I beg your pardon? what was it? Slandersworn? dresta are you that low to actuly slander by calling others a slander? slanderseption
thank you valk for comeing to the defence but theres no need to drag yourself down now personaly ive never heard of the guild in question, guilds go under, its sad but true, and free guild perks guilds that take a good chunk of new or leveling rpers and the lack of co-operation between rp guilds kills rp overall, and yes strong leadership dose make a guild but only when the leader relises its not about them But good luck on ad overall may you find good rp |

There we go. Teamwork = key to everything; yes it's really that simple; yes that means you're responsible for the wellbeing of the group you're in as much as anyone else regardless of whether you're its leader or its newest member. This is really all that needs to be said now can we please actually really cut out the arguing? It's silly and serves no constructive purpose. You're not even discussing a problem that can be solved. You're just mudslinging. |

Cari, I am valk :) And i'd defend the guild I am in and was in, I was the GM of said guild in question it was a good guild but certain people ruined it

-> Also, it's funny to instigate an argument in a topic like this and claim to be 'defending' yourself. |

Guilds will always fail without a competent leader. I'd say an example of this is VoV. It isn't necassarily a bad guild but the moment Terrafros left it more or less got hooked up onto a life support machine. Sometimes the best thing you can do for a guild is just let it go, rather than leech all of the life out of little by little, pretty much- Well, no. I'm not claiming that Guardian is an RP guild at the moment, it's more of a social PvE guild that only takes in roleplayers. [Edited as I quoted the wrong post] After I told Terrafros of this topic he wanted to reply himself as he was used as an example for this topic. Terrafros: Okay. I’m going to respond to this, but it clearly calls me out and uses me as an example. To start off with, I have but one statement to make to Haru. Get off your arrogant !@# and do something productive which involves more people than your clique. I left because of personal reasons, as well as the quality of the realm deteriorating, something which you played a part in as well. I made this decision, and I did not want to force this upon all my guild members, all my friends. Truth be told, there were many that still wanted to continue as they were, and I respected them for that decision. They might have changed what I built up, but I know they’ll change it for their own good. I see their activities every week on our community site, and the action is still going on at full steam. So to see you make such a ridiculous post, taking that jab at my legacy is disgusting. I remember the last few months of my stay on the Sha’tar, where people consistently tried to convince me you were not just some troll, or not just a kid. I wanted to believe them, but time and time again I was proven wrong. This topic one such an example. Not once has someone from VoV posted in it, and still you choose to slyly hide an insult behind an assessment and then present it as fact. If you want people to take you seriously, and if you want people to stop regarding you as an arrogant $%^, stop making these kind of posts and actually start contributing to the community, rather than posting like a -*!@. You speak of competent leaders? Why don’t you act like one yourself first. As for Dresta, When you were going around, leading armies at age sixteen, the girl who had fully mastered the Warlock arts, your entire character concept as well as behaviour looked ridiculous to me. However, not once did I go on public forums to make fun of you, not once did I deny you any rights to attend any events, and not once during IC encounters did I not take you seriously. So now, you go, and with your newfound superiority, you choose to insult the few people that actually did not judge you on what many could claim to be a very weak understanding of lore and a poorly done character concept? I have nothing against you both, when it comes to your performance in RP, your reasoning, or your story building. But what I do have against both of you, is this arrogant attitude which is unjustified and incredibly disgusting. If you choose to take a jab at others, go do it somewhere less public. No one deserves to publically be insulted like this. I apologize to Ursula and Ruharg. I will most likely rekindle the flame on this topic. I simply cannot stand people making fun of a legacy I built up, and which is still worked on by competent people to make it an enjoyable venture for those that are still committed to it. This is my first and last post on this topic, whatever is said after this, I will likely not read. But my message, hopefully, is clear. Less arrogance, more productivity. Good luck Sha’tar. |

This is entirely hypocritical; the only thing your guild ever seemed to do was boast about events which required some form of inclusive consent to participate in.
Nobody is insulting your legacy, only what the paranoid muppets you left in charge have since made of it.
Not a single element of the above is fact. Educate yourself.
Haru didn't decide to abandon the realm at the first sign of tribulation. I hardly think you're in any position to judge his contributions - and don't presume them to be anything but contributions.
I'm standing up for a player who is receiving an undue tirade on his own departure thread. |
|
Personally I think you're first comment was more effective
I mean... it had so much more depth and meaning behind it compared to you're second, ludicrous dissection of Terrafros's valid argument. |
|
As you wish.
Firstly, you're point about Vanguard of Vigilance boasting about events and excluding players from participating if they don't have 'consent' is completely invalid. I attended each of of the Vanguard's public event's (excluding the Plaguelands operation) on one character or another, and each time I was to attend without any 'consent'. The event's were advertised (how else would people hear about it) but never boasted about, and then after the event's were celebrated, and rightfully so.
It's not surprising how he could have portrayed the comment as an insult to his legacy. As you still do in you're response, you are insulting the people he trusted enough to leave command of the Vanguard to, and in turn insult his judgement by calling said people 'paranoid muppets'. So you contradicted yourself in you're own response there.
Unfortunately I never had the chance to have extended contact with you're characters or play style, however for the periods of time I did have with you're character Dresta in the Army of Wrynn, you're characters concept and behaviour was utterly ridiculous. The 18 year old girl who attempted to get away with anything with paragraph emotes and a flutter of the eyelashes. Not to mention you're 'fake' OOC manner used to wrap certain figures of authority around you're little finger.
And what exactly puts Terrafros in a bad position to pass judgement on his contributions? As so far as I can see, this is all you have done about others, and him.
Terrafros's 'tirade' was simply standing up for himself! As he stated, people made snide undermining comments about him and his legacy knowing that the chances of him seeing these and responding to them are quite low. In terms of others criticism, Terrafros was neither supporting or objecting to any of these comments, he was simply defending his word. So again, another one of you're points made invalid. P.S. You're not the only one who can dissect an argument. |

I -had- heard of the eighteen year old warlock who lead an army, if that's true, that's a pretty obvious lack of lore knowledge =/
|
Fair enough. I'm not a productive guy. I wonder why.
See? This is why I remained in my 'clique', it's because people like you are overly defensive and make false assumptions based on light comments and then turn them into things that they clearly aren't, it's the exact same reason why I rarely posted on these forums before guys like you cleared off. Why don't you get off your high-horse and come down to our level? If you were insulted by what I supposed would be a compliment, then you obviously have a great deal of doubt, yourself. Maybe, instead of having other people speak to you about me, you should have spoken to me instead without being an overly defensive parenting, judgemental jerk that does little more than patronise people you don't take time out of your schedule to communicate with.
I lead my guild just fine, they complain a lot and I communicate with them, we make advancements when we see fit and casually roleplay as we please while maintaining some activity and making attempts to bring new players into RP while assisting other characters with not leaving at the first sight of an elitist. All I tried to point out is that before you left, I saw VoV, out in the open, doing something every week with a lot of support and heavy advertisement, and tried to compliment you on the job you had done with VoV in comparison to what it has become without your steadfast, commited leadership. It is by no means a -jab- but a declaration of opinion. You don't know me. You assume you know me, which isn't the same as actually knowing me. I've done nothing but constantly defend your poor, horrible, compromising leadership skills to people who talk about you behind your back because I know how difficult it is to please a great deal of people, especially when I have to run three different guilds on different games. |
Evidently not.
That isn't his legacy.
Maybe you should have stopped there. We all started somewhere, didn't we? I'm not ashamed of my past flaws at all; I learned from my early experiences and I bettered myself.
I'll refer you to my previous post.
I did not once link this 'triade' to Terrafros. |
There's standing up for yourself and then there's reading something properly and not taking offense because you're too far up your own chapside to take it for what it is. |
|
|
You're all an inspiration to the realm(.)
GO GO SHA'TAR |

MEANWHILE, AS JEDODIAH PLAYS ON ARGENT DAWN.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH. P.S. Vanguard of Vigilance from the looks of it has become somewhat... ...Lame. But I really don't want to judge it depthily, it's only face value. Haru, you're a troll, but an adorable one with flare and I like that. Dresta, you da ho. Seriously, this is only a video game, nobody was meant to take dis !@#$ serious yo. Get up off all your asses and start playin liek a boss. |
