for the lack of burst during kidney shots.

Got a question, what if i remove 2 points out of Waylay and put them in Improved recup ? That would be a backstab (with PW ofc ) and still some good survivability :P But is the lack of waylay bad ? i mean i can always use shiv

Replacing 7000 trickheals+6% damage reduction for 5000 tickheals ? You know how big this is right ?
