Looking for the insecure and sensitive

Hi everyone,
Our guild is looking for more members. Our aim is to create a very small guild where we get to know eachother over time. Main thing to it that we do not want very skilled players that are expecting fast progress and shiny epics in the fastest way possible. Skilled players are accepted, only if they maintain a easy-going attitude towards the game. We are especially looking for members that are sensitive and insecure. Let me explain this. There are quite some people who cannot be bothered with dungeon finder and never been in any raids because they do not like the attitude that is spread around by the majority of people. Our idea is to do guild runs, so we can offer a safe environment for members. We are looking for players that are not playing the rushing game, players that are sensitive and insecure about things ingame and out of game. A lot of times this is coupled together. We are looking for those having a hard time fitting into the guild because they feel they are less than their skilled guildies. This will leave members behind, sitting on a social rank in a raiding guild where only progressive events are planned. We are on a first name basis in our guild and we do not have any rules set. In a small guild it is not needed. If you would like to learn to play your class, learn a specific role or are generally new to the game, then we might be the guild for you. We accept members from all countries and from all ages. Re-rollers are accepted too because we are aiming to do raids in the long run and only when we are ready for it as a guild. Feel free to give me or anyone from our guild an ingame whisper, or ask questions here. Thnks for reading, and apologies for the wall of text. UPDATE: 29-02-2012 We currently have 12 members. All are fairly active, friendly, helpful and easy going. We also got a few experienced people in our guild that like to commit to our mindset which will help us in the long run. People come from the UK, The Netherlands, Denmark and Finland. (hope I did not miss someone there). I do like to stress that we intend to raid when we all are ready. If people do not want to raid, they can still be in the guild. The idea of this guild though is to play together in areas where we normally wouldn't because of abuse and such. The intent is to try older raids (60/70/80) first to get to know eachother and get a feel for raiding. Also to see the content that most of us missed. As most of us have no experience there, it would be hard to know where to go and what to do. This is where the more experienced players come into play. They're not here to rush us through things, but to let us learn. After we nicely 'progressed' through the older content and have gotten to know eachother more and maybe get used to TeamSpeak a little more, we will progress through normal Cataclysm dungeons. We could approach these dungeons step by step like they are raids. So we could leanr an instance and then move on to the next. After we done them all in normal mode we could go for them in heroic mode. Maybe throw a Barradin Hold also. This is the general idea, but not set in stone. This has all have to be worked out with the members and those that are in for a more leading/organising role. UPDATE: 10-03-2012 Our guild is growing nicely. We have around 30 members and mostly there are around 15 members online. We still accept members, but we as picky as we have ever been. Preserving our mindset is most important as we think this will make us last. All members are helping eachother regardless of level and guid chat is often quite busy with talks. We are looking for a premade site to put some guildinfo up and we are also in the process in assigning leaders. This is just to assure that we do not have one person deciding everything and that there is someone online to talk to new people. Feel free to whisper me for an invite and/or additional information. UPDATE: 13-03-2012 We now have a blog going at http://yoghoyogho.wordpress.com/ First source for news and updates about TYYA. Thanks for reading. |

I think that this guild would suit me splendidly. I have lvl 85 main on alliance side, and I haven't done any dungeons/raids on her at all, I just soloed all the way to the 85. Since I have no experience in dungeons, I rolled this warlock, and I plan to conquer my fear of playing in a group. I think I'll whisper you ingame when I'm online (propably tonight).

Your both welcome to join us, we are small but friendly guild and we want to support each other in leveling, dungeons etc... none of that rage quitting or calling people noob talk here, just players learning and enjoying the game without big brother spamming dps numbers and putting you down over it.
If your a player who's willing to learn, help and be patient when things don't quite go to plan they please join us. |

I am online weekdays between 19.30 and 23.00 mostly and in the weekends I might be on earlier and longer.
Thanks for all your nice replies. Posting this is already a success. I would like to add that we got no rules in which classes we accept and/or which roles we need. My experience is that this will fall into place. Everyone joining needs to accept that everyone gets a chance at learning their role, so it might be that someone not always gets the tanking or healing role. DPS is always a bit easier. You can contact me (Melotonia), Cliødhna (also me) or Dreyk. |

Tonight we were with 5 members online, we hope to get around 10-12.
As of yet I cannot tell who will play when, as most members just joined. |

I've been considering rolling an alt, perhaps on a different realm, for some time. This weekend I'm going to start playing with my girlfriend (I'll just pick whatever race she does), and we're definitely going to play on Emerald Dream. If we could both join your guild, it'd be really great! I've been in different guilds before but none of them had a strong community. I'm looking forward to rolling with you guys.

This guild sounds like a very good idea :) I especially like the idea of a small guild. I always seem to drown out in bigger guilds because I'm very shy.
I levelled up my first character without doing any instances at all. On my second character I ran some instances with a healer friend, and the abuse she got really scared me off from queueing solo again. It took some time before I pugged again, and as a dps only. Slowly moved on to tanking, and recently healing as well. Right now I can say that the abuse doesn't hurt me as much as it used to. Too many pugs have toughened me up. But it always remains an unpleasant experience. So I guess I don't fall into the "too scared to pug" category any more. I know when I am doing a good job and when I am not. But I always get angry if I see people getting abuse for nothing in pugs. I can't even count the times that I was the only person left sticking with a new tank in heroics, explaining the tactics on bosses :( That said, I still have to get the courage to try raiding. I'd really like to join your guild, but I can't promise to be a very active player. So I am not sure if I should... |

Skraak, you would be welcome to join us, and your girlfriend too ofcourse.
Note that we do not have a strong community yet, but it is going the right way, we had a very good (unexpected) start. We need to build on knowing eachother before we can take the next steps. A very important thing is that everyone has pretty much the same attitude. We do not have a trial period in our guild, as I think a lot of people are taking the chance and risk to join us and be part of it. Iyera, thanks for your nice post. You are welcome to join us. It feels that you have got some experience and this is a good thing. Being experienced and even be able to play your class well is not a bad thing, it is just hard to find the people that are both skilled (ingame) and nice. Why is your time limited to play btw? Feel free to whisper me if you want to talk things through. |

Awesome guild guys bumping for kind people <3
No shame or care for people mocking me these days as I have been playing the game forever and am generally more confident in life. But remember back to vanilla days as a teenager with no clue and it was rough at times, to the point where people would mock lack of knowledge to such degrees I would never log the characters again out of embarrassment. It is terrible that such goals should have to be set but such is the life in an mmo. Great to see guilds catering to players that just want to have fun/learn without pressure and hostility :) |
This for me, more or less. Still if I wasn't in Off Topic Generals on my Horde on Emerald Dream I would probably join you guys, it does sound like a fun guild! Good luck to all of you as you learn the game, your class, and your role. Have fun! |
