Hello!
I recently bought a new computer, and one week after that bought a new and better graphic card to try get better fps but it's really not good and I have no idea why since I'm not really familiar with computerparts, whats good or not.
Graphic card is a XFX Radeon HD 6950 with double fans.
PCIe 2.1
2GB GDDR5.

Hi there,

The first thing we need to do is reset the game to defaults, can you please rename or remove the WTF, Cache and Interface folders from your World of Warcraft directory.

Can you also try to make sure there's no programs interfering with the game by running Windows in a Selective Startup:
http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/windows-closing-background-applications

If you just added in this new graphics card, please also make sure any older graphics adapter drivers have been completely removed.

I have removed the folders now, and I'm not sure what programs on my computer that would inferfere with World of Warcraft?
I added the new graphic card two weeks ago and have been playing like this since then so I don't think i've removed any older graphic adapter drivers unless it did it by itself.
I thought that for 270euro it should be a real good graphic card that would run perfectly on WoW....

No it didn't.

You weren't updating an existing driver, you were downloading a new driver that was not already on your machine. You'll need to use the Control Panel to uninstall the old driver.

How am I finding that driver then? I don't understand why it would be a problem anyway since that graphic card isn't plugged in to the machine.
I don't find any drivers in "Unistall a program" etc.

On "Low" settings I'm at around 45-50fps...

comman problem with "new computers"

if you buy them from a shop they are most likely not top notch for gameing
you probs have a basic cpu with a low end power supply.

which meens when u get a nice
powerfull graphics card it throttles to half power so it can actually run.

those double fans
you have eat a nice ammount of power. most 600 watt power supplys are not ment for
powerfull cards.

try getting a 1000W gameing powersupply with 5 or more 12V rails

also u have not told us what specs u have.

im guessing 2.6ghz generic quad core

6gb generic DDR2 ram

generic low end power supply around 600w

no decent cooling e.g gameing case with cooling fans keeping the system very cool
probs just a stock case with 1 tiny little system fan stock cpu fan all auto controlled by motherboard (which is not good it runs to be silent and barely keeps it cool enough).

also have u tried turning it of and on again

EDIT: Before doing any of the above try downloading MSI afterburner, running it and seeing the temp on your gpu/usage % while on wow http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

Download the latest drivers for your 6950 from here http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx

Make sure you uninstalled the drivers for your last gpu by going onto control panel and checking for them (this is also VERY important)

what processor are you using? it could be throttling your graphics card (not fast enough so the graphic card has to slow down to be on pace)

what's the speed of your ram? it might also be a factor

And finally, don't worry about the powersupply, I'm running an overclocked gtx 570/i5-2500k (4ghz) in a regular midtower with good cooling and I'm not having any issues. Edit: 750W PSU (working as 700)

Power supplies can't really throttle your system much because your system would demand the electricity it requires anyways and if the power supply couldn't support it then that means you'd get a couple of blue screen of deathes everday (on a side note, do you?)

You should be able to atleast run everything maxed apart from multisampling/shadows/particle maybe

I'm onto your processor, since wow is a highly processor dependant game (old optimization ftl)

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_vista64.aspx

Download the 1st package and try it. I think it should ask you to uninstall the previous 6950 drivers so you don't have to do that manually (atleast it does in nvidia)

I'm using a FXF PSU with 750W, for gaming.
My processor is a AMD FX-8120, 8 core 3.1ghz

I can't find any drivers from my old graphic card really.
I can't run WoW with max settings, I play with "Good" and still at around 30fps.
Sometimes it can jump up to 100fps and stay there for a short duration(10mins) or something, but then its back to 25-40fps.
I lag in 25man raids/bg's.

@Krixas 1000w power supply? Please dont post unless you know what you're talking about , a 700 watt branded power supply like he has could run Xfire 6950 nm a single card.
