May Contain Nutz are a small group of friends who have played Alliance for a long time (beta in some cases) and have decided to re-roll horde.
The reason this is posted in the Newcomers forum is we really would like to extend a hand to new players. We offer a safe friendly experience where you wont be rushed and we have the time to answer questions and help you get the most from the game. If you are new a lot of whats written below might not make sense. If you have questions or would like to chat either visit our website www.mcn-guild.co.uk or create a horde character on Chamber of Aspects and whisper me for a chat. What type of guild will we be: MCN will ultimately be a raiding guild, but not one where our members feel pressured into anything. We want the time our members spend with us to be very enjoyable and fun. We're also going to be running a good social side to the guild. We feel this is a key factor in creating a relaxing and stable environment to play wow in. What's a guild where everyone just turns up to raid and no one really knows anyone? A boring, depressing one is what. Who do we want? All of us are committed to putting the guild first. Grouping together, helping each other out and playing together. However, less obvious but also important is the guild standing in the WoW community. How you treat others that are not in MCN is just as important as it is towards guildies. We want our members to respect the fact that behind each character is a real person and to treat them how you would want to be treated. We are after any race, class, spec you wish to be. How you play is up to you....even Mages are allowed!! As for the type of person. Well you need to be mature in outlook but with that core of silliness. We do enjoy having a laugh and after all this is a "game". Men, women, couples, sad loners, everyone is welcome. Younger members are not encouraged, but again maturity we have found is not coupled with age....In fact most of the time I act younger than my kids. We're not about to restrict swearing in guild chat but obviously if the use is OTT or in some way hurtful it will be dealt with appropriately and quickly. My wife has a hockey stick with /gkick written down the side and shes not afraid to use it We want people who are willing to put mats and gold into the Guild bank to help others in the guild. We want people who will join in with instance groups, raids, PVP or whatever people are looking to do. We want people who will read and use the website. Telling each other of helpful sites etc they find. Ultimately we want players that are going to be fun, enjoy playing and involve themselves with the guild. Drama queens, negative thinkers and players who log in once a week should really look elsewhere as MCN is not for you. How it will work: Like most successful re-roll guilds we will be implementing a lvl cap at several stages. This promotes a healthy lvling experience where we can group, do low lvl raids and have fun together. Where those level caps will be is still under discussion and I'm happy to listen to suggestions. At this point we have no plans to restrict the use of hairlooms or other XP boosting items, however take into account the quicker you reach the level cap the longer you will be waiting for others to catch up. When the majority are at or close to the level cap we will raise it. As the cap raises so probably will the entry level required. For the similar reasons of leveling together. In the past we have found people at level 10 in a level 60, 70, 80 guild for example, often feel left out or start requesting/demanding low level help. Exceptions can be made however. At the moment we are discussing a controversial measure in restricting members from using LFR when we reach 85. We want to do DS and other raids as a guild. Doing things via LFG we have found, takes away the level of satisfaction a boss kills gives when doing it again with the guild and we don't want that. However 85 is a way off yet and I'm sure there will be many more discussions to come before then. The Practical Details: The guild is already formed and the website is up in a basic form and being worked on. Also on the way is a voice comms server. Best way is to fill in the very short application on the website www.maycontainnutz.shivtr.com and pop onto the Chamber of Aspects server and /w either Arthurhoof, Keldam, Misshorne or Wuldo. I'm sure we will be online a lot tomorrow.

Just to address a couple of common questions we have been asked:
What is the current lvl cap? At the moment it's 40 to allow new members to catch up etc. What classes/races are needed? We are all about letting people play who and how they want. Our website (www.mcn-guild.co.uk) will be kept up to date on the front page of any closures of class recruitment. At the moment it's only Shaman that are restricted. The closures are there to help balance the guild. I'm sure if someone is desperate to play a particular class that is closed we can have a chat about it. Are Death Knights allowed We are unable to accept DK's until we raise the lvl cap to 60. My suggestion of cause is to join with another toon get to know everyone and when we raise the cap swap to a DK. How many are RL friends? There are five of us that know each other IRL. (Including my wife). Although one of those I only met in RL thanks to the game and hes come to be a good friend. We are very careful to make sure we don't create any cliques in the guild. There will always be that one or two people you play more with, however as officers we will of cause want to group with everyone and get to know you all and I hope the other members will feel likewise. The biggest divide i have found in any guild has been level and of cause the caps are there to stop that. Personally I have met some good friends over the years playing WoW and have been in guilds that have even had RL meets and one had a married couple that met playing WoW. So who knows anything is possible. How many members are in the guild The guild has been running for aprox 48 hours now and we have 16 members and 2 new apps on the website. So thats 11 new friends and more on the way. This response has blown us away and we would like to thank all who have joined. We are not looking for a 400 member guild etc. I don't think we want to grow past 30-50 members max but as will all things time and discussions with the members we decide. I can also tell you we have a number of healers....not to put any more off far from it. However healers can be a sticking point in any guild so to have plenty from the off is great. What are the plans when the guild reaches 85 This is something we have only had brief discussions about. Most of us come from a PvE raiding background and I'm sure its something we will want to do. If and when we do it will prob be on a serious casual basis as in 3 fixed nights a week and making sure people are prepare with flasks etc. However this is in the future and like all important choices we will discuss it with members via the forums so everyone can get involved and decide. How many officers/ranks are there and what do they do? At the moment we have two GM's Keldam and myself. We have three officers (two in name only) and we will add more as the need arises. Their responsibilities will I'm sure change over time. However they are caretakers more than rulers. They are there to ensure the smooth running of the guild when it comes to invites etc. From the start Kel and I agreed that important discussions would be made as a guild and we are very receptive to suggestions and ideas. Great news thanks Leetgeek. Again really impressed with the responses getting on for about 25 members now since starting Saturday with 5.
More over really pleased with the quality of members...some really nice people....oh and Zaorish :) To answer another question asked....yeah we would like to do some old raids as we lvl. A lot depends on what everyone wants...although as Co-GM I demand we do Karazhan...still my fav raid :) |

As of today all classes are still welcome to apply but we are scratching the barrel when it comes to Rogues, Priests and Warriors.
