Shadow Dance

So I just got shadow dance...yay for only having 6 seconds to edit the action bar...What bright spark at blizz comes up with such a stupidly floored idea, goes through alpha & beta testing, and over a year of release, and it's still not changed...

On my Rogue I just put everything I use during Shadow Dance on an action bar that isn't my main one, works just fine since only the main action bar changes.

Level up to 85, get 4pc tier 13 + glyph of shadow dance, that'll get you 4 extra seconds ;)
Seriously though, I agree, it's always a pain to do. Another suggestion (though I assume you've already done it the painstakingly annoying way) for the future: Determine up front what you'll put where, then put those abilities in the bar ABOVE the shadow dance bar. Then hit shadow dance and just start dragging those buttons 1 bar down like a maniac. You won't lose any time with 'now which button did I put my cheap shot on in stealth/vanish mode?' and can just drag all buttons on there as fast as possible. Second time I did it like that, I got it all done in 1 shadow dance :) You'll of course end up with your upper bar being completely messed up, but you have all the time you need to restore that one. |

Not really. Premeditation is needed, even if you macro it with the openers. Cheap Shot for stunning the hell out of everyone in critical situations. And Sap for CC chains in PvP. I even kept pick pocket to use it on mobs when I don't do it before the opener. Besides, you may need other abilities during Shadow Dance that often are in yuor main bar, like Kick. If you don't want to rearrange your bars, you need to tweak your Shadow Dance buttons. |
